Excellent for people who are off school during lockdown or are practicing for their GCSE’s or highers!
Highly recommend to people of all ages within reason! Love this site!

Given the circumstances that everyone is going through, the last thing you want is money being taken out of your account.

I used this service for 2 weeks, and cancelled my subscription. I didn't speak to any Tutor, as it wasn't even available to. My subscription was cancelled, fair enough I paid for the first month as I did use the service.
I then get an email a few days ago saying "thanks for your recent purchase!" Which sent alarm bells, so I logged back into my account, and noticed that Absorb had Renewed my subscription without my authority. So of course, I cancelled the subscription for the Second time, and sent them an email asking why this had happened as I cancelled my subscription.
Their customer service skills are quite lacking, and their responses are very blunt and abrasive. This got my back up and I asked them to not take any money out of my account and that I am not paying for a service that I haven't used since November, and used for 2 weeks. I then check today that they have taken money out of my account, despite me asking them not to, and again, have gone Against my word.

During times like this, this is not what you want, and I have now had to get my Bank involved with this to stop them taking more of my money. It's quite worrying that they still have access to my money and account details despite me deleting them...

Please be careful and read all reviews before making a decision to go with this company.

I felt like I was pressurised into starting a course with this company and then unfortunately my wife was diagnosed with a serious problem and had to take time off work.

It was a really bad experience being chased by debt collectors when i didnt even start the course.

They claimed claimed i had logged onto their site, which is totally false.

They have hounded me for payments despite me stating that I could not even start the course until January

Avoid at all costs as i ended up with a CCJ without ever having spoken to a tutor.

I was very concerned about choosing a learning program - when it comes to my boy, I want the best for him and the more you want that - the harder it is to make choices. After looking around for weeks, I was amazed at the helpfulness available on Absorb and the meaningful advice on subject choice, I reckon, mostly, the time they repeatedly took to get me up to speed. It is such a great feeling to know that there are people who care to this extent. Great support Absorb!! Thank you.

Please be aware the 14 day “ opt out “ period is not enough time to discover the poor quality of this service. Basically videos and information lifted from YouTube and other resources. There were alarm bells ringing when Keiran “ sold “ me this course. ( that’s what I believe him to be- a salesman who’s more interested in making money than providing quality education) But I went on the reviews. Which seemed to be all ( or mostly ) positive.
So after the first month I had this niggling feeling I had made a mistake. ( they’d also spelt my name wrongly) This was only compounded when I tried to reach my tutor to alleviate some of my fears but couldn’t get any answer for a week. Turned out that she was on Annual Leave. Fair enough. There is after all a pandemic. So I let it go. Keiran gave me a very convincing blurb about how the site was having some upgrades which is why the notice about my tutor going on leave wasn’t put up blah blah. Fair enough.
A week later I was furloughed and so I wrote an email saying I couldn’t continue as money is very tight etc. ( I have a mortgage and two children). This was his reply..,

Unfortunately, you are beyond your 14-day cooling off period. We can offer you one of the following three options:
· put your course on hold until you are ready to study – however you must continue with your payments.
· transfer you to another course of your choice
· transfer the course to another person of your choosing

If you are having problems with the payment amount, we can reschedule your payments over a longer period.

Let us know what you would wish to do.

After the 14-day cooling off period you are legally committed to the purchase. The company has incurred significant costs as a result of your enrolment on the course, not least of which is the payment to the tutor.

Failure to pay for your course will result in your account being passed to a debt recovery company and may affect your credit rating.

So I wrote back asking him to explain what correspondence I’d received stating my legal obligations and also a run down of “ costs incurred “ ( quite how the company had incurred costs was beyond me as I’d used an automated quiz -which to be quite honest any high school kid could program- , watched 3 videos from YouTube, received NO materials, one email from my tutor) and received no answers to either questions, just more emails trying to scam me into continuing payments - albeit reduced payments.
Keiran wasn’t interested in understanding my situation. His ONLY concern was to keep that money rolling in. Fair enough, he’s a business man. But be warned, that’s what he is first and foremost.
He’ll no doubt retort with some clever reply about how “ you wouldn’t return a pair of shoes after wearing them a week” “ we’ve got costs” “ I agreed to a contract” “ I was given a cool down period”
I was also accused of blackmailing saying that “ I threatened bad reviews unless my course and requests for payment were withdrawn “ ABSOLUTELY not true!!!( In fact I will be taking this up with a solicitor as a matter of slander). Here is exactly what I said: START I’ve been furloughed b you do realise that? I can’t afford ANY amount of money. And not just that, I’m unhappy with the service that you provided. My tutor was on annual leave and no notice was given. I’ve spoken to my tutor ONCE! I’ll be publishing these emails on Trustpilot and Facebook END

