Untrustworthy
I purchased an aftershave on 1st September with Scent Outlet who are an associated company and within about 40 mins decided to cancel the order. I received an email confirming cancellation. Then the following day I received the the item. I contacted the company to say I received it and wanted to send it back. They then said I would have to pay the postage myself. So I posted it to Beauty Scent as advised by tracking and they received it on the 8th September. I have emailed several times requesting my refund since but to no avail. No reply since then. I even sent them a photo of the person who signed it and tried calling but have been on the phone for over an hour now. Just constant music playing. Very frustrating and now looking at contacting the Office for Fair Trade unless I receive a refund immediately.
* I have since received an email on 17th September regarding my refund request querying why I wanted a refund. After I sent my explanation they have gone quite again and no response since.
This has since been resolved as I ended up getting through to the Customer service manager who did apologise but that was 3 weeks after the item was returned. I have received my refund. However, I stick by my original statement that I wouldn't deal with this company again.

Made an order Wednesday and all items received on Friday. Looking at the reviews on here I was a bit worried but went through no problem. All items fine and smells nice. Said boxes would be damaged but they all seemed fine. Will be using again.

Avoid Scent Outlet at all costs. i placed an order for £71.00 for a few fragrances, and the next day they have cancelled my order and my partners order at the same time.
i emailed them to ask why this has been cancelled, there response was the order was incomplete (not given any more explanation on that) ive asked several times why it was incomplete, to no reply back.
Luckily i did this through paypal and money will be back to me. Crooks of a company. please avoid at all costs!

Seven Year Old Scent Being Sold as New
I recently bought a bottle of Ralph Kauren Safari for men from Scent Outlet. It was described as new but in a damaged box. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised by how little damage there was to the box. However, the fragrance was very weak to the point that it disappeared after half an hour. I know that RL Safari is not the strongest scent, but this was ridiculous. Consequently, I checked the batch code on The Cosmetics Registry, and discovered that the bottle was well over seven years old, hardly new. The Cosmetics Registry advise that any products containing alcohol should not be sold if they are older than five years. I assume Scent Outlet would be aware of this.
I have reported them to eBay and I have also contacted them directly, but so far I have not received a reply.
Additionally, I have noticed that the only time they reply is when people question the authenticity of their products. It appears to me that Sanjay Vadera the owner of the Fragrance Shop runs the Scent Outlet as a bit of a sideline. I urge anyone with the slightest intention of buying anything from these very questionable retailers, DON'T, DON'T, DON'T. They are clearly up to no good.
Update to the update. 11/2/25.
It is now just over a week since I received my bottle of Ralph Lauren Safari for men. In that week I have sent over a dozen emails to Scent Outlet including their so called CEO, Sanjay Vadera (never replied). I informed them that the exceedingly poor performance of the product was probably due to the fact it was over seven years old (info courtesy of the Cosmetics Registry). Their response was, "all are fragrances are genuine." Their only other gem was, "open a return with eBay." I did more than that I reported them for selling products with false information.
I have been on eBay since 2008 and I have bought and sold hundreds of items. But I can say hand on heart, Scent Outlet is by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Unresponsive and untrustworthy with little or no customer service skills. I would urge anyone who is tempted to purchase fragrance from Scent Outlet, please, go somewhere else.

I opened a return request with Scent Outlet on 7/2/25. By the 12/2/25 I had still not received any reply to my request. I subsequently contacted eBay and told them of Scent Outlets atrocious behaviour in dealing with customers. They advised me to give them a further five days in which to respond. Needless to say, they didn't. Consequently, eBay have now refunded me my initial purchase price.
I can only hope and pray the eBay shut their site down. They are deceitful, callous and clearly hold their customers in contempt.
The MOST bizarre experience I have ever…
The MOST bizarre experience I have ever encountered shopping with a retailer. I have bought perfume from here before without much issue, save for slightly delayed deliveries. The most recent purchases with them has left a really bad taste in my mouth. Scent Outlet were happy enough to take my money for several orders but after a week, have yet to dispatch anything. I waited patiently thinking I would give them the benefit of the doubt. But by the following week, I emailed the customer care team asking about my outstanding orders.
I received a reply asking for a letterhead with my name and address on it because of the value of order. The most expensive being about £60 I might add. 🤔 Hmm that’s strange, never come across that before and I’ve spent way more at other retailers without ever being asked to hand over proof of ID. I can’t help feeling that this is simply a delay tactic and maybe something else shady going on.
Why would they need proof of anything when they have already taken my money but not delivered the goods? The last communication I received after chasing them up yet again, is that it’s now with another team for review. WTAF is this? I’m buying perfume not a vehicle on HP or a phone contract requiring a credit check. Imagine being a grown adult being subjected to data protection infringement, just to obtain some value priced fragrance? Is this real life?? I’ve been back and forth with them via email, even copying in the CEO/Director Sanjay Jayantilal Vadera . You won’t get any straight answers on the tel. no. 0161 541 8000. Even though Scent Outlet amongst others is a subsidiary of The Fragrance Shop, sharing the same director. I’m still waiting to hear whether I’ve been ‘approved’ and deemed worthy of spending my coins on some perfume that have yet to be delivered. I don’t know if I ever will receive my orders from Scent Outlet or whether I will need to take this up with PayPal and Trading Standards but I will update. Needless to say I will never shop here again. Too many similar and better fragrance retailers out here, to be dealing with this 💩
UPDATE 4 days later: I still haven’t heard anything from Scent Outlet. They are actively avoiding my emails and calls at this point. On 2 occasions I have been told by agent on the phone that a manager would be getting back to me on the same day - of course they never do. So I have referred to Trading Standards and raised a claim through PayPal to get my money back. It is the only way to get a refund of the money taken by these con artists.

