Good treatment, poor admin
They quickly came back and made a clear limited offer of the free private treatment I could get The consultant I got was top notch. His recommendations have improved my cardiac symptoms. However the administration by Benenden and the private hospital was defective Benenden gave incorrect advice on booking an appointment and the consultant’s admin didn’t reply to emails Impossible to get full information on costs

I made a GP telephone appointment on line. The doctor telephoned promptly on time. She explained the results of an X-ray of my lower back and hips. Then advised what further action to take. I was very pleased with the discussion.

Fixed me when I would have been waiting years.
I have Benenden cover provided by my employer. At first I was cynical about the reasons for this, but my recent hernia operation was done within a few months when it would have been two years with my local NHS. Indeed, while counting down to the day of my surgery I received a letter from my local hospital suggesting I wasn’t actually on a waiting list at all. By this time I was restricted in the work I could do, so to say I’m happy with my Benenden cover is an understatement. I’m now going to add my family members too.
