The Tipsy House was formed by three friends from the North East of Scotland in November 2020. We decided to create a business that focused on converting your favourite alcohol bottles into premium candles. We use eco-soy wax and recycled bottles which are sustainably sourced making our products both eco and vegan friendly. The candles are prepared in small batches and are poured by hand to ensure a high quality of product that fits perfectly into every home. The burn time varies from 40 to 80 hours depending on the size of the candle. All our products are eco-friendly as our goal is to reverse the environmental impact created from single use glass products.

Lovely candles……small issue.
Lovely candles, really good size and the fragrances are lovely. The only issue I had is one of them had lots of wax residue on the outside so I will have to clean it up before I wrap it.

I was let down on delivery
I was let down on delivery, being told by both the supplier and dpd that I would receive my package on the 28th October. After not receiving it, I checked and found that the package was still in Aberdeen. I eventually received the package on the 31st October without any real explanation of the cause for delay. Very disappointing.

Hi Chris, we advise that our candles are custom made to order and can take 5-7 business days for them to arrive from the day of your order. From the day of your order to delivery was 6 days including the weekend. Unfortunately DPD sent you an estimated delivery date and it was delivered shortly after. I understand that can be very frustrating however it is beyond our control what happens with the courier company we use. We have refunded your delivery charge on your order as an apology for the notification DPD sent you. As a small local business these issues can sometimes happen and we hope that doesn’t deter you from using us in the future.

Unfortunately due to your delivery address being in Orkney we have to use Royal Mail as our courier rather than our usual mainland domestic courier which is much faster.
