Excellent service, no hassle and moved very quickly

Not responsive. Unable to contact via phone.

pretty easy. most things work well through their portal. I had a couple of documents that wouldn't upload there but the staff are responsive to email and sorted that out quickly. They give good advice about what's next on common things to update.

Absolutely heartbroken from Optimas horrendous treatment.

It's taken me 24 hrs to calm down!!
We have been waiting a couple of weeks for our solicitors to be able to draw down for our remortgage, we have been set and ready to exchange and complete on the sale of our house. To be able to do this we had a short fall that needed to be covered. So we decided to remortgage our bingalow to be able to cover the short fall. after going through all of the messing with an online supposed easier way of contacting them on their app (what a load of crap!! If your not aaking a question that they have stipulated you cant get an answer!) And as for their call service once you have found the phone no they are like bloody robots! For goodness sake dont ask a question outside the box as their scripted replys are infuriatingly! So you cant have your remortgage money until you sell your house, OK but we are borrowing the money for the shortfall, well untill you sell the house you cant have the money.
Well thank you very much Optima you have lost us our sale due to your absolute incompetent behaviour. We are now in financial difficulty all because we didn't tick your boxes!! You as a service provider are useless, disrespect of peoples needs and treat us all as a number with not an ounce of care or companion to how you effect people's lives.
Stear well clear of these cowboys!!
If your dealing with Barclays please ask to use your own solicitors, I hope this can offer better results for those moving forward.

Used their services for a remortgage. All done online through their website which is clear and easy to use for uploading or reading documents and checking overall progress. The work was undertaken quickly.
Would be happy to use again.

If I could give minus starts I would. DO NOT use this company. I don't know how they have so many starts on Trust Piolot, you need to check out Review Solicitors instead of Trust Piolot.
4 months my simple remortgage has been going through as a "free conveyancer" by Barclays. DO NOT USE! They're free because they are totally incompetent. They have caused my huge financial losses. Nobody replies. Complaints are dismissed and not followed up. They cannot conveyance anything appropriately. Awful experience. I don't know how they have 4 stars on here as everywhere else they're a 1/5! My re-mortgage will not complete on time, Optima haven't even replied to Barclays and confirmed a date to complete... they've had 4 months. I am now taking complaint to SRA and Legal Ombudsman. Save yourself the stress and don't use this company!

Absolutely fantastic. Smooth, quick efficient. Seriously Optima Legal was excellent. Their online portal was simple to use and kept me reassured throughout the progress. Their messaging service was really good. They always replied back to me. Optima Legal dealt with our remortgage really quickly under a month. Moving from one lender to another. Also a special shout out to Amy Moor who was one of their colleagues, who personally contacted me. Amy confirmed the completion date and went through everything with me. Today my remortgage completed and my lender received the funds. Really, really, happy. Thankyou so much Optima Legal

AVOID OPTIMA LEGAL – Appalling Service, Poor Communication, and a £1,000+ Shortfall
I rarely write reviews, but the experience my husband and I have had with Optima Legal during our remortgage has been so poor that I feel compelled to warn others.
From the very beginning, communication was a disaster. Despite both of us being named on the mortgage and both registering with Optima, only my husband received any correspondence — leaving me, the person handling everything, completely in the dark throughout the entire process.
The instructions provided for signing the mortgage deed were so unclear that even one of Optima’s own staff members admitted they weren’t fit for purpose when we called for help. We filled in the deed incorrectly twice as a result, which pushed back our completion date.
Most critically, Optima received our mortgage deed on 8th June but failed to flag that the company name listed on their mortgage deed, due to a recent take over, was incorrect. We weren’t told until 22nd June — almost two weeks later. That two-week delay, combined with the fact that Optima had never once contacted our lender Atom during this entire process (something we only discovered when we called on the Friday), meant we missed our completion date and were left with a shortfall of over £1000 that we had no choice but to pay out of pocket.
When we raised a formal complaint, Optima offered us £100 in compensation. £100. For a £1k+ shortfall caused entirely by their delays, their failure to communicate, and their failure to do basic due diligence on our file. The offer is insulting.
The stress, the financial loss, and the sheer frustration this has caused is unacceptable. I would not recommend Optima Legal to anyone.

It's one star off 5 because I was schmused and I think it was done so I wrote a good review for them?

I liked the tracker on the portal, I didn't like the blanket permissions about acting on my behalf and not because they were my solicitors it was for the deeds and land registry which felt a bit uncomfortable. The phone calls were a bit abrupt when you asked genuine questions and the last phone call I was schmused and congratulated a little over the top which afterwards I felt may have been a bit of a ploy.

Very quick and simple to use. I had no issues and found the service good overall