As yourself WHY the cool down period is only 2 weeks

I have only just started my A levels so can’t really comment on course content. However, every other provider that I tried to get into contact with in regards to questions and exams was completely unreliable. Either really lacking knowledge over web chat or not answering the phone. Was contacted straight away from absorb and couldn’t be more helpful. Have been in constant email contact when they were needed and knew what they were talking about.

I am doing my GCSE maths with Absorb and I am very happy with the content , tutor's help and I am regretting why I did not join before to them so I could finish my MATHS and join my nursing course earlier.

I'm quite happy with my experience and am enjoying my study time. However a couple of links that should be available to read have not been so,and some of the articles to read,such as regarding poverty I would have appreciated to be more up to date than they were,making them more relevant. I don't know if this is common,I haven't studied since 1995.

Absorb Online Learning has brought back the joy of learning for me! As a mature student, I had memories of loving literature and Absorb Online Learning has restored that love and enchantment that studying Literature (with the guidance of a great Tutor) holds. The Classics, Poetry Shakespeare and so on. This Literature course enabled me to return to narratives that I enjoyed whilst at school. My Tutor was wonderful in helping explain the meaning of the texts I studied. She also helped me to place them in the historical context, which enriched my learning. It also encouraged me to gain a deeper understanding of the various writers, in a new fresh and unique way. I thoroughly recommend 'Absorb Online Learning', as the teaching is excellent and the support and advice given is absolutely outstanding.

I had decided to de-register my 13 year old son from Secondary school in September 2020 during Covid, as he was unable to tolerate wearing masks at school due to suffering with asthma. Absorb on line learning has exceeded my expectations. I spoke with Bridgette who was very friendly and explained how it all worked. I initially signed up for IGCSE Maths & English. My son says he is learning way more than he was at school, as there are less distractions. I have just signed him up for a further 3 IGCSE in physics chemistry and biology. If you homeschool your child I would highly recommend Absorb On-line learning 100%. You will not regret it!

My experience with absorb has been extremely welcoming and useful. I am very excited to begin my learning and use the platform. One thing that immediately appealed me to absorb was that I was able to access the learning platform before I purchased which a lot of other A level providers couldn't do. All questions I had about the course were answered with detail and time was taken to make sure that the course was right for me. The Economics IGCSE course is truly dreadful and I regret having spent the money.

It's written in poor English, which makes it difficult to understand. There are plurals and apostrophes in all the wrong places. Some of it appears to have been written in pidgin English. There are so many sentences to choose from, but here is a little gem: "Better is the role of women in society, higher is the amount of labour". We should not have to try and decipher nonsense like this.

The diagrams are scruffy and hand-drawn by someone who was obviously in a hurry. Diagram 29 in Unit 5 explains precisely nothing. In fact, the whole of Unit 5 is a disgrace.

The layout of the entire course is visually incoherent and unattractive and looks as though it's been cooked up on a rainy afternoon.

Some of the videos are not helpful or explanatory and they've obviously just been lifted off YouTube. I could have done this myself. One of the videos consisted of two women talking in what sounds like a market or a factory. It was so difficult to hear what they were saying that I gave up. This is lazy and unprofessional and Absorb have got some front to take our money for it.

The chart on the dashboard showing students' progress has not worked for months.

I just tried to upload a Tutor Marked Assessment and...nothing happened. This course is a disgrace.

Nobody minds if they worked hard on the presentation and the occasional typo gets through, but this is a mess. Nobody has bothered to carry out any proof reading, nor has anyone attempted to make the course visually appealing or have a coherent or corporate feel. If I was in a position of authority at Absorb and this lazy, amateurish product was released to the public, there would be sackings. I would advise anybody not to waste their money on it.

I sent these complaints to the company and nothing has happened. Zero. Zilch. Don't bother, save your money.

Well explained courses with videos too. Tutors respond within 24hours . Excellent service
