Great talk by Helen McCarthy and wonderful way of bringing people with similar interests together! It was an inspiring talk that gave me a better understanding of my worldview.

Really well organised, thoughroughly researched topic and enthusiastic engaging speaker and content.

Perfect venue, acoustics, service from staff. Excellent and passionate speaker.

I really enjoyed the topic and the speaker's knowledge. I appreciated the light-hearted comments as the topic itself can be an unsettling one. Overall a very positive experience and will definitely book another Seedtalk in my interest.

This was a great talk. Very interesting exploration of the history of folk horror. I would recommend.
Remember to bring water, as there is no bar available at the venue.

Dr Jo Meuller was very knowledgeable but also very relatable. The talk gave great insight into the inner critic and ways that we can try to speak kindly to ourselves.
The talk was at a manageable pace and she also gave time for checking in and grounding.
I would definitely recommend.

I don’t have enough positive adjectives to describe how wonderful the talk The Art of Studio Ghibli in Dundee last night. Helen McCarthy was so incredibly knowledgeable & packed in a lot of information. It was also engaging & amusing & kept my attention right up until the last question was answered. It was my first Seed Talk & will be the first of many.

Studio Ghibli talk at Dundee - brilliant! Informative and knowledgable speaker, good slides, excellent evening. Just one thing - says 6.45-9.30 but talk actually starts at 7.30pm, its only the doors open at 6.45

Brilliant talk, cost very little , content was interesting , speaker was excellent.

Prof Purkiss was incredible!! So knowledgable and this was an amazing lecture. Definitely recommend.

This was an amazing presentation. I learned so much about vampires throughout history, our relationship with the myths, fears, and allure surrounding them, and what they reveal about us as individuals and societies. The presentation was exceptionally well done, and the speaker was both highly knowledgeable and engaging. It was fascinating to explore how vampires have evolved over time and continue to reflect our cultural anxieties, desires, and imagination. I especially enjoyed learning about vampiric legends through the lenses of psychoanalysis, gender, and sexuality, which added depth and insight to the topic. Highly recommend.

This was a very succinct and thorough delivery of a difficult to hear subject! I had so many Qs and have used the reading list that was given as a springboard for further understanding. I urge anyone who wishes to know more about misogyny, religion, patriarchy, rituals and history of our country to listen to this talk…

A fantastic evening. Brilliantly organised and Dr Jennifer Farrell was an exceptional speaker. Passionate, engaging and thoroughly entertaining. A fascinating subject ("The History of Witchcraft & Women : Magic, Rituals & The Patriarchy). This was my first Seed Talks event but most definitely won't be the last. Many thanks to everyone for putting this together.
