Worst customer service I have EVER experienced in my life. I took off work for delivery, and was notified the evening before that my delivery would need to be rescheduled, after the delivery was rescheduled I was told a "new" delivery window. That time had come and gone, I asked the customer service rep about this and was told it was loaded and they would be there soon. Shortly after I received a call from the installer stating they were 3 hours out. I then asked if delivery could be made without my presence and they said yes, I marked the area and told the customer service rep about this, to my surprise when I got home, NO shed delivery was made. Now, two days later I still have not received any communication from them. I am in the process of contacting Home Depot to cancel my order with this joke of a company.

They should change the name to Tuff Shoot because after they get your money well..
In my 60 plus years I have not gotten worse service ever and that says a lot.
The company must actively discourage communication with the customer.
The shed was scheduled to be delivered in 5 weeks, after 5 weeks and multiple attempts to contact anyone, I went back to the Home Depot thru which I made contact originally with TS and they began the process of putting me in touch with the regional agent. who contacted Chicago, who arranged for me to speak with another person in Colorado and back to the first gentleman finally the date for delivery was moved back 3 more weeks.

At the end of the time I received a call from a TS rep and told me that the next Monday the shed would be built since that was July 5th. I had my doubts, and sure enough the next morning I had a call from a young lady saying that the crew would be there in a half hour. Whoo Hoo.
the crew met with me and I asked them if they had everything. Yes , and they were to put the second coat of paint on to make up for the 3 extra weeks? well OK. and they had the vent screens to keep the mice out from the flooring? no.

After several hours of work they let me know that they had a problem that the metal roof to side wall trim was the wrong size and that they would need to return to finish the job.

So Three weeks later I was able to get in touch with a TS rep and they sent out a crew to finish the job. The trim they installed was the wrong color but it fit so now I have a circus tent looking shed.

I am supposed to sign off on a form stating that I am the owner of a shed for warranty purposes. however the form I am to sign states that I have a loft which I don't and I can't get the TS folks to change the form which they keep sending.

So to sum up if you have nothing better to do with your time or money and don't care about the final product then TS might be the ultimate experience.

Good Luck but seriously stay away from these folks.

What a joke, both my daughter and I went to tuff shed and what a nightmare. Starting with the permits. Got worse from there. We both have sheds that we can't use due to the waiting for someone to come out for the 3rd time to fix all the screw ups. This has been since June. My grandsons could have done a better job. Now lets talk about service there is none. The only service we got is we were having to pay for the shed before they even built it. I have had to hire an outside source to fix the shed so that I can use it. The shed is a 16X30, so yes I spent good money. My daughter her shed if that's what you want to call it, is a good size shed also, and has to come down and needs to be re-done. There is so many issues, don't know if the builders drink while they build. I have nothing good to say about tuff shed and would not have them build me nothing again. All I can say a nightmare!!!!! WISH I WENT SOMEWHERE DIFFERENT. THEY ARE NOT THE ONLY SHED COMPANY. tuff shed doesn't deserve the one star

Beautiful and well-built shed —- even matches my house colors. Gave at the Jacksonville office was easy to work with and very responsive. Would definitely recommend!

I can't seem to get the shed finished. I was scheduled twice to finish the install and got stood up both times. Very disappointed with the service.

My original installation date was set for June 21. After 4 no-shows, my tuff shed was finally installed. Out of the 4 no-shows, only once was I actually notified they were not coming that day to install. My shed was finally installed July 7. The shelf I ordered was not installed because the installer stated it was not sent with him to be installed. Also, the paint on the front door was splotchy. I have called to have the door painted and my shelf installed. This also has been scheduled 4 times and still NO SHOWS every single time. No phone calls, no re-schedules. NOTHING. I have to call every single time to schedule and they continue to no show. There is no common courtesy, no customer service. We have to pay for the item up front, but they cannot get the job done. I ordered April 9. It is July 28 and still cannot use my shed. Highly disappointed

My issues with Tuff shed are not about the shed. My issues are about the customer service. The job did not get finished on day of install due to bad weather( which we totally understood) and we were told we would get a call the next day to reschedule. I waited a week, and then I had to track down someone to reschedule this myself. The sales rep that we used was NO help at all. He never returned our phone calls or texts. As I sit here typing this we were scheduled to have the second paint job done today. I received no phone call of a time frame the day before like we were supposed to. Once again I had to track someone down to find out what time they were coming.I started with the sales rep and left him a message two hours ago. Still nothing. I will never use this company again and I will not recommend them to anybody. I will actually go out of my way to tell people not to use this company.

