A truly awful experience trying to selling a house through Venmores estate agents.The communication from their staff has been near non existent and after many misleading and confusing information they’ve shared, I have no confidence in what they say they are going to do. No follow through and lack of integrity!

Would not recommend using this estate agent.

We instructed Venmores after having a disappointing experience with a local estate agent. From the first meeting the local marketing specialist was enthusiastic and attentive. He contacted us regularly to offer updates and check if we needed anything. When a prospective viewer did not show he was swift to contact them and find out why. The communication has been excellent. Highly recommended

Fantastic service all around! Vicky from after sales is amazing and saved the sale many times! I would not hesitate to use Venmores and Vicky to manage my own properties! Give this woman a pay rise!

Don’t use this estate agent - costing me thousands to put right the damage Ade authorised, misleading information and lies from day one, high turn over of staff, directors leave every week, emails are not private…

I put my house on the market with Venmores in Allerton Road who claimed they found a buyer within days of putting it on the market. I was led to believe there was no chain and that the buyer had sufficient funds to buy my house. After a stressful six months and four completion date promises, the sale fell through with no valid explanation why. To make matters worse, the solicitors recommended by Venmores (MSB) were just as unprofessional. The lack of communication and support left me sick due to stress and now I have to start again.

Venmores on Allerton Road are amazing! The best estate agents in the world! 100% better than Move residential estate agents on Allerton Road! And Entwistle Green! And much better than abode! Tom is extremely amazing and professional and Will is too! And Colin is amazing too!also Sue is fantastic the best estate agents in the world! Also Pippa is fantastic too! And Caitlin is amazing too!

Terrible experience with tvg lettings wirral. So unprofessional and not to be trusted. I'd stay clear from these charlatans.

I used TVG Lettings (part of the Venmore group) to attempt to view a property I was really keen on. I had just missed an initial group viewing, so I was advised to leave my number for a callback the next day should any cancellations occur.

Several cancellations did occur, however, I never received a callback as promised. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called again several days later, only to be told there was a second viewing which I wasn't allowed to participate in.

No further attempt or offer was made to fit me in (even though I was one of the first people to show interest), no further details were taken from me should the property still be available in the future... I really got the impression the agent was being highly selective of who could view the property (perhaps this was somehow at the landlords discretion?) If not, I feel really sorry for the landlord, as I probably won't be the only person to walk away from any further attempts to secure a viewing.

For any landlord considering which letting agent to use, communication is key, and Venmore (or TVG lettings associated with them) will not help your prospective tenants get a key in the door... they won't even get a viewing!

I am a Housing Operations Manager who back in 2016 rented a property that was low value due to going through a breakup.

During the winter, the boiler went down and despite reporting it online via the management companies reporting tool and making several phone calls, it took 4 weeks for someone to actually come to the property and provide a fix for the fault (It went down again 2 days later and nobody came for another 3 week!) I ended up buying my own temporary heaters and took it out of my monthly rent charge myself as I didn't trust them to give me the money back despite agreeing to, they even then had the nerve to chase me and tell me to pay it first.

I then had issues with rats despite keeping my house and immediate areas around the property clear of any attractions to infestation and again despite reporting this, nobody came to fill the holes in the walls or vulnerable areas of the rented house which meant rats would get inside, they chewed up my washing machine water inlet, clothes, food containers... it was disgusting and there was just no willingness to help at all.

After this I left the house as I couldn't take it anymore, I was left in inhumane conditions that were not safe for human habitation but Venmores didn't want to know about. I received numerous e-mails and phone calls chasing up 3 months of rent that was still outstanding, but I refused to pay as they as a business had breached the occupancy agreement and they threatened me endlessly with court action which I would have been delighted with if they followed through but low and behold they finally realised how disgusting their approach to me was.

I would advise anyone who is looking to rent a property that you should look at other businesses who provide good customer service in a timely manner, as when the going gets tough you need to be able to rely on management companies to respond and provide fixes for faults that are their responsibility.

Couldn't have asked for more! I recently sold my apartment for full asking price. I met with Colin who was really knowledgeable and took great photos. The sales team were all friendly and booked plenty of viewings. As I'm a first time seller, I found Holly from their sales progression team so helpful when dealing with the solicitors to get my sale through quickly. I really can't recommend them enough! Really poor communication.

Property went up on bank holiday Monday, send them email straight away and property disappeared as ‘no longer on market’

It then reappears. I send another email, as well as call, however get no answer

Comes to next day and still no response to email. Call them and manage to get a viewing.

Call them immediately after viewing whilst offices still open, no answer so leave voicemail. Still no call back next morning. By this point, property has had offer

Awful awful communication.

I’ve had such a bad experience with Venmore that even if I saw the perfect house I wouldn’t even consider it if it was sold by them. They arranged viewings on Good Friday knowing they weren’t going to be open to take offers, had us running round like headless chickens the next day getting all the documents for our offer and only afterwards informed us that the vendors wouldn’t be making a decision until after the Easter bank holiday, meaning we’d be waiting four days. Then when the four days had gone we had to phone them to find out the vendors still hadn’t made a decision and we were made to jump through hoops giving our ‘best and final offer’ in writing and had to wait another day just to find out somebody had offered more and got the house. I’m disgusted at the way we were strung along for 5 days when they could’ve just told us somebody had offered more and left it at that instead of trying to get more money out of us and wasting 5 days of our time. I’d just like to add that we had already offered significantly more than the asking price. By the time they had messed us around that much any initial excitement we’d had about the house was completely gone and even if we’d got the house the whole experience would’ve been soured.

Absolutely horrendous service over a three year tenancy. I spent three years without heating in the main bedroom despite having reported it on three separate occasions.
They then transferred my tenancy to purple bricks- without notifying me!!
I am now having to chase my own deposit release( 6 weeks after vacating) due to their incompetence.

Do not rent from Venmore.

Either incompetent or just plain lazy, whichever it is the result is the same, if you are planning to use venmores when selling your property, don't!!!!

DONT TOUCH. Trying to do anything with this lot is hellish. Booked an appointment and had to wait 3 weeks for a viewing. They didnt turn up and no communcation why or warning that they had a problem and simply said sorry without explanation. Trying to talk on their phone system is murder. Avoid at all costs there are far better in Liverpool. Those who actully want to sell or rent. I am getting in touch with the landlord to let them know that I couldnt get an appointment. For them a whole months rent lost. Disgraceful

If I could leave 0 I would. The worst property management company I have ever come across. It’s hard to know where to even start with their catalogue of errors! Firstly they are practically unresponsive. They forgot to advertise my apartment for let for over 5 weeks and then asked if they could discount it as it wasn’t letting! Then when they finally got a tenant he clearly wasn’t vetted and was breaking the law in my property to which they did nothing even though I asked them to spot check him after numerous complaints from residents. He of course did a runner and stole furniture when he left! THEY LOST THE MASTER SET OF KEYS!!!!! They didn’t retrieve any keys from the last tenant either! They then lied through their teeth about having done viewings, which would have been impossible without any keys to open the door! I have never experienced such bad customer service I don’t understand how they are allowed to still be trading. They should be struck off.

Utterly shocking company. I am a landlord who has given venmores 3 student houses to rent. In 2 months, I've had no feedback and I have called the office several times over the past 3 weeks (twice today alone) and am always told the manager is on the phone and will call me back. No call is ever received. Tomorrow morning, I am removing all 3 houses from them and they can lose a potential £6,000 management fee from me. Do not use this company. Utterly dreadful

The Southport branch of this outfit is staffed by the most dreadful people imaginable. Strangers to the truth.
