Awesome program but it tried to push bing on me so 1 star. Remember to click decline when you see it during install, bing is like a bad virus that is really hard to get rid of.

I've been using uTorrent for nearly 13 years. Basically, it was a part of my introduction to the online world. I used it daily ever since. I noticed how it slightly got worse over the years - more ads appeared, etc, but I didn't care.

But today I have finished my last download and deleted this thrash called uTorrent Web. Everything had been said before me here. I just must add that it just doesn't look like a torrent client. It's just visual garbage, and there's nothing to be loyal to anymore.

It allows you to "play your torrents" directly in the browser and displays a huge online player which takes 95% of your screen. So you have to scroll down to get the access to the actual list of your torrents. No one in their right mind will watch their downloads in the Google Chrome tab (yeah, uTorrent web exists only as a Google chrome tab, that's an additional spoon of feces). But still this stupid player is ALWAYS there and you can't get rid of it.

Separate gratitude goes to "Trending videos" section on the right, which you can hide, but it always appears again. Terrible and useless spamming.

Welp, after 10+ years of using uTorrent, I have officially deleted it. I HATE the web version. It is SO SLOW and and garbage compared to the old version. I honestly can't stand using it (and I've really tried to like it). Looks like they will be losing a lot of customers. BYE

Utter crap. I have just updated from the standalone version, which was easy to use, now they have transferred to a web version which is absolute rubbish. The interface is awful. It's complicated and slow. I tried to download a magnet link, but I couldn't open it with the web version of uTorrent. I just got fed up with the headache and went and downloaded QBitTorrent, which is a standalone version and so simple to use. Goodbye uTorrent!

Utorrent web is worst thing ever. It is too slow to download and won’t let you update. Bring back the old version which wS so much better than this c**p

uTorrent web is slow, and it works through the browser.
Download speed looks decreased, the interface is awful.
I loved the normal version, I HATE the new one.
Going to uninstall it until something changes.

I have been using uTorrent since probably 2007. Today I deleted the client, as it it absolute s**t. Worst idea ever!!

I HATE the new Web interface. HATE it.

And I really loved µTorrent the way it was before. The 4 stars rating is for the previous version. I'd give -1000 for the new one. Not even a person who simply doesn't like change, I'm always one of the first to switch to new available versions of my apps. I just think that this change, in particular, is the worst decision someone has ever made in the entire world history.

Can't find words strong enough to describe how bad is it. Really.

total garbage - go back to the pre-web app

The web version is just really really bad. U torrent is known for being a light client, but the desktop version had most of the features you would actually need. The web version is missing even the most basic features (like a sort that works or the ability to have your complete and incomplete downloads in one place). Not to mention when 'upgrading' it removed all of my in progress torrents without warning. It feels like a beta but it's been around for over a year I believe.

New update to web is really bad, i wish they had giving us a choice to go back to previous version.
Likely there are few more out there.
qBittorent seems a good alternative.

uTorrent is dead for me after the update to web...After more than 10 years of using it i just cant change to the web now.If anyone has a recommendation for an alternative please let me know as utorrent is no more :(

I use to love using utorrent, it was so easy to use. But since the update its horrible and hard to use!
Not sure why they changed.... There has to be something better out there. Anyone have a recommendation?

It was a great, till got updated to web!

This software was great.. Till the bitcoin mining crap came out. Now uTorrent uses YOUR system to bitcoin mine. I discovered this by packet sniffers, and traffic logging, along with resources monitors. Once I uninstalled utorrrent, guess what..... IT STOPPED..

My friend has the premium PAID version, and his too was eating system resources. We couldn't figure out why our new graphics cards were getting hot at idle... Then we uncovered this. Once we uninstalled uTorrent, the system went back to the way it SHOULD BE.... IDLING!

FORGET uTorrent, get something better, these people are crooks!

Installs software like Web Companion and i did not get the option to untick a box that i want that software.

I am surprised for those that write positive reviews for this piece of crap for a software. The only explanation is that they must be getting something in return. I lost 80+ torrents twice and when I contacted them not only they DID NOT respond to me but they BANNED me from their forums and blogs! It's regrettable that I cannot give 0 stars to this trash. I can only warn people NOT to use it!

I paid for pro format PC and try to reinstall it but won't let me message saying that it's been installed on too many computer but I only have one and I never share my key try to to email customer service and they never contact me and try many times don't pay for pro really not worth it stay with the Free one
