Ridge tile repair
Found me a good roofer to carry out my minor repair at a very reasonable price. But also referred my minor work to larger firms who were totally inappropriate for the minor works required hence only a 3 star rating.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for your honest feedback. We’re glad to hear you ultimately found a good roofer who could take on the smaller repair at a reasonable price. We also appreciate your comments about some of the other referrals not being suitable for the scale of the job, and we’ll take that feedback on board.

Do not use this site
Do not use this site. They clearly do not vet their tradespeople properly. We had a job done recently, by people who will remain nameless for legal reasons, and not only did they not do the job they were hired for, they required us to contact the police. Make of that what you will. They also removed themselves from the trustatrader.com site before we could leave a review, deliberately, in my opinion. There is therefore no way to warn people in future. I assume they set up a new “company” listing for each job, so as to get around having any bad reviews. My problem with the site therefore is that you cannot tell whether the tradesmen you are getting can be trusted or not, so the name is not only incorrect it is horribly misleading. Needless to say I won’t be using this site to find tradesmen again, and I will be advising everyone I know to avoid it too.

Hello Adam,
We tried to contact you by telephone to discuss your individual case, as we understand that you have not approached us directly with a complaint. We can see that you submitted consumer requests to several traders, all of whom are active members of TrustATrader. We can also see that you subsequently left a five-star review, and we are pleased to hear that you found a trader you were happy with.
We operate a strict vetting process, and each year hundreds of traders do not meet our vetting requirements and are therefore not accepted onto the platform. All company details are thoroughly checked. If a company is removed from our website, it is not permitted to rejoin under either the same company name or another company name. The company name used by a trader on TrustATrader remains consistent throughout their membership.
As part of their membership, all traders are required to comply with our Terms and Conditions. If we receive a complaint from a consumer regarding a trader’s workmanship or conduct, the trader is required to cooperate with us to resolve the matter through our mediation process. Failure to cooperate may result in the termination of their membership.
If we receive evidence of a consumer having had a poor experience, we will review the matter and take appropriate action, which could include removing the trader from the platform.
Similarly, if a trader receives an excessive number of negative reviews or otherwise fails to maintain the standards required by TrustATrader, their membership may be reviewed and, ultimately, terminated.
If you would like us to investigate your concerns further, please contact us at Complaints@trustatrader.com with details of your complaint. We will then be able to review the matter and consider any appropriate action.
Kind regards,
The TrustATrader Team
A Builder of High Competence and Professionalism
We have employed builder Neil Marshall of West Looe, Cornwall a number of times to undertake work in our house. From plastering and painting to a new porch balcony and kitchen roof, these jobs have always been of a high standard. Along with his colleague, Neil works dilligently throughout the task providing a high level of professionalism and competence. To some extent we don't want to write this review, because it may mean he is less available for our next job, but it is important to reassure others that good, decent workmen are out there.
Marie and Philip Hill.

AGN Plumbing Gas Services via Trust A Trader
AGN Plumbing Gas Services which I found on Trust A Trader did a brilliant Job in selecting the best boiler for my home and installing it. Tony worked hard each day and fixed all the issues that needed attention to ensure the boiler worked optimally. Tony deeply cares about Customer satisfaction. He took photos of the issues that needed sorting and sorted it. I found Tony to be totally trustworthy, hardworking, explained everything that needed to be done, and patiently took time to think through everything to first so as to do the best job according to my home set up.
I highly reccomend AGN Plumbing and Tony and also Trust a Trader for doing what it claims to do - helping a potential Customer to find a trustworthy Trader.

I was looking for a painter and…
I was looking for a painter and decorator, to paint 2 rooms while I was away so they had no interference from us and our dog. Found a local chap that had a lot of good reviews. He came when he said he would to give a quote and the time frame I was looking at fitted in with his work load, he came collected the key when he said he would, sent pictures to show how job was going, we arrived home from holiday to find a great job done so no stress to us. Returned the key when he said he would and we paid him up at this time. Thank you Trustatrader for having great reputable people on your site.
