Poor cleaning quality, cheating on pricing, customer service. Don't waste your time and money on this dodgy company.

The sale team overstated the quote, problem fixed when you communicated with the sales manager. 2 bond cleans with total $1200 and you end up cleaning both houses again by yourself as they did crap jobs. Customer services refuse to investigate and arrange reclean service under guaranteed policy regardless your estate agent sent through evidence of disqualified cleaning quality. Bonds clean but they don't clean the carpet and your estate agent ended up arranging another company to come and clean it at your expenses. Please use BCIC's services if you wish to deal with the same issues as we did.

For Job ID 62081, scheduled on 10th September, our team arrived at the appointed time and during the initial inspection, they noted several areas that required services outside the scope of a standard bond clean. These included:
Carpet steam cleaning
Wall washing
Mold removal in the shower
Outdoor area cleaning

As these services were not part of the quoted package, our team explained that they would require additional charges and time. We completely understand and respect your decision not to proceed with these extras.

We also acknowledge that there may have been some confusion regarding carpet steam cleaning. Please allow us to clarify that it is not included in the standard bond clean and must be booked separately. We regret if this was not made clear from the outset.

On 11th September, we received your re-clean request for mold in the shower, grout in the shower frame, and the outdoor areas including grass. While we absolutely understand the importance of these items, they do fall outside the scope of our standard bond clean, and as such, they are not covered under our re-clean guarantee. We understand this may have caused frustration, and we are truly sorry.

With regard to Job ID 62082, completed on 2nd September, we received a call on 10th September about concerns that the quoted hours may not have been fully utilised and that a re-clean was required. As the 7-day guarantee period had already expired on 9th September, we advised that a call-out fee would apply for any additional attendance.

In order to assist further and ensure we are fair in our approach, we kindly requested a list of specific issues along with images or the exit report from your property manager. On 15th September, you again raised your concern regarding the hours quoted, and we do understand why this feels important to you. However, we are still awaiting the requested documentation or images to enable us to review the matter thoroughly and work towards a constructive solution.

Mara, please know that our intention is not only to deliver a professional service but also to ensure that you feel heard and supported throughout this process. We genuinely want to resolve this fairly for you. To help us move forward, we kindly ask that you send the exit report and any relevant photos for Job 62082 to support@bcic.com.au at your earliest convenience. This will allow us to properly assess the situation and consider the most appropriate next steps.

Fantastic company

This company is fantastic. They did an end of lease clean for my son and from the very first contact they were great. Very fast at replying, great communication all through, very competitive price, honest and reliable. They also sent before and after photos. Bond Clean in Darwin City

I appreciate the punctuality of the cleaners and the confirmation of the clean. I also requested a change to the day of cleaning, which was easily accommodated. The price for a room at the Mantra was $540, which was the best price I could find, but the work was completed within a 4-hour period (Min. clean is 5 hours). I would have liked the tops of the air conditioners cleaned. The unit's cleaning met the requirements of my landlord and I received all of my Bond following the clean and inspection.

