Created by Abi Selby, Spabreaks.com is a spa booking service working with more than 1300 spa destinations in the UK and overseas and arranging spa days and breaks for up to 6,000 people each week. From a small team of three, we have grown to a family of more than 90 members of staff with an office of knowledgeable spa consultants in Brighton. But those are just the numbers. Spabreaks.com's founding principle was to make the world of spa more accessible to anybody and everybody who wanted to go. We wanted to bring back the ancient purpose of spas as places of sanctuary for mind and body. We wanted to showcase the variety of spa experiences available to every individual, occasion, location and preference. Crucially, we wanted to make spas more accessible to anyone with a major health problem or disability, and work with industry leaders to make sure that anyone who had previously felt marginalised never feels that way again. Over the past decade, that’s exactly what we’ve done. We believe in the many positive benefits of spa experiences and that they can and should be available to help the health and wellbeing of everybody. That’s why we are working to make spas accessible and enjoyable for every body by providing an unrivalled choice of spas and spa packages, through first class service and convenience for all of our customers. Spa break booking

I initially booked a break, unfortunately it transpired those dates were unavailable.
I dealt with an outstanding Customer Experience Exec. (Kaya).
She was courteous, professional and answered all my questions with honesty and transparency. Her responses were swift, and I have now been booked on another break.
I would highly recommend.

Absolutely awful company don't do it…

Absolutely awful company don't do it they would not re arrange my booking even after I followed all their protocols of trying to contact them which I did but unfortunately they're closed at the weekend so I couldn't get hold of them. I actually contacted the venue as well and informed them by telephone call and email
Customer services was very rude and basically said in an email. Sorry you've lost your money and you're not getting it back this case is now closed.

So helpful

Cowboy company

Booked a spa day through here. Absolutely awful. Disgusting spa with blocked shower and rubbish on the floor. No hairdryer and had to leave with wet hair. They changed my appointment on the day as had double booked. Nightmare..and what did spabreaks do?... a £10 refund. Speachless. Would never use again. Unethical money grabbing joke of a company.

Don’t brother spending your money here!!!

Don’t brother spending your money here, the customer service is terrible. I’ve been trying to get a reasonable outcome for ONE YEAR!
I feel completely let down by this business and would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing a voucher.

I spent £300 on a spa voucher, only to later discover that actually using it was incredibly difficult. As someone who works full-time, weekends were the only realistic option for me. However, whenever I tried to book, I was repeatedly told that Saturdays were unavailable, whether I wanted a daytime or evening appointment. The only availability offered was on weekdays.

Had these restrictions been made clear before purchase, I would never have spent £300 on the voucher in the first place.

I contacted the business several times to explain the situation and advised that I felt the voucher had been sold without properly communicating the practical limitations on booking availability. Rather than trying to help, offering alternative solutions, or extending the voucher while the issue was being discussed, I was met with a complete lack of flexibility and customer care.

The voucher has now expired and my request for an extension has been refused, despite the fact that I had already raised concerns and attempted to use the voucher before it expired.

What is particularly frustrating is that the business appears happy to take customers’ money but unwilling to assist when those customers encounter genuine difficulties using what they have paid for. Losing £300 because of booking restrictions that were not clearly communicated and a refusal to show any goodwill is unacceptable.

This experience has left me feeling that customer service is simply not a priority here. I will not be purchasing from this business again and would advise others to carefully check availability and restrictions before spending their money.

We've checked the payment history on your booking and can confirm that you originally booked The Afternoon in the Spa Garden spa package at Carden Park for £278.00 to travel on a Wednesday using Klarna rather than a Spabreaks.com voucher for this experience, and subsequently contacted us to cancel the booking..

Although a refund was against our standard terms and conditions, our team issued a spa credit as a gesture of goodwill to avoid missing out on the opportunity to enjoy a spa experience. Our spa credits can be used as full or part payment against any venue or package listed on our website and are valid for a year.

The package you chose to book is not offered on a Saturday. It has always been a Monday to Friday and Sunday package only, and details of which dates or days of the week an experience is offered are outlined as part of the booking process.

We've reviewed our contact history from the contact details we have from your booking and our last recorded contact from you was an email on 30th March when further guidance was provided regarding the use of your spa credit. We have received no further correspondence or contact attempts from you since that date.

However, I can see that a member of our Customer Services Team has reached out to you today to assist you with resolving the issue with your spa credit.

Excellent service

Charlotte was really helpful. The hotel that had originally been selected was no longer available and she went through the options in the city we required aswell as explaining what was available at the new hotel we choose.

Very disappointed with my experience…

Very disappointed with my experience using SpaBreaks.

I booked a spa day for two through SpaBreaks and paid £398, believing I was getting a competitive deal. Shortly afterwards, I discovered that the exact same package was available directly through the spa’s own website for £318.40 – almost £80 cheaper.

I contacted SpaBreaks to explain my concerns and asked them to review the price difference. Their response was simply that the spa was running its own sale and that they had no control over the pricing, therefore they would not offer any refund, price adjustment, or goodwill gesture.

While I understand businesses can have different pricing structures, I find it unacceptable that a specialist booking company is charging significantly more than booking directly with the venue. What disappointed me most was the complete lack of willingness to help or acknowledge how unfair this feels from a customer’s perspective.

Had I known I could book the same package directly for £79.60 less, I would never have used SpaBreaks. Unfortunately, this experience has left me feeling misled and undervalued as a customer.

I would strongly recommend that anyone considering booking through SpaBreaks checks the venue’s website first, as you may find the same package available at a much lower price.
