Reflecting back on the trip, we did see a lot and experienced life in Vietnam and Cambodia. I would say that the Yampu agents communication was only fair to poor. We had requested 4 or 5 Star hotels. We did not get the standard we requested (according to our Yampu agent, due to budget) even though no budget was ever discussed. Feeling a bit ripped off on the cost. Advice to all, don't trust what you hear, look up on Trip advisor for cost before you make a decision to purchase. We could have gotten them for $80 - $150 online ourselves - Vietnam and Cambodia is a very inexpensive place to stay! Cancelled fight and Visa issues were of major concern. Others on the trip with a different travel itinerary and different company were rebooked and were instructed correctly on the Visa issue. We paid twice and out of pocket cash - no credit cards taken by airline agent or Visa agent. Indochina associates to Yampu in Cambodia weren't reliable and no follow thru as an escort - we were left at the airport to deal with an Airline Agent on our own - btw, we don't speak the language. We paid for a private tours and driver for this trip. Vietnam was much better than Cambodia. This 2 stars rating of Poor is accurate due to the inadequate experience with a lot of friction.

Great experience working with Karolina and the Yampu Tours team for my family's three week trip to Peru, Chile, and Argentina. Seamless connections, very good communication, knowledgeable local guides, and excellent accomodations all added up for a wonderful experience. My wife and I took my older parents and things were scheduled to be interesting enough for everyone to enjoy but not too exhausting that my folks couldn't keep up. The one hiccup we had at a restaurant was addressed very responsibly by Karolina and was very much appreciated. Overall A+ experience and I can't recommend them enough.

We enjoyed Oman and liked our 2 guides. The hotels were acceptable and the food was also. We learned a lot, which we always appreciate. The guides exposed us to a variety of experiences, which is what we wanted.

Yampu tours did an excellent job putting together our tour. Specifically, Karolina, our Yampu rep, excelled at getting to know us; our likes/dislikes, interests, etc., and constructed a tour that met all of our needs. The sites were amazing, guides were professional and knowledgeable, divers were safe and courteous and everything went off without a hitch.

Further, any changes that were needed or questions we had were dealt with in an expedited manner. Listening and communicating with the customer are huge parts of most jobs, but specifically tourism, and Karolina is great at both.

We intend to use Yampu again in the future, and specifically recommend Karolina for your travel needs.

Had an amazing trip to Chile and Patagonia, thanks to Yampu! They are very,very, well organized, coordinated and efficient. I will be calling Yampu again for my next vacation.

What was an incredible trip to view and photograph chimpanzees and gorillas also tuned out to be a trip to meet and fall in love with the land and people of Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda! Our guide in Tanzania, Sexton, was delightful and excellent in making sure our experience was exactly what we wanted. Although our time was short with him, we truly enjoyed every minute with him.



We also just couldn't have had a better guide than, Eric Nodorere, who became a very dear friend and cherished travel companion throughout our extended travels through Rwanda and Uganda. Indeed we have never spent so much concentrated time with anyone except our children and wouldn't have had it another way. Eric was very observant and sensitive to making sure everything went perfectly without our even noticing which is the definition of "exceeding expectations"!

I loved the printed itinerary you provided. It was helpful and we referred to it often. It had almost all the info we needed. I would recommend adding information in there about cell phone/mobile network coverage. I hadn’t thought about it ahead of time but luckily my phone had a daily TravelPass from a previous trip. Loved the hotels – all were high quality, and in great locations. Loved that the accommodations all included free breakfast! The transportation was really well organized – and made me feel like a celebrity.

1) Airport guide in Santiago was fantastic. When he dropped us back off at the airport, he actually stayed with us and helped us get processed through the ticket counter, and up to the security gate. He went above/beyond
2) I loved that Buenos Aires agency gave us printed vouchers with the specifics of everything – hotel, tours, transportation

City tours were both really great. The tour guides for both Santiago and Buenos Aires were awesome.

Antarctica XXI – Punta Arenas team
I’m glad we upgraded the flight to Antarctica – it added some value. The flight attendant on Antarctica Air was fantastic. The daily events at the hotel were a bit confusing. They didn’t put up notifications about times/expectations until the morning of. I would have preferred they give some notice the day before. The briefing at the hotel was well organized, as was the boot sizing, and the registration.

Antarctica XXI – Cruise team The entire cruise team was fantastic. The expedition staff was incredible – knowledgeable, personable, and everything was safety first.

The rest of the staff (dining, bar, housekeeping, captain) were all also fantastic. My only disappointment was I thought we would be able to get the Antarctic stamps at one/more of the bases on the continent. I had asked during the webinar (provided by Antarctica XXI) and they said we give our passports to the cruise team when we embark (which we did) and get them back when we disembark (which we did). But that THEIR team would get us stamps at a base or two.

At the very least, I wish we could have received the stamps from Russian and Chinese base camps at King George when we landed at the airport. Seems like that would have been easy to arrange.

Amazing trip overall. Yampu did an amazing job of keeping us informed, updated and ready for the trip.

Our travel agent, Stephanie, was terrific. The hotels were very nice. The tour guides were excellent..extremely knowledgeable and very, very nice. The transfers were all on time, efficient and friendly. The tours were tremendously interesting and exactly what we wanted. The entire experience just couldn't have been better.

They booked us tours and travel as requested to Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls, Santiago and San Pedro de Atacama in Chile. They did a peerless job - just fabulous with terrific people. We were always met on time no matter how late the plane and if we needed them to make a detour they did so willingly. The greatest thing was that they reduced anxiety to zero with regard to travel. The hotels they put us in were such that I would go to all four again in a shot. Yes, use these people!

We had an amazing 2 weeks in India. Karen Butler did a fantastic job of setting up hotels, tour guides, drivers, and visits to many places all the while accommodating a wedding we needed to attend in the middle. We had a blast and would use Yampu and Karen again.

Yampu Tours did a fantastic job putting together our tour to Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos. The trip went off without a hitch. We packed a lot of activities into three weeks and the logistics worked out with everything going according to plan.

We had an exceptional trip in Egypt coordinated by Yampu. The guides were very knowledgeable. They took care of everything from the minute we got off the plane, personally escorting us through every step of the trip to the time we boarded to go home. Yampu provided great value and would highly recommend them to our friends.

This was the second time I have used Yampu Tours and Karolina. The trip to Costa Rica was unreal. From the hotel rooms, tours, flights, you name it, absolute perfection. I would recommend Karolina to anyone!

We just came back from a Peru trip that we booked with Yampu. Wendy from Yampu was our travel consultant and she was great. She booked a flawless trip at a reasonable price with 5 star accommodations and great excursions. Throughout booking and the trip she was always available for questions. Peru is a little more complicated than other places we've been, so Yampu's help was much appreciated.
