Good service
White horse provide a great product and overall good service. The delivery time was short and the waggon arrived in the allotted time slot. There were a couple of damaged bags and they credited my account with the cost of the items. I’d have preferred an offer of re-delivery of the items or a refund but neither were offered. I would still recommend them to others as the product and timeliness of response from them is very good.

The pallet was weak and broken making…
The pallet was weak and broken making unloading difficult. My husband had to try and repair it so the pellets weren’t on the ground, not easy! 975 kgs. The bags of pellets were stacked badly causing the weight not to be evenly distributed. This will have contributed to the pallet breaking. One bag of split pellets which my husband has repaired with gaffa tape.

We can appreciate how difficult it must have been to deal with a broken pallet carrying nearly a tonne of pellets. Your husband shouldn't have had to repair the pallet just to prevent the bags from ending up on the ground, and we understand how challenging and frustrating that must have been.
We're also sorry to hear that the bags appeared to be unevenly stacked, which may well have contributed to the pallet failing, and that one of the bags had split and needed to be taped up. This is not the standard we expect our customers to receive.

Really great service
Really great service, order processed and delivered quickly and as promised. Delivery company rang to arrange delivery, driver called 30 minutes prior to drop off. Driver arrived and asked where we wanted pallet to be left. Many thanks.

I ordered a ton of the best wood pellets as litter for my cattery .
One pallet was ‘lost’ .. I was promised the second pallet would be sent 24hr delivery .. it was sent 48 hr so I had longer to wait.
What should have been 5 days ended up being almost 2 weeks delivery .. not good enough!

We can appreciate how worrying it must have been when one of your pallets was lost, especially as the pellets are used as litter for your cattery and aren't just a general stock item that you can easily do without. After already experiencing that setback, being told the replacement would arrive within 24 hours and then having to wait even longer understandably added to your disappointment.
Waiting almost two weeks for an order that should have taken just a few days is simply not the level of service we aim to provide, and we're genuinely sorry for the inconvenience and uncertainty this caused.

Excellent Value for Money
The communication was excellent and the delivery was within the time frame specified after a few tweaks.
Also the logs were well packed with 90% cut to a perfect size.

To be honest I don’t even want to give…
To be honest I don’t even want to give 1 star. I took the day off for this delivery as the time slot was 7am to 1700.
There was zero conversation during the day, when it didn’t arrive by 1700, I left it for 20 mins thinking it could be traffic.
I then rang white horse who checked with delivery company and said it would be there by 1800. It did not arrive. There was no contact what so ever. Obviously dinner was on hold. After 2000 the driver arrived, he was apologetic, not his thought, when apparently the haulage company put jobs in front of mine that was a late booking, where mine had been booked for a few weeks. I had a leg problem and couldn’t walk. I had a neighbour who was ready during the day to help, I called him and he kindly came to help..
He finished unloading at 2130.
This was a disgusting service, would have been different if they actually communicated and let you know what was going on.

Being told it would arrive by 6pm, then having to wait until after 8pm without any further updates, is not the level of service we expect our customers to receive.
We're especially sorry to hear that you were dealing with a leg injury at the time and had to rely on the kindness of your neighbour to help unload the delivery so late in the evening. That must have added unnecessary stress to an already difficult day.
While we're grateful that the driver was apologetic, we recognise that this doesn't make up for the inconvenience caused or the lack of communication from the haulage company. Clear updates throughout the day would have allowed you to plan accordingly, and we regret that this didn't happen.
We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Your feedback has been shared internally and with the delivery partner, as this is not the standard of service we aim to provide.