Absolutely horrible

Absolutely horrible. They were supposed to arrive between 9-9:30 am, but did not show up until 10. They came and inspected the place, saying that the apartment was in poor condition and that they would not have enough time to clean our balcony windows. I argued with them back and forth because our apartment was in fine condition, and all the marks/dust could be cleaned easily if they could just put a little effort in. I then told them I would clean the windows on the balcony because I was sick of arguing. I left at 11:30 am to go to Bunnings to purchase cleaning supplies for the windows, and when I returned at 12:30 pm, they had done nothing. I called them immediately, asking the cleaners where they were, and they said they were getting chemicals and would need another 15 minutes to return. They did not return until around 1:30 pm, and they should have had the chemicals with them in the first place. They started cleaning at 2, then told me that they would work longer for free and do a proper job. However, after two hours, and considering there were three of them, they stated that they were finished and that the place was clean. I immediately checked, and there were still marks on the wall, and they had not vacuumed the place properly. We had another argument going back and forth about them being unprofessional. They kept telling me that there was a bond-back guarantee, and so if the property manager says no on the report, they would come back and clean for free. My problem was that they first said they did not have enough time, and that's why I had to clean the windows outside. However, not only did they start late, but they also finished earlier than the time they told me they would finish( they told me they would finish at 5, but finished at 4:30). So, why couldn't they start earlier and clean the whole apartment (including the balcony, because that's what I paid for), and also do a decent job? I can still see marks on the wall and dust on the floor, and yet they refused to do it, constantly saying that if the property manager says no, then they will come back, when they could have cleaned it at that moment. When my partner questioned them, one of the cleaners said, "You must be the property manager, hey?" He said it in a sarcastic tone, and no professional should ever speak to a customer in such a manner. He then questioned the windows I was cleaning, and if my cleaning looks exactly like what theirs look like, they should be out of the industry. This was supposed to be spotless. They were supposed to be professional cleaners. They came in polos and thongs! How ridiculous is that! This company is the worst on the market, and PLEASE, DO NOT PAY THEM FOR YOUR BOND CLEAN! You can do a better job cleaning by yourself than hiring these so-called 'professional cleaners'. I basically cleaned half the apartment, and yet I paid them full price. So, for anyone who's seeing this, my advice is to go with the bond cleaners your real estate agent provided, so that they can be responsible and not you. And lastly, DO NOT GO WITH BCIC. HORRIBLE SERVICE. NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

-Our admin team had advised that cleaners would arrive between 9:30–9:45 am within the agreed window of 9:00–11:00 am. We apologise for the late start and the inconvenience this caused.

-Following discussion about the scope of work, the cleaners left to purchase additional chemicals to ensure better cleaning results. While this was intended to improve the outcome, we understand the delay caused further frustration.

-The booking was quoted for 8 hours. Please note that with 3 cleaners attending, the total hours are calculated as the number of cleaners multiplied by time spent. The team did spend more than the quoted hours, and the cleaners were willing to continue beyond this without extra charge to complete the job.

-Regarding conduct, we sincerely apologise for any unprofessional remarks or behaviour on the day. This is not the standard of service we expect from our team. Your feedback has already been shared with our Quality Team, and corrective action will be taken to ensure this does not happen again.

-We acknowledge that some areas, such as marks on the walls and dust on the floors, were not completed to the expected standard. While our bond-back guarantee covers re-cleaning based on the property manager’s exit report, we understand your concern that these issues should have been addressed during the initial visit. Please note, the guarantee allows 7 days from the service date to provide the exit report, which was included with your booking.

We are genuinely sorry for the inconvenience and stress this caused during your move. Please be assured that your feedback has been escalated internally so improvements can be made.

I am reporting this organization

I booked a full bond clean, and my experience has been extremely disappointing:

The first cleaner arrived late, spoke no English, and completed maybe 25% of the job.

They returned later, but the job was still incomplete, the property failed the inspection.

A re-clean was arranged, but the cleaner never showed up, despite being aware of the appointment (I have text proof).

I requested a refund, but it was refused, and now communication has stopped entirely.

I had to hire another company and pay again just to get the property cleaned properly.

I urge anyone who’s had a similar experience to take action:

Lodge a bank dispute for services not delivered

Submit a complaint to Fair Trading Queensland

Report misleading practices to Google

Fair Trading Queensland has the authority to investigate, mediate disputes, and, in serious cases, take businesses to court if they breach consumer laws.

No one else should have to go through this. Sharing your experience and lodging complaints can help hold them accountable and protect others.

-Initial Service & Concerns: The bond clean was completed, however, a list of concerns was raised. In response, a re-clean was requested, which we agreed to arrange.

-Written Acceptance of Re-clean Scope: A list of areas was provided which was requiring attention and we received written acceptance to proceed. A re-clean was then scheduled based on those areas.

-Additional Requests for reclean with (Grout & Mould): After the inspection then the final exit report was shared which was different from the initial list, further requests were also made to include grout and mould cleaning. We informed that these items were outside the standard bond clean inclusions and would normally be charged additionally. However, due to the inconvenience you experienced, we shared the inclusion list and awaited your confirmation before proceeding for reclean.

-Re-clean Appointment: Our records indicate that the re-clean was pending confirmation to ensure alignment with the inclusion list. We did not receive final confirmation, which delayed attendance. We sincerely apologise if this caused the impression that our cleaners did not show up as expected.