Info: Scent Outlet is a dormant company since its incorporation in 2020. Therefore it’s safe to say that essentially SO is The Fragrance Shop using the trading name Scent Outlet. As a matter of fact, Sanjay and his brother own & run quite a few companies like this and all operate from the same address: Fragrance Quarters, Mosley Road, Trafford Park, Manchester, England, M17 1LE
(in case anyone wants to send their complaints there)
Sanjay does appear to be aware of the shady practices that these businesses engage in.
Need a refund? Go through your bank, credit card provider or PayPal.
Also report to Trading Standards or even MP.
Breaches of privacy or GDPR (private info rights) should be reported to the Information Commissioner.
Any misuse of your finances? Report to FSC or Financial Ombudsman.
Hope this helps any potential victims of these unscrupulous sharks. Do not waste your time going back & forth with the non existent customer services, apart from to keep a record that you put them on notice of non delivery/partial delivery/request for refund etc. Their tactic is to delay and obfuscate. So they will say things like “someone or another team is looking into it”; “wait another 10 days”; “manager will contact you”…you get the gist.

I have bought Invictus perfume, paying nearly £40 for a 50ml bottle. I have bought this as a
gift fully understanding that the box may be damaged or missing
cellophane. And I accepted that. The perfume arrived. The box was
ok, no cellophane, no problem, I wrapped it. My husband opened it
on Christmas Eve, on the bottle there is ENGRAVED PERSONALISATION reading "to
grandad, merry christmas, all my love, evie". To me, that is just a
tad beyond a damaged box!!!! Nowhere on the website does it state anything about personalised items. For the price they charge I would
happily accept damaged box. But this is absolutely horrendous! They clearly do not inspect the items prior dispatch. I
am disappointed and furious both at the same time. I will never
again shop at this site. It is not the first time they completely failed. Previously they sent item different to a picture and did not accept any liability.
I have contacted then now, in response received same automated message asking for several pictures of dipatch note, order note, product, product box and outer box! (If you fail to provide any of this, thats it, they will not do anything to resolve the issue). My advise? AVOID THEM. Its not wort it. You can find most of the items they sell at similar prices at any other online marketplaces.

Please be careful. I placed an order and money was taken from my account. Later that evening I received email to say order been cancelled and not yet refunded. I'm currently on hold to customer services and have been for 35 mins so far. I read reviews but didn't go back far enough as the tops ones were all OK. It's not a large amount of money however, I don't feel that orders and money should be taken if orders can not be fulfilled. And emails should state when you can be expected to have the money returned to you at the very least. The order was my daughters Xmas present and I now need to replace it without knowing if I will get this money back.

Scent Outlet is a scam. I will advice potential customers to avoid this enterprise as much as possible. My sister placed an order on their website. The order was cancelled with no explanation and no refund was done. They are no where to be found. Don't fall for the low prices you see on their website and loose your hard earned money. Your account will be debited but no delivery will be done. Buy from your traditional outlets you know. My sister has lost more than 200 pounds to them. Don't be the next victim.

I made 3 orders since I discovered them ( about 2 weeks ago )
Everything came exactly as described, few were without the box ( again, I knew that).
Delivery was super quick.
Perfumes are 100% genuine, some may be old dated, but still good 👍
The only thing could be improved - more stock/ more new items added, as for over two weeks there has been no new items added on the website.
Buy with confidence, and ignore other negative reviews 😉
