Avalara carried through a change of address of my business in several countries among which Spain. Now it turns out they gave the Spanish tax authorities the wrong address. Since I'm no longer with Avalara, my new tax advisor needs to correct Avalara's mistake. Avalara has admitted their mistake but they refuse to pay for the cost of the correction, even though they caused these costs to occur. They only offer a refund of the fee I paid them at the time, adding that if I accept, I also accept that they won't pay for anything else. This is unacceptable to me as a matter of principle. Companies need to own their mistakes and offer compensation where it is due.
Update in response to Avalara's reply:
What you're saying is incorrect. I'm not "working on a solution" because Avalara doesn't offer a proper solution. You refuse to pay the cost of correcting your mistake. You only offered a refund of the fee I paid you but not compensation for the extra costs incurred.

I tried to cancel my free trial month so that it doesn't renew. It's so unclear how to do this that I don't know if I succeeded. I can't sign in anymore, even though my trial month is not over. I did not get a confirmation email that my account is canceled.

Sehr schlecht erreichbar. Wenn man in der Warteschlange steht, hört man ständig "Bitte haben Sie noch etwas Geduld...." Muss man also ständig diese Nachricht hören statt Musik... Man regt also dazu an, dass man aufhängt. Offensichtlich ist das das Ziel.

Ik ben woonachtig in Nederland maar belastingplichtig in Duitsland. Dit was reden om mijn aanvraag van een credit card af te wijzen (ondanks hoog inkomen). Zeer onredelijk.

Ik had een Cadyce dual displayport naar usb c besteld en ontvangen. Na bijna twee jaar deed hij het ineens niet meer. Na melding kreeg ik meteen een nieuwe toegestuurd (nog net binnen de garantie van 2 jaar). Prima service!

I used Landbell for EPR Germany.
My complaints:
- They canceled the contract as a "service provider" with me, without communicating that they would still be my "Producer Responsible Organization". You would need to be an expert to notice the difference because they didn't mention it in their (apparently partial) cancelation. A disgrace!
- After I noticed they pulled this off, I wanted to cancel but am now stuck with them for another year.
- They are no longer reachable by phone. This was a requirement for me to choose them in the first place.
- Their emails are no longer signed by a person, it's just the Landbell Team. This makes it feel like they're much less accountable.

Ich habe gerade einen Vertrag abgeschlossen. Jetzt sehe ich, dass man die meisten Sachen künftig nur im App machen kann. Ich bevorzuge es, solche organisatorische Sachen immer auf meinem Rechner zu machen. Dass der App sehr gut sein sollte, ist mir egal. Wir sind Individuen und haben individuelle Vorzüge. Warum also nicht weiter die online (Browser-) Services anbieten?

Ik wil ze gewoon even bellen, maar de website dwingt je dan om eerst een tijd met een bot te chatten die eindeloos vragen stelt. Waar is de tijd dat je gewoon even kon opbellen en dan een persoon aan de lijn krijgt?
