I haven't played golf for over 3 years…

I haven't played golf for over 3 years and when I cancelled my policy i have a lot of trouble to do so.
I received an email yesterday saying my renewal date was next month.
Today I rang them up to find out that my policy had ran for three years and although I had cancelled my policy there was another one running.
I asked how could that be and there no explanation, they said they would cancel this one and when I asked for a refund and asked how could I have two policies as that surely cannot be right they just fobbed me off.
Such a rip off please be aware.

All our policies run on an auto renewal basis to ensure you continue to be covered; this is stated in our terms of business which were agreed to when the policy was taken out. You also have the opportunity when setting the policy up or during the policy period to opt out of auto renewal.

We send all our customers an advance notice 28 days prior to renewal to advise them that the policy is due for renewal and the cost so if you are not happy with this you can opt out or discuss the price with ourselves as we would never force customers to auto renew, this is entirely up to them.
