First time clay pigeon shooting last week with Yorkshire Outdoors. A fantastic experience, very friendly staff who are passionate about what they do and Brian our instructor was brilliant. Definitely recommend a visit.

WOW!! Just had a fantastic experience celebrating my husband's 65th!
The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and patient with us all! Neither one of us had experience of driving quad bikes but with Dillon's and James's expert tuition, we all felt confident and most importantly, safe to follow their lead!!
Elise, Ben, Neil and Lee , thank you for a memorable experience.... can't wait to do it all again!!!!! 👍👍👍

My Husband and I had a fantastic time at 'Yorkshire Outdoors' yesterday. Lee was a fabulous instructor in the 4x4 Land Rover Defender, giving me confidence to tackle the most amazing terrain. He and his father Dave who instructed us in the Clay Pigeon shooting were both delightful guys, full of smiles and giggles but with safety paramount. What a great day, thanks 'Yorkshire Outdoors '

This was an experience we booked for our grandsons as something to enjoy after doing their GCSE's. It was everything we hoped it would be, they enjoyed the 4x4 experience, the clay pigeon shooting and the quad bikes and we're absolutely buzzing when we left. That in itself was worth every penny to us,especially th way we were all looked after on our visit. We felt very confident leaving them in the very safe hands of all the staff and were thrilled to be taken up to watch them shooting. Safety was uppermost in all that they did and I would personally recommend them to anyone who is looking for that type of experience.
Thank you once again to all the staff that we met on both our visit in March to book it and on the day this week.

Henry is 10 and loves driving! Where do you take a driving mad 10 year old? Yorkshire outdoors totally looked after him. A great experience - 2 hours driving a 110 defender around a great fun and testing course. Lee the instructor had a great balance of safety, instruction and fun. Would thoroughly recommend this place and the staff. It is a family run business and gives that warm family feeling when you arrive. Well done guys!!

4x4 off-roading experience. I did this with Yorkshire Outdoors, they are based near to Thirsk in Yorkshire. The instructor [Gordon] was superb and all the staff there were friendly and welcoming. Great course - it was my first time doing this and it was both educational and then a real test of my skill - they didn't go easy on me. I got the full hour - no short measures. Would definitely like to go again!

BEWARE!!! Be very careful when booking with this company. I had a booking which was part of a group on a stag party that was travelling a long way to our destination and calling there on route. The morning of the booking they cancelled due to weather causing damage overnight. I fully appreciated with the damage made our activity impossible and asked for a refund. I was told then they don't do refunds but we could have another date.
I explained this was not possible as we was travelling over 2 and a half hours to be there and it was unfeasible for us to travel that distance to just do the activity at a later date.
They refused to refund me and refered me to their terms and conditions (which only cover none refund if the punter cancels). They could not provide the service, they did not outlay any monies when they cancelled our activity so they basically stole my money and refuse to refund me.
I'm now in the process of taking these people to court to get my money back.(brilliant timing just before Christmas when the kids want presents)
The activities are brilliant as I have been there previously but the management are terrible, don't call back when promised etc.... be warned.

There's since been a reply to my review saying I'm unreasonable. I'm nothing of the sort. If we was from nearer to the location I would of happily rescheduled our booking as I explained to Richard. But we live hours away and was unfeasible to do the journey just for an hour and a half shooting when there are many places nearer to us. Hence why I asked for a refund for the services not provided.
If I was shown some form of respect and actually called back when I was told I would be it would of been a much better review. The facility is great having been there before on a previous family trip. Just this time I was treated like it was my fault.
