I’ve seen all the reviews people are saying how good the company is that is what I thought 6 years ago was easy to open account etc good customer services, how ever what you need to know is that’s great but when you actually need to make a claim that’s when you find out how bogus this company is I’ve been waiting since October 25 for my clam to go through I’ve had to chase them and still I’m waiting made a complaint which has not helped was told by the complaints team I have to wait until march until they will reply to my complaint again my claim was made in October 25 we now in February absolutely disgusting company don’t waste your money better to save what you pay in case of loss check out a company’s payment after claim rather than when you opened account be advised

I was given a company from the jeweler and went to their site and they quoted much more than Ripe with all the same Terms and Conditions.
The website for using Ripe, was easy to navigate and made the process easy to understand.

I submitted a claim for the loss of a…bracelet in early May 2025 and have not received settlement of my claim or any correspondence from Ripe Valuables since early June 2025
I submitted a claim for the loss of a bracelet valued at approx £1000.00 in early May 2025. I submitted all the required paperwork to support my claim and yet 13 weeks later I am still waiting on this claim to be resolved. I have contacted Ripe Valuables on several occasion seeking an update and have been very disappointed by the lack of any meaningful information as to the progress of my claim. Given the relatively small amount of the claim I would have expected it to have been resolved weeks ago but I am left without any resolution after 3months, Absolutely unacceptable and extremely poor customer care from Ripe valuables. I certainly will NOT be doing any further business with is company in the future

Beware this company takes money from your account after you cancel the policy.
I cancelled my policy online a month ago and a renewal still got taken out of my account.
I called the company who said it was a genuine mistake and the money would go back in my account.
I won’t be using their services again.

trying to get my fishing gear insured this company is not worth the hassle they'll only insure it for the lowest cost of replacing if stolen it'll cost more than than what they're quoting to replace it seems to me they ain't in the real world not for me these like to screw you

The renewal price was £45.80
The renewal price was £45.80, compared to the previous year's circa £13. I checked the breakdown, and it is similar to last year's: £11.88 + £1.42 tax, but now they included a £32.50 admin fee on top, with no tax BTW!
I am giving them 3* for good communication. The renewal email was well ahead of renewal, and they answered calls quickly.

A note re Insure4Sport renewal costs
I have had windsurfing TP liability through them for the last few years. They just informed me that my policy will auto renew at a cost of ‘only £44.59’; last year it was £20.99.
No reason given for this 112% increase and when I complained and I was offered: ‘a 30% discount bringing the annual cost of your policy down to £40.96.’ (?maths?)
It seems they have sold their book onto ‘ripe’ who are obviously trying to price gouge clients via auto renewal.

I was looking to get jewelry insurance, went on their website and noticed proudly displayed on their website at the top a trust pilot evaluation of 5 stars. Went on here to see an evaluation of 4.1 stars. If they lie about reviews what else will they lie about. Will not be using this company.

You may have been looking at the site https://www.ripeinsurance.co.uk/. This site is the host site for all our products and this does display 5 stars as this is our average rating across all our products.
Ripe Insurance does currently have over 7 different products across the Ripe website and when you select a product, it will then display the individual Trustpilot rating for that product.
We would never lie about reviews and all our reviews are genuine from our customers.

A straightforward online process
It was straightforward process to obtain a quote. I had a slight difficulty in setting up my online account as my iMac didn't seem to like the password setting procedure but I succeeded in the end by persevering.

I haven't played golf for over 3 years…
I haven't played golf for over 3 years and when I cancelled my policy i have a lot of trouble to do so.
I received an email yesterday saying my renewal date was next month.
Today I rang them up to find out that my policy had ran for three years and although I had cancelled my policy there was another one running.
I asked how could that be and there no explanation, they said they would cancel this one and when I asked for a refund and asked how could I have two policies as that surely cannot be right they just fobbed me off.
Such a rip off please be aware.

All our policies run on an auto renewal basis to ensure you continue to be covered; this is stated in our terms of business which were agreed to when the policy was taken out. You also have the opportunity when setting the policy up or during the policy period to opt out of auto renewal.
We send all our customers an advance notice 28 days prior to renewal to advise them that the policy is due for renewal and the cost so if you are not happy with this you can opt out or discuss the price with ourselves as we would never force customers to auto renew, this is entirely up to them.
