Absolutely horrific service!!! I’m 7 and a half months pregnant and the amount of stress this company has caused me and my partner is completely unnecessary!! My partner is self employed and insures his van with them, a guy recently drove into the back of him 2 weeks ago now. He was supplied a replacement van to be able to work, however he started getting severe headaches and a bad neck, so went to the GP where he was put on medication for whiplash. He was never asked whether he could afford to pay for this replacement van they sent him however now he’s being asked to show bank statements from the last 3 months to prove he couldn’t pay for the replacement van. We also were told that the van has been deemed a total loss and they won’t repair it, however it’s still roadworthy, therefore tough!! My partner isn’t able to use the van as it is for work as the back door wont work at all which he uses all day everyday at work!! What service exactly we are paying for here is a mystery!! Every correspondence seems to suggest that this company aren’t capable of dealing with claims and retrieving the money owed by the other insurer!!! Incapable company!!! We will be warning all the van owners in work with my partner & any car owners we know to avoid this company at all costs!!!!! Cowboys!!!

Academy have been good with me for 5+ years. Recently had an absolute nightmare with them and they've been less than helpful. Tried to double my quote and i've cancelled the policy. I suspect they're under new management.
