Yayzi , what a disappointment.

Since installation I've had nothing but problems .Constant WiFi drop out , constant network drop out , Internet speed spiking up and down . Mtu issues .
Trying to get help via raising tickets is a nightmare and has sorted nothing to date .
The router supplied is known to be absolute rubbish , its all online to see .
I had no internet for a day one time , wife kicked out off team meetings from work , I couldn't access anything online , raised tickets to yayzi to be told we'd have to bare with them as they were swapping everyone to a new system ! Wtaf is that ? No pre warning so we could make arrangements, this company's service and customer care has been a huge disappointment for us .
I would not recommend to anyone based on our experience .

Great service highly recommended

Has everything been perfect since moving to yayzi? No. There's been times service has been lost and there was an issue when some of us were assigned new IP addresses and Geolocations were incorrect.

However, these issues were quickly rectified and I can't fault them outside this. The experiences I had with Sky meant that an ISP could come and beat me half to death but so long as I got some Internet I'd be happy.

The support is email/tickets/forum only at the moment but. Responses are fast and by staff who will go above and beyond. Liam and Stefan know their stuff.

Internet speeds are fast and prices are locked in. There isn't much more you can ask for from an ISP.

Sorry, it's not our fault.

Changed from 3 to 4 stars to be kind... But the last issue I had just felt like it was someone else's fault, even though previously the same fault had been cured by giving me a fixed IP address in the right range. Now, it might well be other vendor's fault, but a bit of sympathy wouldn't go amiss.

Brilliant Customer Service

After the last provider I had, the customer service and the actual service from yayzi has been brilliant. Was a little sceptical but I'm actually getting the speeds advertised 1.8gbps+ whatever time of the day and week.

When I have had issues I send an email and I know for guaranteed fact that I'll have a response usually within an hour and that it's already resolved. Couldn't recommend anyone more than this.

Waiting for 2gbps symmetrical service to go live in my area now hopefully soon

Needs to be more stable, and customer service need to be more responsive.

I’ve certainly had more downtime than with my previous provider Giganet. Speeds vary between 900-1900mb on download, although speed guarantee should see this closer to the upper end of the scale. Sometimes webpages aren’t particularly fast to load and there is a noticeable delay. When it’s working it’s great, just need to improve the reliability. I’m also still waiting for feedback on a ticket I raised nearly 2 weeks ago and an email I send a week ago. Pre sales they were super responsive, post sales leaves a lot to be desired.

Not true reviews look at bad ones true

Think half there reviews are fake here goes first day off cityfibre installing had problems with the cable from the pole kept snapping fibre wire OK seems crap
then yayzi uses ip routers upgrade wish I did to many drop outs with the yayzi router.had to use a teether app to use router crap again sky had issues in using there router direct to ethernet cable the bad black spots over the house even mobile phones kept disconnecting thought off getting rid of sky due to there speeds of upto 40mbps to yayzi guaranteed upto 900mbps direct from ethernet no guarantee speeds for wifi speeds.loads of down time 4 days off dropping out so I used my 14 days cooling off period and go back to sky wished I didn't look at the good reviews here first look at the bad reviews are more likely true advise don't go with this broadband.
Update sat 13 April 2024
Had no issues with sky with connection of mobile phones only with cityfibre kept losing connection more black spots than sky had but still had connection so i changed from adsl connecting to telephone line to fibre what a joke this how good fibre was when it kept snapping when they tried to install then if u look more people was offline for days.
Back to sky lower speeds but better signal and no connection issues.
Even tried to connect to laptop via ethernent dont go there no connection at all.

I can't quite understand your journey here, but it looks like your having some challenges that we would like to resolve for you, so if you can reach out to me direct support@yayzi.co.uk Ref Martin. Regards wifi speeds no ISP will guarantee these are there are too many variations to set up internally and peoples compatible devices, any guaranteed claims you will see anywhere are for wired direct to router.

Small, independent provider who offers a personal service

Lets get a few things clear from the start. Yayzi are a CityFibre reseller, that means if you have an install issue it’s usually a CityFibre issue and nothing to do with the ISP, so my initial issues while part of my overall experience are related to CityFibre and its contractors, and would have happened no matter who I ordered through.

