Exceptional Service from South London…
I recently had my yearly boiler service carried out by South London Heating Limited, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From the moment I booked the appointment, their customer service was top-notch. The staff were friendly, responsive, and provided clear information about the service.
On the day of the appointment, the technician arrived right on time and was very professional. He took the time to explain the process and answered all my questions thoroughly. It was evident he was knowledgeable and experienced in his field.
What really impressed me was his attention to detail. He ensured everything was running smoothly and even took the time to offer maintenance tips to keep my boiler in top condition for the year ahead, as well as advising me to install a CO alarm sensor to ensure overall safety in the event of gas leaks.
Overall, I highly recommend South London Heating Limited for their excellent customer service and thorough work. It's reassuring to know I have a reliable company I can trust for my heating needs!
New boiler installation
Video quotation worked great, Mark was very helpful in discussing options. Our boiler installer, Will, did a great job installing our new boiler and adding TRVs to some of our radiators. They came round to tighten a couple of weeping valves shortly afterwards. Great customer service.
Company gone downhill
This company used to be good but has gone downhill. Their customer service is terrible and it takes a long time before you get through to a real person on the phone. I used SLH to install a new boiler and four new column radiators. We were only sent one option for the radiators which felt odd but as we only had limited time (it was close to Christmas) we went with what was suggested. In hindsight I would have liked to have been given more options.
The man doing the work was friendly and got the job done, but after fitting the boiler he left a lot of mess and I spent all evening scrubbing dirty marks off my white kitchen sink and walls.
The next day, we discovered that two of the radiators that had been ordered were the wrong size. SLH had come to measure them in person so we were confused - the man rang the boss Mark who said that as the store hadn't had the correct sizes in stock he'd just ordered the next closest. He had done this without informing us (and presumably would have kept the money from the cheaper radiators). They simply did not fit.
They ordered some radiators in the correct size and went to pick them up, but all that was available at such short notice was a different design to the other radiators. Thankfully they are reasonably similar but I am disappointed to have spent thousands of pounds with SLH only to end up with mismatching radiators in the same room. SLH also tried to charge us for different in cost, despite it being their mistake. We would never have accepted the wrong size radiators.
Later, after the work was done, we discovered an enormous hole in the wall behind one of the radiators. It's 20cm wide in some places and stretches the whole length of the radiator. As the radiators are column you can see it in the daylight and it looks awful. We don't know if this happened whilst they were being fitted or if it was already there but we are confused as to why he wouldn't mention this before fitting the radiator, so we at least had the option to get the gaps filled. We are now having to pay more money to a handyman to remove the radiator, fill the gaps, and put it back on.
When trying to pay, I had some questions I needed answers to, but couldn't get through to anyone despite my repeated calls and emails. They only got in touch when they thought I might not pay. Sadly I will never be using SLH again.
Professional and trustworthy business!
I was wavering between 4 and 5 stars …
I was wavering between 4 and 5 stars as the first engineer who came out left my house saying that, due to issues beyond his control, he could not restore my heating because I needed another new part. Within an hour, I was rung by one of South London Heating's really professional call handlers to say the Director of the firm was coming back within the hour to look at the boiler and to reinstate the heating. He arrived, he was great, he fixed the issue in a trice (no new part was needed). He said he would not have left me (or anyone) with no heating. Thanks Nick. I am pretty sure my rating will be five stars next time and I will definitely use South London Heating again. Very reliable which is unusual in London (sadly).
Very disappointing customer service after boiler quote
Although everything went well at the beginning with the Director, Mark, coming to our house for a new boiler quote, we were never able to speak again to him or to someone else afterwards, other than an AI voicemail or a secretary who did not have a clue of what was going on and kept promising us, in vain, that Mark would call us back. After emailing and calling them several times, we are giving up.

Waited almost 7 weeks for an heat pump…
Waited almost 7 weeks for an heat pump and air con quotation in the summer and Mark did not get back to me. Felt like it didn’t seem important to them. Went elsewhere.
Respectful and professional
I have used SLH for a number of jobs on my central heating system and they have always been very respectful and professional. Easy to book, prompt and reasonably priced - they even wear the shoe protectors which is a nice touch and can’t be said for all contractors.

Great experience, efficient staff and friendly customer service. They just installed a new boiler at one of our properties, and serviced a boiler at another one, and they did a fantastic job. This company has shown its true colours recently
This company has shown its true colours recently and it really is terrible customer service. I’ve been a customer for 6 years and I assume Auriel has left now as well because I don’t see her name anymore, she was AMAZING and worked so hard. This means Kerrie, Lucy, AND Auriel have now left. Staff turnover seems high here and now it affects the customers. To Management, please ensure your staff are happy so the business runs smoothly and customers are happy.

Great service, competitive pricing
Everyone I have dealt with has been straightforward, helpful, polite and genuine. Their quote was competitive and lacked the pushy sales techniques of other providers. On the day the engineer came in and got on with the work, very professional and work completed to a high standard.
Great service and friendly staff
I have used South London Heating to install my boilder, for my annual boiler service and for ad hoc repairs. They are very efficient and helpful. When I had a problem of the boiler being on permanently during a heatwave they came very quickly to sort it out the next day. They also rectified an issue with some untidy wiring to the boiler that I was unhappy about. I will definitely continue using them and would recommend to others.

Fantastic work carried out my two engineers. I had a new boiler installed and the service provided was first class. They arrived promptly and carried out the job as promised. They left the area spotless and talked me through the different functions for using the boiler. I would definitely recommend to family and friends. Thanks south london boiler penge.

Great from start to finish
Great from start to finish. Our installer George was amazing, really friendly and worked really hard to get it done in the timeframe, particularly as it is an old house so various issues arose. Would recommend South London Heating to anyone. We had some really difficult experiences with plumbers / engineers in the past so it was lovely to have someone as friendly and as capable as George.
