Edison is a Tyrant Company
Edison had a transformer blow a couple of weeks ago in my area. It knocked out power to my restaurant for over 12 hours. I had to go buy dry ice $300, then the cost of not having a lunch crowd minimum $300, because THEIR equipment failed. This is one of many times this company continues to fail and cost me thousands of dollars. They did the same thing with the Woolsey Fire. Yet, on my bill they charge me a standard rate up until 4p. From 4p to 8p, they double my rate. So, 1., they provide faulty equipment without a backup, 2. they price gouge at peak hours and business owners who don't have a choice but to use electricity during the summer, and 3., when their equipment brakes, Greg Kafka from SCE sends you a letter and says sorry for your loss, but SCE is not responsible.... Then who is Greg? The cable you put in at the end of the street was big and square. I watched you put it in the ground. SCE is a utility and should be affordable and available and reliable for everyone. SCE is making up their own rules. They need to be held accountable for their lack of reliability and accountable for their price gouging of small businesses. They are tyrants and this is not what a utility company should be or how it should be run. If you cost a business money because of your equipment failure, you should credit their bill whatever they had to pay out of pocket or whatever they lost. I gave this to you in receipts. I would never buy an electric car... EVER. They shut off the electric or have an "outage", you are trapped. How can you charge anyone double for this kind of service at any time of day?

Terrible customer service! It is impossible to reach a human being. Their website is poorly designed and gives inadequate information! Unfortunately we don’t have a choice of a different company

I wish there another Electric company beside Edison
I’m going to be very honest. I don’t know why only Edison is the only electric company in Southern California? Is like they don’t give a care what you say or try to give theirs customer a chance to fix it.
This is exactly what happens. I own business somehow how my autopay turn off so I owe around $2000 for 2 months behind bill I forgot to pay. As a businesses owner you’re alway busy and hardly check your mails. I would appreciated Edison would call me before disconnected. Now they try to make me deposited additional $4000 when my business is doing very bad during cold season. I explained to them that they wouldn’t care. There’s alway exception with other big companies during the past when I forgot to pay bills.
Now, I have to paid $6500 empty all money on my business bank account . Yet , they didn’t turn on the electric right away. After I waited 2 hours no electricity so I have up . I have to closed down my BUSIENSS for the day and generate not a cent today . Not to mention I have to pay for my employees during the time they stay with no electricity powder.
I forgot to pay electric bills over $4000 in the past and paid for the interested. I only owe $2000 and add another $4000.
I guess they’re the only electric company in Southern California and they know we need them so they don’t even care about other people businesses making money or not. What come around goes around.
I owed Gas bills for 5 months currently and they haven’t disconnected my gas yet which I alway pay them all at once when I have the money plus interested. Solcal Gas company have no problem with it so why Edison does ? A big company like this can’t even help out their customers during difficulties time or should make give their customer a chance to catch up with their bill.
I wish there another electric company in souther California so Edison know they have competition to treat their customer right.

So I guess now customer service just hangs up once they answer after being on hold 20mins. Great job your one step better then Spectrum. In other words your customer service is nonexistent.

Thank you for providing electricity to my area. Admittedly, your website has some serious bugs but hey...at least you never illegally diverted taxpayer money for infrastructure upgrades to executive bonuses and subsequently pled guilty to manslaughter when outdated equipment burns down an entire town every year or so.
The bar is pretty low, but I'm glad I don't have to fund a criminal organization just to turn on my lights. Thank you for at least not being the worst.