Diane Graf made our initial visit to Tuff Shed in Escondido very pleasant. She walked us through the tuff sheds in yard and explained the different measurements and features about each one. We then went into the office and started configuring a shed. We still need to make a few more decisions about the location on property and specific timeframe. Excellent visit and experience.

They can't seem to finish the job. It's been over a month and it's still not done. They come out work a couple of hours then leave.

Rick was very clear and knowledgeable about the whole process, which went remarkably smooth. This was a harder build for the team at Tuff Shed because we are actually located on Peaks Island, a couple miles off the coast of Portland. There were many companies that wouldn’t even consider our job when I contacted them. The project was slated to take one day, but due to an unexpected heatwave, Wes and Kevin had to return a second day to finish. They were great and came back the next day despite having to contend with the ferry schedule again. The shed is perfect and we are so looking forward to storing the secondhand books of my home occupation in it for years to come!

My wife and I went in the Clarksville Tn Tuff shed office and the guy seemed to be completely lost doing are bid. After we finally got done they said we didn’t have to do anything that the contractor would handle everything and they would be out in 3 to 4 weeks. After talking to the office personnel for 3 days now. They are saying they will be out in 4 weeks which now that’s 9 weeks. Also the Christina is saying that we are supposed to clear the area and put gravel down which isn’t done and not getting done due to a surgery I just had.If you want to get a shed and never know when it’s going to be built, this is the right place to buy it.

My sales person told me there would be 50/40/10 draw on payment. 50% up front 40% when they start building it in their shop and 10% after installation. I paid 50 % but then a week before install they took the other 50% leaving me no leverage if they screwed up the install. I called up and gave them a piece of my mind and they refunded 10% until install. BEWARE AFTER YOU PAY YOUR 50% LOCK YOUR CARD SO THEY CAN'T GET INTO IT AGAIN!!!.
The day of install they called and cancelled stating a family emergency. Then they told me I would have to wait another 3 weeks!!! They cancelled not me but I felt like I was being punished. 1 person has an emergency and I guess the whole company shuts down!!!
I finally get to my 2nd install date and they make it here. The 2 guys bring in the pieces off the trailer and there is damage to one of the panels and they act like it is no big deal. I fixed it myself with bondo. The one who hung the door broke off 4 of the 9 screws that hold the door to the hinge and he just left the heads of the screws in the wood. I discovered that when I painted the shed. I toke off 1 side of each hinge to paint behind them. The one who did the shingles did not use a straight edge when he cut off the excess shingles just free hand and it looks like it. Did not notice it till later.
All in all I wish I had kept a constant eye on the install team.
The name of the company apparently changes to Tuff S**t after they get your money because they don't seem to give a ****.

My shed was built by the Cleveland, Ohio factory, which did a fabulous job and even delivered earlier than expected. My salesperson Kathryn Casto, did a fantastic job with the design of my shed, and kept in touch with me to update me on the status of my shed. Customer service at its best... I needed some adjustments made to my doors and trim, I called Kathryn and she immediately made arrangements for someone to come out and do the repairs. The person she sent out Jeff Edmonds, was on time and again did a fabulous job on the repairs.

I had a great experience dealing with the local representative TJ. He was knowledgeable and helpful through every aspect of the process. I would recommend Tuff Sheds to everyone.

We had a Tuff Shed installed in April 2021. Larry and the sales team were great. The installers were very knowledgeable . We are enjoying the extra space.

My brother was a mid-size general contractor who sold and erecting pole barns and other buildings as a side line. I was looking to replace my 10x12 shed with a well constructed 12x20 shed and he highly recommended Tuffshed. With all the options the price was roughly $14,000. I put 50% down in early September 2020. I was told that delivery would be early January 2021. I expected the engineering drawing required for building permit would arrive in early December or earlier. As a former licensed professional engineer who used to do the drawings for my brother i knew these were pretty much cookie cutter just like the shed. I received the March 2021 and submitted them to the county permit dept. Know through this whole process once you give them the down payment deposit they do not answer the phone, respond to emails, or return voicemail calls. So I got the engineering drawings, submitted them to the county and had them approved. After numerous calls and emails I was told 4 weeks after the permit was approved the building would be onsite. Email was sent to the two (only two) schedulers but after numerous calls finally spoke to Stephanie who stated the permit was never received but mail it again and they would schedule it for June 1st. I tore down the old shed last Dec. and my yard is a mess and my equipment in the yard is in ever worse shape. Next step is to see if I can get my money back from the CC company and cancel the whole thing.

