Hi - SS - we wrote back to you the moment you raised this and have not heard back from you. Yes all albums are new from distributors. If you reply to our email and provide a picture we can replace for you. We wrote today when you first contacted us: I'm sorry to hear there was a quality issue.
Can you advise if you think the damage was caused by shipping, if the album arrived open, or if it was more likely a production issue?
Would it be possible to please send a photo by replying to this email?
Once we have that we can organise a replacement.
We are very sorry for the quality issue and any inconvenience caused.
UPDATE 25/9/26
We have emailed you 3 times to request a shot of the quality issue so we can either replace or refund and heard nothing. If you can do this we can resolve the issue.

First time ordering from The vinyl store, 4/5⭐️ due to one out of the 6 vinyls I ordered arriving slightly damaged and not sealed. However after some excellent customer service from the team they got to the bottom of the issue for me and rectified the issue in a timely and professional manner. These things happen and I think everyone should give them a fair go.
Pricing was fair and delivery was standard, no long waits & my order was well packaged. Will order from them again at some point and recommend to my vinyl loving friends too!🎵

The difficult-to-find album was competitively priced. Well packaged for transit arrived safe and sound.

Album arrived so quick!!
I had been looking for a while for this album and searched many places in the UK but all sold out. So decided to look in Australia (as it’s an Australian artist) and found it was on your website. I took a chance last week and received it today and I am so happy. The whole process from buying to receiving was brilliant. The time it took to get here was very quick too. Thank you so much I will definitely use again :-)

Sensational Customer Service
It's one thing to have a great easy only purchasing experience. But the true test of great customer service is when something isn't right.
I wouldn't have thought possible but, I had received a sealed re-issue album with a 20mm scratch. After sending through a few photos I received an apology straight back with an offer to send out a replacement asap.
The few back and forth emails all occurred well after hours too. This meant everything was sorted same day not over a couple.
Such a great experience. As a priority over other retailers, I will always be looking to buy from the vinyl store when possible.

Go local, don't use this company who try to hide their address, have no phone number and don't respond to emails. Terrible service and hide behind their online presence. They claim to have replied to my emails but this is false and I had to sell the records unfit for purpose locally and lose half the purchase price. If only they told the truth and replied to emails as fast as they argue with my honest review we wouldn't have been out of pocket hundreds of dollars.
UPDATE:
Thanks to Trustpilot I finally got a reply from The Vinyl Store where they admitted to lying on their response below as they never replied to my emails. They even pasted my private email below against my request which proves they didn't answer my query until I posted this review. Hopefully this helps other people avoid this dishonest and nasty company. Don't just go local, go anywhere else!

Tony - your facts are built on lies and you are not the customer - you went from some fit for purpose which means you didnt want and we covered that with the purchaser.
Good luck with truth in your life - it is clearly not something that is real for you.
We answered all your emails. You wanted to return an unwanted gift that someone else purchased with us and we told them and you we have a no returns policy and that if you had returned the ones unopened we could only refund the purhaser credit card and heard no more from the person who purchased the items. We had several emails from you in which we responded. Please supply all the facts. Here is the return policy. We have supplied goods as purchased and that was the it. Sorry if you do not like your records or do not have a player. That is between you and your gift giver. Facts matter. https://www.thevinylstore.com.au/pages/returns
We also replied to the purchaser and said we would in good will refund them once the returns you said were sent back arrived and we inspected them for resale. We never heard anymore.
The story keeps changing as to why they were being returned and our refund policy does not cover change of mind - which it became (and not a quality issue - which you have recourse to address with us and via ACCC).

Thanks for the reply, here's my initial email:
Sorry for this, it's a bit embarrassing but I was given a few records for my recent birthday that I believe were bought from you, but I don't have a record player.
Therefore I need to return this gift as I can't use it. A couple of records have been removed from their plastic wrap so I will try to sell them elsewhere, but what's the next step to return everything on the attached invoice apart from Crowded House and Bowie that are opened?
They are still in the original box so I can send back to you and get a refund on the 7 albums that are still in saleable condition. I believe it comes to $435 and you can have the sleeves back as well.

Excellent customer service
Ordered several records from The Vinyl Store. They arrived quickly and packaged well. A cover on one of the records was damaged so I sent a photo to The Vinyl Store who acknowledged the email immediately and replaced the record at no cost. Excellent service and would use again.