I have watched CityFibres build progress for months, I first became aware of Yayzi via Reddit as they were active on the CityFibre sub, as they were relatively active on the sub, it was obvious if something went wrong customers used that as a way to try and draw attention to issues. You quickly begin to realise that many of the issues relate to install/activation issues which are nothing to do with the ISP. My install didn't go smoothly, the first install the team showed up hours after the slot and didn't want to do it as it was too dark, because of the way the CF system works, until the install team log that on CF’s system, you cant re-book an install. The second install was booked for an AM slot, as at least they couldn’t claim to be afraid of the dark right? Well CityFibre switched me to a PM install without asking, pay attention to the text the day before, it’s the only notification of any change you will get! When they did turn up, there was a problem that required a splice (join) of fibre, that means an actual CityFibre tech needs booking and we have two covering the whole area, and until the install team log the issue on the CF system, nothing can be booked. The first CityFibre tech must have been a ninja, he was certainly invisible to CCTV, the next turned up a day early because he was in the area on a Sunday and once he spliced the cable, Yayzi had me activated in minutes despite being outside of support hours.

Lets talk about Yayzi, they're a small independent ISP with minimal headcount, this is great in some respects as you get a personal service, but can be a challenge as if for any reason Liam isn't available, you have to question what would happen and how this will scale up? In fairness to Liam, I have had replies to install issues way out of published support hours and he’s 100% honest, sometimes he doesn't have a definitive answer which is fair enough. Support is via Whatsapp or the Yayzi forum and always friendly.

Billing isn't perfect, they appear to use an automated system that works perfectly as long as it requires no intervention. However in my case I had been assured that due to the install issues/delay, a period of free service would be added which given it was beyond Yayzi’s control was appreciated. I received an automatically generated invoice which was then apparently cancelled, I confirmed it wouldn't be taken twice (I got a further email reminder) and then it was. In fairness I was offered an immediate refund, but took a credit note as it was easier for both parties.

Service wise I signed up for the 900/900 service, but was migrated to the 1.2/1Gb service with static IP at no cost difference and that price is guaranteed for 3 years. I can saturate the connection up/down at full speed whenever required. Latency is slightly higher at 10-12ms than hoped (4-6 would be more in line with expectations), but compared to Virgin Media, its glorious, Yayzi apparently plan to bring a Manchester presence online which should potentially improve that for those of us up north. They were in the process of migrating network providers in March and had been doing small batches each evening, however the existing transit provider had an issue and the choice was made to move the remaining customers to the new network, this resulted in 38hrs of downtime for me, and since the migration static IP’s haven’t been static, though that appears to be resolved in my case now. They also don’t use CGNAT anymore thankfully. Some people have reported latency issues when gaming eg Fortnite, my son hasn’t, so I can’t complain.

Hardware supplied is actually decent, the 900 and 1.2Gb products are supplied with a TP-Link Aginet HX220 which is surprisingly reasonable, decent wifi coverage (Aginet is basically an ISP version of Deco) and can be scaled out with additional units that can be sourced cheaply when in stock, or you can pay Yayzi £15/m for an additional node (dropping to £10/m soon), the EX820v is supplied for the 2Gb+ service and for the £99 they charge, it’s hard to argue with and has 2.5Gb WAN and LAN ports. You can also opt to use your own hardware and save the £99 up front, and unlike most ISP’s Yayzi operate via DHCP rather than PPoE.

Overall its not been perfect, but the majority of issues have been minor and handled quickly, and in an open and honest manner, even more importantly feedback is taken on board and things changed as a result, having worked in the industry and on the process side, thats a massive positive for me.

Yayzi knocked it out the park!

Found Yayzi after being dropped by Cuckoo due to no longer being in their catchment area and trying to transfer me to a less than desirable ISP.

Even though I am currently away on deployment with my job, Liam and Stefan were extremely quick and efficient in getting back to me and organizing certain details for me due to my unique situation, all whilst doubling my speed of my internet at a lower cost! Even offering to send a replacement router same day when my original one was sent to the wrong address, genuinely 10/10 customer service!

I haven't had the opportunity to fully test the network as of yet, however from initial tests (Speedtests ect) it seems like its living up to its name of being the speediest broadband in the UK, and it should improve once it has settled in! The router provided is also amazing, a absolute steal for the price you pay for setup!