The shed is great. The experience was horrible. It has been almost a month since my shed was originally supposed to be installed.
The first time it was supposed to be installed no one showed or called. I had to call them to find out the builders weren’t going to make it. The builders couldn’t be rescheduled for more than a week.
The second time, the builders showed up and built the shed. They did a great job, but forgot the shingles for the roof. Again I had to call and schedule to get the shingles installed. Again it took more than a week.
I ended up missing 3 days of work to get my shed built. Time is money. I’m not sure Tuff Shed cares about the customer once they have most of the money. The experience was so bad I could not recommend Tuff shed.

We received our Tuff Shed last week from the Louisville, Kentucky office, and we are so happy with it. The materials are top quality. The sturdiness of this shed is excellent. The installation team was very professional. They were able to answer any questions we had. When job was complete everything was cleaned up in that area. I would highly recommend anyone that wants a shed that they choose Tuff Shed.

Buyer beware!!!! After the sale, you will be subject to a General Manager (Mobile) who is insulting, arrogant, condescending, locked into a rigid production mentality and will call the customer “unreasonable” if the customer expects TUFF SHED will deliver and install on the agreed upon date or built of the material specified in the contract. Twice I had delivery delays due to production errors, and twice I gave accommodations for their errors. When I asked Tuff Shed to go out of there way to correct their two mistakes I was told they would not have their production employees work overtime because of the two mistakes they had made. There is zero quality control at the pre-fabrication production facility (Mobile, Alabama) where the Assistant Manager blames employee incompetence and new employees for not adhering to contract specifications. My sales representative was the only 5-stars in the entire interaction with Tuff Shed. I cancelled my contract and will take my business and my money elsewhere. Good luck if you choose to deal with a company that treats its customers after the sale like you owe TUFF SHED your business and will blindly agree to whatever TUFF SHED dictates.

TOUGH SHED REVIEW January 25, 2021
My current age is 75 and I have built many sheds and additions in my years. I am NOT a licensed builder but all the sheds and additions I have built have always passed a home building inspection. I would say if you are someone with no carpenter skills then higher a handyman to build you a shed. I am also a disabled combat Veteran who a few years ago had a very big hand surgery and has lost use of his right hand now so I can't build sheds anymore. I needed a new shed and I went with Tough Shed. Never again would I let them build me even an outhouse on my property. According to my Township inspector these are made to just pass inspections and I mean barely. What a joke this was, they started the assembly and found out the doors were 2 different sizes and the overhangs were not made for this 12x16 foot shed. They were made for a 10 foot shed. So back to the factory and wait for new ones to be made. When it came time to do the roof and shingles it is required to leave a 1/8 gap between the sheets of cheap 7/16 OSB they put on the roof and of course don't butt the sheets up at the peak especially in the cold winter. The use of plywood “H” clips is highly recommended to support extra weight on the roof. Of course why listen to the old man, so all the sheets are butted up tight now and no plywood clips were used, they cost 20 cents each and I needed 14 of them and when hot weather arrives the sheets will expand. I don't know how much they will expand but they will. When they nailed down the shingles the nails MUST break thru the roofing material by at least 1/4 inch this is stated in their brochure. Some nails do and most don't. This is a possible failure of the shingle when a strong wind comes and blows some off the roof. My inspector told me that they meet the very bare minimum requirements for nailing and taking them to court could turn into a long battle. Also the T1-11 siding is of a thin quality, bare minimum again and when they shoot the nails in with the air nail guns they go into the siding too deep and it looks terrible even after the paint is applied. They had a few loose sheets of siding and they shot more nails then needed into the wood. It looks like someone was shooting a machine gun of nails in a few spots for the Heck of it. When spring comes I will take a good 40 year caulk and fill all them nail holes in flush to the paneling. If I didn't do that then the water would get into the deep holes and start rotting that thin cheap wood, so caulk and paint again. Truth is from me I always took pride in what I built for myself and friends. When nailing the sheeting onto the walls I always used a hammer and nail set for a nice finish but for them time is money and a nail gun does the job if only the air pressure is set properly. I learned that before installing the siding I prefer that the back side be painted 1 foot up 2 coats and the lower edge especially to avoid rotting of the wood. I know it would be hard (sic) for tough shed to do that but it has sure kept my home built shed and my customers sheds in Northern Michigan from rotting when it is so close to the ground for the past 20 years.
Summing it all up I am sorry I had Tuff Shed do the job but it was August when I ordered this shed and it was not until January that it got built. I could not find a contractor to build me this shed; everyone was so busy because of the Covid 19 and shortage of wood. Take my advice if you use Tuff Shed you do need a permit and you will get a shed but it will meet code by bare minimum, believe me I do know what I am talking about. Possibly for a few dollars less or more you can get a quality shed built by a real carpenter. These sheds are mass produced. Dated January 25 2021 and finally had a final inspection and thanks to the inspector for being so honest with me about something I already knew. Tough Shed is mass produced and barely meets inspections.
