It was frustrating, at times, to get the feedback. There was a time lapse since I live in the U.S, and you have your headquarters in England. I just wished I could pick up the phone and. talked to Alex. But that isn't a possibility. That was a frustrating feeling.. That i my man complaint. It felt rigid and impersonal.
I am not saying that Alex wasn,t helpful. He was. But I had a feeing f disconnect. I suggest that you work on that aspect of the class

Great and easy to follow lessons.
The material and the way things were explained was great, I really enjoyed going through the lessons. It was nice to do it all at my own pace and all the homework was graded very quickly. For the most part any questions I had was answered quickly, however there was a time or two when I had a simple question and it took three days to get a clear answer and for some reason caused a lot of confusion. Everything was easy to figure out however I did have a problem of the lessons not showing up as complete and I would have to go back through and reselect them for it to work. I am unsure if this was my problem or not. I am very glad I do this and would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn.

I really enjoyed this course, it was packed full of information and fabulous practical advice and links. That was brilliant. What I didn't like was the American voiceover on the videos. I prefer real voices even if the video is AI generated. Otherwise a really good course which I have put into practice immediately.

Before starting these courses, I really thought teaching would be too difficult for me. But now I feel much more confident, and I'm eager to start delivering lessons. The TEFL courses are just great, I learnt a lot about how to structure a lesson, to adapt myself to the students' level and age. I also learnt how to teach on line, and which platforms and tools I can use. I particularly liked watching the tutors delivering their courses, which made things much more concrete. My tutor was very helpful, giving me important advice when correcting my assignments. I loved the 6 sessions with Alex Harrington and other "future teachers", she definitely taught us a lot, and made us feel comfortable all together. Another very important thing is the resources made available for us. Thank you to the TEFL Org.

A flexible way to get a recognized qualification
The course was very informative and helpful. My tutor always provided constructive feedback in a timely manner after I would submit my assignments. The course is content-heavy and the quizzes can feel a little obvious at times, but overall I think it massively improved my teaching skills. Would recommend.

Caution: 14-day refund promise overridden by "Learner Agreement" trap.
I am writing this review to share my factual experience regarding the refund policy and sales tactics used by this company.
1. False Urgency: The website utilises a countdown timer that suggests a "sale" is ending imminently. In my experience, this created a sense of false urgency to purchase.
2. Refund Obstacles: The company’s Terms and Conditions (Section 6) state that customers are entitled to a full refund within 14 days for any reason. I requested a refund on Day 7, well within this window.
3. The "Learner Agreement" Loophole: Despite my 14-day statutory rights, the company refused my refund. They claimed that by signing an administrative "Learner Agreement" form—which is required to even see the course—I had waived my right to a refund.
4. 0% Progress: Most significantly, the company admitted to me in writing via email that my course progress was at 0% and that I had not accessed or streamed any content. Despite this admission that no digital service had been consumed, they still refused to honor the 14-day cooling-off period.
Conclusion: I found the process of trying to exercise my legal rights incredibly circular and frustrating. I have had to involve my bank to protect my funds. I would advise potential students to be extremely cautious and read the "Learner Agreement" very carefully, as the company appears to use it to override their own 14-day refund promise.
UPDATE 06/05/2026: The company has replied with a generic template that fails to address any of the factual points raised. They suggest they would be "happy to help" if I want to "get back into teaching," yet they continue to refuse a refund for a course I have 0% progress on and haven't even started. This dismissive response further confirms the lack of transparency regarding their 14-day refund policy. Still awaiting a resolution.

I never contacted Tefl, yet they have been sending me marketing messages completely without my consent and then it was a process to be removed. Always a bad sign in a business.
I contacted TEFL to complain and to remove my email address from further contact. TEFL confirmed that I never gave them my email address and so it was done without any consent, but they still chose to send me marketing messages. At least they have now removed my details.

The exercises in the modules were challenging and excellent.
The exercises in the modules were extremely helpful. Kudos to Iona, who conducted the 20-hour portion of the course. Iona is a truly outstanding instructor who put a great deal of enthusiasm and thought into our course. As an older student, I would like to personally thank Iona for the Powerpoint challenges. As a retired relationship manager, I had access to a marketing team who put all of our presentations together for us.