Looking forward to many years of fast broadband and brilliant customer service, thankyou Yayzi!

Yayzi all I can say is AMAZING

Cityfibre come to install my 2.5gb broadband ONT box on the 22nd March. I then plugged in there supplied router and away I go. The speeds wired 2.3gb download & 2.2gb upload speeds and wireless roughly 700-1200mbps speeds. I don’t have no more dropouts and also get really low latency etc. I will say ignore the negative reviews and get Yayzi broadband now👍

UPDATE: I did originally have some problems with slow download speeds which didn’t realise was my antivirus.

Please avoid this company at all costs

Please avoid this company at all costs. They will cause you far more hassle than it is worth.

They had a big network outage on Tuesday 12th March. Fair enough, it can happen to anyone. The true test of a company is how they respond. They said things would be fixed within an hour or so…

That is where things went downhill, fast. At first it was 38 hours before my connection was restored. The connection was up for around 6 hours, but packet loss and unresponsive sites made the connection worthless during this period. The connection promptly and unexpectedly went back down, and has been down ever since (currently around 26 hours). I was assured only a “handful” of customers were impacted by this… at which point you think great, a smaller number surely means more bespoke support.

Trying to find out the progress or get help at this point was like drawing blood from a stone. The Pro package I signed up for offers “Priority Support” - this support basically amounts to you having to chase them up on their forums or WhatsApp, where you will very often be ignored. You can email them too… but they’ll ignore those as well! When they do respond it’s “please reset the ONT and router” and then they ignore you again for hours. There is no functional online ticketing system, so there’s no single auditable record. It’s just a lucky dip forum post approach. Remarkably the poor customer support is actually the only glimmer of hope for me, as I’m hoping I can argue the support offered is actually a breach of the “priority support” that was agreed in the contract and might allow me to ditch these jokers ASAP.

I’ve even had to extend my BT service that was due to cease this month. The process for that was a 5 minute call, where the BT customer support actually expressed a better apology for Yayzi’s service than Yayzi have managed themselves!

Please don’t do what I did by ignoring the trustpilot reviews, go with a reputable company that actually have more than one member of the support team. I’ve never even left a trustpilot review before, but I had to make an exception to explain just how bad this provider is.

Hi Sean, thanks for your feedback. It’s frustrating for both parties when things don't go as planned and it frustrates me more that you feel. As you mention we did have a service outage when a switch went down out of our control. At first, we thought it would be up sooner, and this was the first contact communicated and then we realised when identified the fault, that this could take some time. We acted immediate and posted out a network status, updated links on our pages and communicated back to all incoming messages the link, as you can appreciate supports ticket lit up very quickly, but all the team rallied to restore service and as same time respond to customers at a rapid pace.

We took the opportunity to move our remaining customers over to our new system of which we had no issues for customers on this, as it was already in motion when this happened. The new network is more resilient, IPv6 and other improvements ready for our new upgrade phase for customer access, which also has several fall-back options if anything like this arises again.

As you can imagine everyone’s set up a little bit different and customers were resetting, wiping settings, factory resetting etc, so most came back online quickly but then we had to manually work through customers individually to get them resolved for the remaining.

We do apologise for the inconvenience for being offline and did our best to resolve for all customers as fast as we could under the circumstances. We now have a bigger, better, faster network and although we may feel let down on this occasion we are striving to improve in all areas. Thanks Martin Gardner CEO

YAYZI: An Internet Nightmare (Avoid at All Costs!)

Absolutely APPALLING service! I'm furious and writing this review to warn anyone considering YAYZI. For the past 2 months, my internet connection has been an UNRELIABLE JOKE. Daily disconnections are the norm, making even basic tasks online a frustrating chore. But it gets WORSE. There have been multiple ENTIRE DAYS with NO CONNECTION AT ALL.

This wouldn't be so bad if YAYZI customer service was even remotely helpful. Unfortunately, it's another layer of disappointment. I've been dealing with a so-called "customer care representative" named Liam, who seems to be a master of deflection and empty promises.

