If you are not in a rush and want to do a click and collect then this place is for you. They charge once you collect. Great prices. Fab gin selection. Now used them twice and intend to keep using them

but have to deduct something for the first of my two recent orders needing a follow up email from me after a week, in swift response to which Mike mailed back from the warehouse with apologies that my order had been overlooked. It was then soon delivered. My second order featured no hitch or delay. Both deliveries were flagged in advanced, well packaged and represented good value for precisely what I had asked for.

Made an online order and then read the reviews - thought oh no huge mistake.
Heard nothing from the company and no response to email.
BUT
6 days later my order has arrived, nicely packaged and all good. SO I deduct a point for the bad comms and customer service you cant get anyone, but they have come up with the goods. I think I would be wary in future just because of others experience. Maybe I was just lucky.

Ordered the same set of 6 bottled twice. Safe packaging, superfast delivery.

Avoid avoid avoid. I would rate zero stars if I could. Website claimed to have stock of wine I ordered which was totally misleading . I was contacted nearly a week later to be told in fact they have no stock, leaving no time to make alternative arrangements. Email communication abrupt and unsympathetic and no apology. Dreadful service.

Order never dispatched. Says pending. No answer from the phone number or email. Complete waste of time.

Avoid- Order placed and no communication whatsoever re order. No replies to email and voice mail inbox full, uncontactable. Payment left pending. Have used several times previously but this will be the last.

Placed my order on 28 November and received it on 4 December. Would be helpful if the website gave estimated dispatch times. I followed up via email on 3 December to find out dispatch date, Mike came back to me confirming order was being dispatched that day and it arrived next day.

I really wish I had read the reviews before ordering. Since I placed my order on 19 November and 10 days later I’ve heard nothing and received nothing. There is no phone number to ring and the chat line doesn’t work. Emails ignored.
Please don’t waste your time or money using this company. A sad and expensive lesson learned.

Ordered a case of hard to get wine on 17/11, got it on 19/11. Great price (£4.00 a bottle cheaper than other sellers) and exactly the wine I wanted. Was freaked out by all the negative reviews on here (read after ordering) so was well pleased with my delivery and that prompted me to write this review - a bit of balance.

Yep. I’ve been suckered. The adage “ too good to be true “ should’ve been a red flag.
Sent the payment 3 months ago and nothing to show for it- not even an email.

Well, didn't want to write a negative review on any company but felt have to.
Was looking for some wine and this company came up on a search with a good deal on a case of 6.
Ordered online. Next day I get an email saying this was a typo and the case was 3 bottles, so basically double the price.
When I responded that it was clearly displayed multiple times is was a 6 bottle case I get a snotty reply slagging off my own business! Customer service is clearly non existent in SimplyWinesDirect or whatever they call themselves. They want to make their problem mine. Not someone I want to have anything to do with when there are loads of great shops out there.

Made a first perchase nothing delivered a week later no contact apparently my order is on hold for no reason and no contact number on web site wont be using them again , specially since i have seen the reviews now looks like a scam company rebranding with a new name each time they con enuff people to get found out ...

I Have used Simply Wines Direct over 20 times and they are fantastic. They send regular updates and deliver within a couple of days. I have used Whisky Exchange and House of Malt and Simply Wines Direct is by far the best. ( note I usualy buy Cognac from them )

Waited two weeks for the wrong items to arrive. No answer to repeated emails, phone messages bank full.
I wouldn't use them again, or recommend them.

I ordered 2 cases of wine on the 7th of June 2025. This wine was for pre wedding drinks on Saturday 21st June.

To this date I have still not received either case. I have emailed simply wines on numerous occasions , i have asked for a refund and and left a voicemail message .

As of 1220 today I have still not received any correspondence from simply wines direct. To make matters worse we had to go out and buy wine locally for the pre wedding drinks.

I would think twice when ordering wine from this company

I received an order of wine purchased 20 May on the 2nd June only to find out the vintage received was not the one I paid extra for 2019 but a 2021. The store had a picture of the 2019 vintage so one assumes this is the one you receive.
I email SimplyWines Direct and Mike said return at your own cost. He also wrote when I said well given this is a cheaper bottle of wine, can I please receive a discount given is cheaper than the 2019 version which I paid for and his response:

Ordered bottles of Bardstown Straight Bourbon and Pure Kentucky XO. Received Bardstown BiB and Kentucky Vintage instead, bottles are of a similar standard but didn't receive any communication to check if swaps would be acceptable so that was disappointing. Masters of Malt & Whiskey Exchange might be more expensive but you get what you expect.

Amazing service & Comms. I ordered on Saturday and it arrived Tuesday. No messing around, well packaged and an email at every step of the way. At an awesome price point too. I would highly recommend them.

Found a bottle of wine for a great price, but was initially put off by the bad reviews. I decided to take the risk and I'm glad I did. Communication was great throughout and my parcel was delivered by DHL within a couple of days. It's great to see a company clearly take on board previous feedback and make positive changes. Will buy from again.
