Dreadful and getting worse

Ordered on 1st September and was promised delivery on 17th September, bit slow but ok. Then I get an email telling me the item would actually be with me on 24th September. Ok…

Now it’s 30th September, still no item and no response from the company. Why are schools using this appalling company?

Update: October 15th. Apparently it will be despatched next week. Nothing leads me to believe this is true…

Update: October 28th. Let’s look for a moment at PlayerLayer’s response below shall we? They’ve been impacted by the global supply chain issues apparently. That must be why their respresentative told me on October 2nd that she could confirm that my son’s top was ready and would be sent from the warehouse on October 4th. So many lies PlayerLayer can’t keep up. For this who are keeping track, apparently I should receive my top on November 3rd. Sure. Ok.

Update: October 29th. I’ve removed the name of their lying representative. We don’t want people to be judged for being liars after all.

Good quality but dreadful service

The quality of the items when they arrive is good.
However I have waited months for orders to arrive, wrong items sent, communication is poor, refund for returned stock has still not arrived despite sending emails. Then sent email requesting cancellation of the rest of the order (as I had waited three months) - no response for a couple of days until they then send a despatch notification for the order I asked them to cancel and refund!
It has made what should be quite a fun experience, buying PE kit for school, into a complete pain that is taking too much of my time to chase up and sort out.

Absolutely Poor
No communication, no governance, no hope. Absolutely embarrassing. Ordered an item 2 weeks ago, called and they said they'll email me back, emailed and no response. This is honestly turning into a scam.

Horrendous, zero stars…

If I could give this company zero stars I would. Absolutely horrific service! Ordered items 6/7 week before school started thinking it would be here in time as after ordering from a previous school I’d had a terrible experience too.
They have been absolutely useless. The ‘spill over’ team that answered and took numerous messages, none of which were returned were abysmal.
I made an order of almost £500 and had to send my children into school with make shift uniforms.
After countless emails demanding to know the status I was assured it would be delivered and was given 3 different dates, none were kept.
Finally I was told a delivery had been made! It was one item of the whole order and to the school which then caused chaos as who would send one item to a school with over 500 plus pupils, not even addressed to them?!?
They have yet to answer or give me any update on the rest of my order.
Absolutely terrible, would never recommend or use them if I didn’t have to.
Can not stress what a useless service they provide!

Horrendous 0 stars

Horrendous £300 order, no idea where it is, when it’s coming. Impossible to get through to customer services. It always goes through the the “spill over team” who say they will email customers services who will call me back. They don’t !! EVER!! 11 days in a row waiting for call back over 50 calls made. Numerous emails ignored. Am tempted to drive to Nottingham to find out what’s going on. Unfortunately we can’t avoid them as have a total monopoly with our school !!

Items were marked as in stock on the…

Items were marked as in stock on the website when I ordered but they obviously weren't. First delivery date came and went with no communication from PlayerLayer and it was only after I emailed that I was told the items were delayed. I then later emailed to check if the new delivery date would still be met and was told yes to then receive an email the day before items were due to say they were delayed again.
I have no choice but to persevere as this is the supplier for my son's school PE kit 😡

Very bad delivery service

Very bad delivery service. Ordered (School PE Kit) 18th August. till 2nd of September no delivery and not even indication of delivery ... . Now still waiting
Customer service number doesn't answer for more than 10 calls today in different time .. Sent them e-mails but no response for the last 7 days
If not forced to use them ... Advice is not to do

Very bad delivery service

Very bad delivery service. Ordered in the 16 August. Expected delivery on the 30 August. Now still waiting might be on sept.10. school starts on the 6th.
What else can I say?
They need more staff, more strategic way and systematic way in doing this kind of business.

If you’re not in any rush for kit, and you have patience for not-so-great customer service then Player Layer is the shopping experience for you.

Website wasn’t great to navigate, but once you worked out how to stay in your club’s section it was less frustrating.
It took 17 days from order to delivery. This was apparently because there was a backlog of customisation (two items I ordered were having teeny initials stuck on) but I only found this out when i rang the company as my emails weren’t being answered.
Wrong stuff was delivered. Emailed to ask for correct stuff to be resent. Never had a reply, but they were ‘quick’ (by their standards - 8days) to send the correct items.

Just disappointed

Not what I expected. I've ordered on 04.05.2021 a Men's Hoodie from Polo Barcelona, 2x White- and 1x Blue Victory Layer Tee (also Polo Barcelona) , 2x Shorts (for sure Polo Barcelona) and it's still not delivered.

The hoodie was delivered, but the other things are missing. I'm really disappointed about the circumstances because I've ordered the stuff because of the good looking.

I am aware that the delivery to Germany is not exactly easy after the Brexit. But then you either have to refund me the money or make sure that the things arrive as quickly as possible.

Due to the long delays in the delivery of the other items, I assume that the package has disappeared and therefore I had to contact UPS (Tracking ID: 1Z06A9V36891256204).

Perhaps you are reading that and can we help then?

Appalling service

I have children at two seperate schools both of who use player layer. The kit if and when it arrives is fine (if somewhat expensive) However, regardless as to what they say in their replies i am yet to have an item dispatches in their timescales. Items are shown as in stock and then when orders are placed they are out of stock. Revised delivery dates are only given if you chase. If you call customer services you have a 50:50 chance of getting through, often you press one and then after 3 minutes you get the engaged tone and the call drops.

Still waiting over 6 months later

I ordered an item back in October, wrong item was sent and I am still waiting for the item. I keep getting told the item will be delivered shortly but it never does. Customer service completely ignored several of my emails.

Excellent customer service, the company responded quickly and helped me to change my order (even though the change wasn't favourable for the company). Highly recommend!

100% the worst company I have ever done…

100% the worst company I have ever done business with.

I ordered a jumper back in January and I have now been told I have to wait till the end of April to receive it which I’m going to guess will be pushed back further! I have been told that this is due to supply issues, which I would understand (pandemic and all) but surely they have a stock tracker and therefore should not have allowed me to order if it wasn’t available. What is more annoying is that they have released new lines of clothing before they can even fulfil the orders they currently have!

Sustainable Quality

PlayerLayer provided me with some eco pant, an ecolayer fleece and a hat. The quality is phenomenal and fits lovely. Comfy, sustainable and good looking!

I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for new sports gear. Unlike most recycled brands I’ve loved in the past they’re based in the UK so it’s even easier to get them shipped and thus deals less impact on the planet 🌍