Here's how it goes:

The Problem: The internet cuts out constantly, sometimes for hours on end.
Liam's "Solution": A never-ending cycle of reboots, router resets, and troubleshooting steps that NEVER fix the issue.
The Outcome: Still no internet, and wasted hours dealing with Liam's useless suggestions.
It's become blatantly obvious that Liam is LYING. He has no intention of solving the problem, just leading me down a rabbit hole of pointless tasks. It's clear YAYZI doesn't care about its customers and is happy to take our money while delivering an unusable service.

I'm terminating my contract and I will be taking my complaint to regulatory bodies / Ofcom and pursuing every avenue for compensation due to the bills I've had to rack up with mobile data.

DO NOT USE YAYZI! They will leave you with a useless internet connection and terrible customer service. Save yourself the stress and find a reliable provider who actually values its customers.

Also any reply I get from you YAYZI or Liam, do not bother. I've already written a review of this on TP and removed it because I was promised changes and fixes but this one is staying and you cant talk your way out anymore!

For the love of god avoid this company.

For the love of god avoid this company.

I am now in Month TWO of having no broadband at home OR at the little B&B since handing over to Yayzi.

There is NO phone number to reach them on - so you need a working internet connection to explain you have no internet connection.

They don't even bother to answer emails for days now. They offered a 4G/5G router for ONE of the two sites - which I accepted - but of course the days have turned into weeks and THAT hasn't arrived either.

If being able to at least TALK to your Broadband provider is important, then avoid Yayzi.

They DO manage to keep invoicing though. paid £99 for the router, and almost £50 a month at one location and around £29 at the other.

I was told the invoices had been cancelled - though that was not true - as my bank was hit by them!

It's All Sunshine and Rainbows Until...

My house and I became Yayzi customers in August 2023, attracted by their competitive prices and speed of internet. There were a few delays from their end but we let it go as we figured we were dealing with a small company and we wanted to support independent business. Everything was going swimmingly until February.

As a house of young peers working online, the internet is second to only our PCs in assisting our ability to perform. so at the start of February, when the internet went out during an upgrade, my friends were rightfully concerned.

Yayzi reassured us that this was just an issue with CityFibre waiting to release the previous line. We were repeatedly reassured that this would be quickly resolved.

CityFibre engineers visited and stated that this was actually an issue with Yayzi. So now we have two companies, both pointing fingers at each other. With hindsight I am more inclined to believe CityFibre's engineers but back then we had no clue what to do.

We were assured that this was being worked on tirelessly, but a week later and we were still without internet. Communication was incredibly patchy, with my peer being ignored for days on end. However, eventually we were messaged stating that an issue had been found: a spot of damaged fibre, and that it was being worked on. 5 days later, we were still without internet, it was now approaching two weeks in total without internet, and everyone was growing incredibly restless.

Now with two points of contact, my peers posting in online forums such as Reddit and Twitter, Yayzi offered a new solution: Starlink. Elon Musk's satellite system that could provide internet until the issue is addressed.

We agreed, and were assured it would be here by the 24th of February latest. They stated we should have been sent an email with tracking information from Starlink. We had not been. They said they were chasing-up more information. A few days later they contacted us stating that it was just their mistake and they had accidentally sent the Starlink to their own offices, and would be repackaging it and sending it to us, and that this should arrive very soon. It's now the 29th and it has not arrived, leaving us very unsure as to the whereabouts of Starlink.

I don't think I can remember a time in my life where I've ever gone more than 24 hours without working internet. Yet Yayzi are always aspiring to break records. Everyone is very tired, fed up, and irritated by the service.

Nevertheless, I think I'm just disappointed that we've been treated so poorly. Yayzi have promised 12 months of internet at no charge, but what does that mean if we don't have internet right now. It affects our business and our work, and going through other reviews and seeing similar experiences does not give me hope moving forward with this business. If this is not resolved soon I will have to begin to explore other options, and work on making sure that Yayzi's incompetence doesn't go completely unchecked as I feel that companies like these can only excuse so much through incompetence.

If you wish to switch to Yayzi for cheap yet fast internet then go ahead, but be warned, if you experience issues, I wouldn't bank on them to come through for you. You might just find yourself approaching a month without internet, which in the 21st century, is nearly unfathomable.

Thanks,