-Refund Request: As per our terms and conditions, a re-clean opportunity must be provided before a refund can be considered. Since the re-clean could not be carried out without confirmation, a refund could not be issued.

We truly regret that this has left you dissatisfied and feeling unsupported. It was never our intention for the process to cause further inconvenience.

⭐☆☆☆☆ I wish I could give ZERO stars

This was hands down the WORST end-of-lease clean I’ve ever experienced. The job was not even completed, yet they had the audacity to try and upsell me for cleaning blinds I had already paid for. When I arrived at the property, the actual cleaner was nowhere to be seen—just his sons, who had NO idea what was going on or why I was being charged more. Completely unprofessional.

After waiting nearly half an hour, the cleaner finally turned up and gave a completely different excuse—now claiming it was about a "walk-in robe" instead. Funny how the story keeps changing. He promised everything would be done within the original timeframe. It wasn't.

What I walked into was a joke. The place was in WORSE condition than when I handed it over. It honestly looked like barely anything had been cleaned at all. I ended up spending 3 hours of my own time fixing their mess, just so it wouldn’t be a total embarrassment.

To top it off, when I asked for a refund, they refused—despite the fact I had to clean the property myself after paying them to do it. Their response? "Hand the keys back and we'll only return if the real estate agent complains." Are you serious?

And here's the kicker: they record phone calls without telling you. That’s not just shady, it's potentially illegal. This entire company is dodgy, dishonest, and an absolute nightmare to deal with.

**Avoid this company like the plague. Save yourself the stress and go with literally anyone else.**

Rangehood left without cleaning

I booked a bond clean and was really disappointed with the result. The rangehood was left oily and sticky, and it’s clear it wasn’t cleaned properly. Since then, I’ve been trying to contact the company, but no one is getting back to me. Very unprofessional service and lack of follow-up.

We would like to clarify that the cleaning service was completed on 4th August, which included a 7-day service guarantee. This guarantee allows any concerns to be raised promptly so they can be addressed at no additional cost. Unfortunately, the issue was brought to our attention on 26th August, which is outside the guarantee period. As a result, a complimentary re-clean cannot be provided.

That said, we remain committed to resolving the issue. A cleaner can return to address the rangehood; however, a call-out fee would apply. If you would like to proceed, we would be happy to arrange a convenient time for the visit.

The cleaners arrived on time, they handled the job professionally, and in the end even went above and beyond to ensure that they left the premises cleaner than when they had arrived

Warning: Deceptive Conduct – Do Not Use This Cleaning Service

Originally quoted $680. They insisted on advance payments, then demanded another $200 on the day for "extras." The job failed inspection, was poorly re-cleaned, and we eventually had to hire a separate cleaner to do the job properly. Total outlay:~$1,500.

After weeks of back-and-forth, they agreed to a partial refund, then only paid a portion and stopped replying.

Online, there are hundreds of similar complaints: upselling, unfinished work, ghosting, and refusal to refund. This is not an isolated issue — it’s a repeat pattern of behaviour.

They operate under multiple names:

ABN 63 706 352 486 – The Trustee for BCIC TRUST trading as 'Better Hub'

ACN 607 393 966 – BCIC Services Pty Ltd
Registered office is Surfers Paradise.

They're banking with ANZ (Ashmore).

If you’ve had a similar experience, report it to Fair Trading, ACCC, their bank (ANZ), and AFCA. Help stop others from being ripped off.

• “Queensland Fair Trading complaint form”
• “AFCA make a complaint”

This is bigger than one bad job. There's a systemic issue here and it needs attention.

Very happy with my experience

I felt a bit pressured into booking and paying on the spot when I first called up to get a quote. I was offered a 10% discount to put my deposit down straight away but that didn't actually end up being 10% 🤣

But that's ok, I'm very happy with the service, communication and great price.

I spent a few hours cleaning my house a couple of days before the cleaner Javier came in. Javier was on time, polite, courteous, and he did a wonderful job getting my house perfect for me so that I could get a full bond refund.

I recommend this company, and I will happily use them again for future spring cleans of the house I've just bought.
