As a newcomer to the owner-operator…
As a newcomer to the owner-operator trucking industry, my experience with TQL has significantly adversely affected my perception of my work. They appropriate a substantial portion of the earnings generated from my efforts. I operate my truck, purchase fuel, and pay tolls, yet they remain at home or in their offices, claiming a large percentage and providing minimal compensation.
SCAMMERS. DON'T WORK WITH THEM
We are a carrier and they scammed our company for $7000+ of deliveries we did for them. They have the nastiest team who has no idea about load deliveries and you can't prove them anything. They keep telling that the load was late or the trailer was not clean or had a flat tire without any proof whatsoever. We could not get our hard earned money back.
My vendor used TQL to ship my order
My vendor used TQL to ship my order. After waiting 6 business days on a shipment that was supposed to be delivered in 3, I contacted their CSR. I was informed that the trailer coming to our area wasn't a full load so it was shipped via rail. The 3 day quote we got was turned into 7 days when they did that but we still have to pay for the 3 day quote. I said so to save a few bucks, you hurt your customers. He didn't have a response. I informed my vendor to never use TQL for my shipments in the future

LOW BALLING COMPANY!!!!
In order to stop this ABUSE we MUST come together BOYCOTT this HORRIBLE CLOWN SHOW...it's STRENGTH in NUMBERS!!! They NEED us (CARRIERS) FUEL has skyrocketed through the roof ($6.00 per gallon g in FL) and they had the nerve to offer a rate of $450 for a load from Orlando, FL to Atlanta, GA
Math AIN'T Mathing!?!?
CHEAP! CHEAP! CHEAP!
Johanna Snyder
Johanna Snyder! I had a very disappointing experience working with TQL, specifically with this broker .
Our trailer was held at delivery for multiple days, which resulted in a layover situation. During the time when assistance was needed on her end, communication was responsive and professional. However, once it came time to address the layover and additional compensation, the tone changed completely.
Communication became dismissive and unprofessional. We were told not to follow up and that it would be handled “later,” without any clear timeline or accountability. This kind of inconsistency is not acceptable in a professional business relationship.
We expect respectful and consistent communication, especially when delays and operational issues are involved.
At this point, I would like this matter to be reviewed by a supervisor, as this situation has not been handled appropriately.
I hope TQL takes this feedback seriously and improves how these situations are managed.
Stay away from TQL
Stay away from TQL. They are the worst. First they tried changing pickup locations very slyly. Thankfully my partner caught what was going on. When I asked about it he acted very proud that he had only changed it by 20 miles and not a 100. And would not pay any more for the extra 20 miles. I made it clear that I only had an hour and 15 to load or I would miss another load that paid much better. We stayed for an hour and a half and then left and boy did he ever get mad at us. Kenneth Campbell is his name. Honesty and transparency is obviously not a thing with this company.
Drayage Service from Hell
Drayage Service from Hell.
The issues began at the very start of the move and continued to escalate, ultimately causing significant operational disruption and damaging our client relationship.
The first issue occurred during the pre-pull of the container, where the driver demonstrated a clear lack of understanding of the applicable charges and was unable to communicate what the charges were or why they had been incurred. This inability to provide even basic clarification created confusion and delays from the outset and reflects insufficient experience to properly manage a move of this nature.
The situation then deteriorated further. Without any authorization or coordination, the driver made direct contact with the shipper. This is entirely unacceptable and should never occur under any circumstances. All communication with the shipper must be handled through our team. Direct outreach by the carrier—particularly on a sensitive and high-priority shipment—constitutes a serious breach of professional standards and industry protocol.
Even more concerning, the driver attempted to change the confirmed loading appointment to February 5 at 4:00 PM without prior approval, disregarding the scheduled appointment set for February 6 at 9:00 AM. The driver then arrived at the shipper’s facility without authorization, creating further confusion onsite.
