Excellent audiologist and service

I came across Audiological Science via Facebook and found it easy to book an appointment at their Lincoln clinic, which is a consulting room at an NHS health clinic. They 'phoned a couple of times to check I had the details of the appointment and I was seen by Harisanker. He was extremely polite and focussed and after an initial check of existing conditions and hearing test history he conducted the basic hearing test (click button when hearing a range of beeps and squeeks). The outcome was a hearing loss diagnosis in one ear and a referal to my GP. Harisanker followed up within an hour, writing to my GP requesting an NHS hearing test and including the results of the test. There was no pressure to 'go private', just an impression that Harisanker genuinely cared about my hearing and getting it sorted.

Discs and pads on Volvo XC40

Dropped in to check cause of screeching from wheel and turned out to be worn disc catching pads, pads all okay. Decided to replace all discs and pads and it was sorted in a few hours, including getting the parts in at a much, much lower price than dealer.

Very easy to set up and use

Very easy to set up and use. Slightly disconcerting how funds dissappear after depositing; you pick one of the provider bank accounts, put the funds into Raisin and there's a spell when the money leaves your Raisin account balance and doesn't appear in the providing bank account. When you leap in and haven't heard of Raisin, to see zero's in your dashboard may test your confidence, 'specially when you go and check reviews in the day or so that the money can have disappeared and see bad reviews 😐. No issues though, money re-appeared after a day or so, although I'd like to see the money clearly allocated somewhere visible throughout the process. Overall, it's easy to work and the rates are some of the best available so it's a 5 from me!

Can't believe how well packed it was

Delivered for free Next Day with DHL and the box was encassed in a protective wood frame. Honestly, very impressed with the standard of the protection for the warming display oven which was in perfect condition. The item itself was good value, reasonably priced and works well.

I expected them to get out of the claim…

I expected them to get out of the claim but they sorted it quickly, fully and efficiently. We had mortar failure on the valleys of a home built 10 years ago and there is a minimum claim which I assumed was more that the repair cost but put in a claim at the suggestion of the builder, which wasn't being very helpful with goodwill etc, and expecting no success. NHBC needed a report on the problem, which I compiled myself, with photos and comments from a roofing contractor who had provided an estimate and once they'd got that they sent an insepctor who very quickly prepared a costing of repairs, covering all costs (scaffolding, waste disposal, ground protection, provision of toilet facilities etc; the lot) and it came out above the minimum claim value. They then asked the original builder if they wished to complete the repairs (declined) so transfered their costing direct into our account to source a builder ourself. My overall take is not to expect too much of the cover and if you have a genuiine claim it's an excellent service.

Talk about Jobsworth form filling

Talk about Jobsworth form filling; I've no objection to providing our policy documents and completing pages and pages of information if I feel the hours of work are worthwhile but this portal is hadwork without any payback. I thought it was me that was being stupid until I read the other feedback. It's exasperating to think you've completed uploading everything just to find a new requirement pops up and to get the feeling that you've already done it elsewhere in another section. The Help chat didn't.

Just waiting to hear back, not happy

UPDATE: Optimalprint customer service have been in touch and identified that they'd used a different printer for an additional print order, which didn't match the others and offered to reprint with the original printer; looking good.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Just waiting to hear back, so hopefully it will be resolved succesfully. Ordered 5 large acrylic wall mounted prints and was slightly underwhelmed by the thickness (they flex on the wall), but living with it. Ordered a 6th to complete a line of prints along the wall a few days later and it was thicker acrylic and the wall fixings were totally different, much smaller and the quality of the print was not as good; not as 'bright'. I suspect they've used a different supplier and I have asked if they will reprint with the original supplier but haven't heard back yet. Not happy that within a few days, the ordered item is completely different and doesn't match ones that I've now got on the wall.... Order number 18255546

Pretty good, let down a bit by chat service

Getting the account online was easy and trouble-free and the chat was accessible at most times with little delay. Chat operators were friendly but a few promises made weren't followed through. Got there in the end though.

Credit where credit is due

Now lockdown easing the UK service can be amazing. Dropped parcel at depot near Lincoln 19:22 (yes, 20 past 7 in the evening) and it was delivered north of Aberdeen the next day at 14:42. Exports still having issues, system creates a Commercial Invoice from details you enter online; seems slick, but unfortunately they then reject thier own invoice when it gets to their customs conformity check! 12 days later, still trying to get sorted. It'll get there in the end, hopefully

Took a van in to the Lincoln site and…

Took a van in to the Lincoln site and was paid what had been offerered, very honest guy on the check-in and he explained that if people are honest about the condition and record all damage before getitng the final price online it goes smoothly. Issue arise where people don't highlight issues and the check-in then has to add any extra damage and each one downgrades the final offer. Seems fair enough and we got the money through quickly and easily

Unfortunately I find it a bit clunky

Unfortunately I find it a bit clunky, adds on delivery twice sometimes, opens up a second order without apparent prompting and doesn't remember previous delivery addresses. Searching for a previous order to get the address isn't a single click either, you need to copy the order number and past it in. I'd use it more if it was more user friendly.

Issue resolved, as long as promised refund materialises

As some other reviewers have said, ParcelHero are fairly good at responding to emails and have confirmed that a failed collection will now be fully credited. I'm not sure if this was precipitated by raising a charge back through the credit card compnay but at least the promise of a full refund has been made. I would say if things go okay, no probs but if a problem arises you need to persist and if their suppliers loose a shipment you're on you own (generally the same as if you ship direct with the courier). Final thought, the couriers are giving them a discount versus their direct customers, so ParcelHero's backup from the couriers is likely to be worse than if you shipped direct.
ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW
Had an urgent parcel, looked at the options on ParcelHero, picked one that was next day (not cheapest, so I assumed it would work) about 4 hours later informed wouldn't be collected, client let down. So can I cancel for a refund? No problem cancelling, but £6 charge to cancel, for their mistake, and I still have to arrange the delivery with other carriers? ITS NOT BEEN COLLECTED. Claiming that they are just a fascilitator doesn't wash either, so far sound like scammers. Hopefully they'll resolve it so I can amend my feedback, but currently I wouldn't recommend them. In summary, not that cheap, they add credit card surcharges (outlawed from 13th January), promise what they can't provide, unprofessional, need I go on?

I've been miffed in the past, not any more

I've been miffed by their lack of goodwill in the past but in the current situation they were very co-operative and fully credited cost of a trip for early May, including refund of insurance. I can understand their prices being premium at the moment as they must be running at very low levels and they still have huge costs to cover. I was going to dump them forever when they initially said I could only rebook within 12 months, not refund, but went on chat and they said call the helpline for a full credit, which happened virtually straight away. We'll be back!

Very easy website, quick to submit order and picked free delivery, which gave about 5 days and received an email same day to say it was despatched and it arrived 2 days later with a proper courier, not one of the cheap and cheerful ones
