Lovely meal
Staff very friendly.Highly recomend

I have to say, this was the best dining experience I have ever had. The staff were exceptional, the food was outstanding, and the entire experience felt genuinely special from start to finish.
Customer experience is clearly at the heart of everything this restaurant does, and that’s something you don’t come across often enough these days. They simply “get it”, and that deserves recognition.
When I booked the table, I mentioned my wife’s wheat intolerance, and I was genuinely astonished to find a gluten-free menu already waiting on the table when we were seated. Our waitress also took the time to confirm her dietary requirements during our conversation, which made us feel both welcomed and reassured.
The food itself was faultless. We had the lobster platter with dressed crab, and the restaurant was more than happy to substitute a few seafood items we weren’t keen on. It was, without question, the best seafood platter I’ve ever had — and that includes meals at restaurants owned by celebrity chefs we regularly see on TV! A huge thank you to the chefs for such an incredible meal.
The wine waiter also deserves special mention, as his white wine recommendation was absolutely spot on and complemented the meal perfectly.
All in all, this was a flawless dining experience and one I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone reading this review. We were only visiting the area on holiday and live around three hours away, so it may be some time before we return — but I will absolutely be back the next time we’re nearby.

A load of frozen rubbish, not fresh no taste

North Norfolk Restaurant Week is a great opportunity to try different places. This one was spot on. Staff were so friendly. They had so many gluten free options. Highly recommended.

Amazing fresh sea food, accompanied by friendly accommodating staff who trained me on how to get to the meat on a lobster.

look at the owners response on trip advisor when we were told no room and to put on a mask when we hadn't even properly entered the restaurant -would have appreciated a simply sorry for the tone of the reception staff-she could have said "sorry we have no room today and goodbye" but it sounded more like "we have no room now put on your mask and get out"-anyway see the owner Dougal's response below:

I can assure you none of my staff are rude and if you read our reviews since opening they only say how friendly we are.
We cannot help being full for the next month, only proud and just expecting to walk into a table in Wells whilst we are all at half capacity is surprising. We have a large sign outside saying we are Fully Booked and can only repeat that, guests who have booked did so many month's ago and our cancellation lists are large each day.
I am shocked by the fact that you were asked to have your mask on annoyed you, we wear them all day and cope, you walked past the sign saying as per government regulations like all premises and we have only had other a year to get used to wearing a mask in supermarkets, shops, restaurants and public transport.
We love Wells and what we have created and love our regulars who return yet again and again and just because you couldn't get a table at the click of your fingers is rather petty to say you will not recommend us when you can't recommend something you have not had the full experience, but we are pleased you won't try for a table with that attitude.'

We had ‘The Big One’ platter as a takeaway.
We had to give 24hours notice but it was an efficient order service with friendly staff on pick up. It was all very well packaged and although it stated it would feed 2-4, we managed to feed 2 adults and 3 hungry young boys easily!
Lovely! I was concerned that £60 was a little pricey but to be honest it was really lovely food and plenty of it. We will use again!

Fantastic seafood restaurant(and other dishes)in Wells - next - the - Sea. Great fish, seafood, shellfish and other dishes. Excellent wine list.
The staff is fantastic, friendly and helpful.
I can highly recommend.