When questioned, he claimed not to understand English, yet had no difficulty contacting the shipper in advance to request an appointment change. This conduct is highly unprofessional and reflects a clear failure in driver qualification, communication control, and operational oversight.
Marcus Cummins (Group Sales Manager) stated " There has been no substantiated proof demonstrating that any business was lost as a direct result of the driver’s actions. The driver did not violate any agreements in place with us or with your organization. As previously stated, our driver did not break any documented protocols or cause any delays is your shipment. Therefore, we have no cause for pursuing a claim with the carrier." he driver made unauthorized direct contact with the shipper in an attempt to modify the scheduled loading appointment without prior approval. The situation further escalated when the driver arrived at the shipper’s facility on an incorrect date, without any confirmed or authorized change to the appointment, resulting in confusion and operational disruption".
Despite these events, Marcus Cummins maintains that no issues occurred and that no business relationship was impacted.
This position is difficult to reconcile with the circumstances.
This experience reflects a concerning lack of professionalism, accountability, and operational oversight.
We strongly advise exercising caution when considering engaging TQL for similar services.
Avoid QTL at all cost!!
Hands down one of the worst
Hands down one of the worst. They exploit new MC truckers with long hauls and laughable pay. Anyone who takes these garbage loads is only hurting the rest of us. The trucking industry deserves better.
Horrible people and horrible place to…
Horrible people and horrible place to work at. Don't give them your business.
They no pay late over you have to fill…
They no pay late over you have to fill up a form easy thing to make it complicated and no pay
Just got a load offer from TQL that is…
Just got a load offer from TQL that is honestly insulting to anyone who drives for a living. They wanted 9 pickups across NC, TN, and SC 866 miles total and they’re only offering $1,100.
But it’s not even just the driving. Read the fine print they expect the driver to be a manual laborer. They want you to bring your own pallet jack, get out of the truck at every single stop, sort through "ZZ" pallets versus standard ones, stack them yourself, and load them. Basically, you’re doing the warehouse's job and the driver's job for less than $1.30 a mile.
This is a 3-day run with all those stops. After fuel and the wear and tear of 9 docks, you’re literally paying them to work. TQL is looking for a lumper with a CDL, not a carrier. Don't waste your time or your fuel on this. They want "professionalism" and "math skills" but they don't have the math skills to realize a truck can’t run on these poverty rates. Avoid.
Worst brokerage
Waste of time. Low rates, unprofessional.
Too many Liar work for this company.
Too many Liar work for this company.
I am writing to formally express my frustration regarding recent experiences with TQL.
It has been my observation that loads are frequently cancelled after being booked once a lower-rate carrier is found, regardless of our strong performance history. Furthermore, there is no compensation provided for trucks that have already been booked and subsequently cancelled.
Additionally, I have found the compliance team to be unhelpful, and my account was recently blocked without a clear or valid reason. I would like to request a formal review of these practices and an explanation regarding the status of my account.
Wish I Never Worked With Them
If you work with this company they will never stop calling and emailing you for no matter how many times you ask them to stop. I have been asking them to stop contacting me for the past 3 years and yet new sales people continue to call and email a few times every month.
Less than a one star
Less than a one star. TQL are a predatory broker. Hints the law suit they have going on. Called today and Terrence answered the phone. Had no idea about the load. When asked who did know, he got an attitude and hung up. Their rates are garbage and so it their so-called service.
Great experience!
I contacted TQL for assistance with a specialized load that needed to be transported from WA to FL and back for a trade show. This was my first time doing this, and I had a lot of questions & concerns.
Adric Garnett was a pleasure to work with - he listened to my concerns and requirements and came up with solutions and suggestions on how to make this happen.
Our load was collected in good time, delivered on time, and then collected at the required time.
Adric updated me each day regarding the location of the truck. He was my sole point of contact, and was reachable whenever I had questions.
I wouldn't hesitate to contact Adric again for future freight haulage needs.
