I have sold two properties with Strutt and Parker within last three years. Will Mullen at the Norwich Office managed both sales. The latter property was a large property comprising land, substantial extensive outbuildings as well a substantial country house and additional cottage. This was a complex sale and yet Will’s demonstrated exemplary levels of professionalism, a focused attention to detail, and demonstrated empathy given the sale was due to bereavement. He ensured we remained focused on and achieved the full market value. The sale offer was achieved within just over a month of presenting to market and despite challenges encountered his provided a consistent level of support and communications until completion. I would not hesitate to call upon Will or his Director Tom Goodley, who provided additional advise when required for future sales.

The Lewes branch advertised our house, no feedback at all from viewings, no contact from office despite chasing, messed up appointments and days lost waiting for EPC, totally unprofessional, due to our grievances they had to admit their failures, avoid using at all cost. A complete shower of inadequacy.

Booked to view a house in Harpenden. Received an email and text confirmation. Arrived at property for appointment and was told the slot had been double booked. The agent offered us another time, hours later, which we couldn’t make.

We came from out of town to view the property so this was a major inconvenience. Goodness knows how a slot can be double booked when automatic confirmations are generated. Agent very unapologetic and I have found staff on the phone to be apathetic and unhelpful.

I have been buying and selling property for the last thirty years and Will is just the most perfect person to be an estate agent. He has just the right amount of presence and confidence but completely understands the need to also be silent and allow the prospective buyer time to think. This agents refuse to take me off their database, they keep sending me information on available listing like every day. this pollutes my mailbox and frustrates me, I had written to them many time to stop and used UNSUBSCRIBE feature nothing works so far. I just like to share this so others are aware.

I had a very restricted viewing time for potential buyers and she did an amazing job of managing that, and follow up questions. Absolutely terrible so called rental agents! Viewed a property to rent was expecting a follow up call (never happened) when I inquired as to the status of the rental and how to proceed was then told ' sorry we are not taking anymore enquiries on the rental' And don't bother calling them as they never answer or return your calls! Thanks for wasting my time I definitely won't enquire about any property up with yourselves and will make sure friends etc don't neither.

We recently bought a property in the Sevenoaks area with Strutt and Parker. Victoria helped us with the process from the initial viewing to sale. She was attentive, thoughtful about our needs and always followed up on requests and tasks in a timely fashion. Above all, we really appreciated Victoria’s calm, professional manner when negotiating some challenging issues to make sure we had a successful completion. We would recommend buying a property through the Sevenoaks office.

S&P did no marketing for us, and the team was defensive when we tried to make suggestions as to how to sell best (having had to handle several viewings ourselves at weekends- quite why estate agents don't work at the time when viewers are available remains a mystery to me!). I am sure they are fine selling conventional properties to wealthy buyers, but they didn't seem to have the audience for our mid-market character property. They didn't do anything to generate interest. It was not a happy or successful relationship, so we have moved on.
