Very Disappointed. Zero score. Haven't had time to check the law but close to routine mis-selling of retinal examinations. Mid August 26 I arranged an eye test at Coventry, Daventry Road. Clerk/ Receptionist was routinely offering a 3 choices of retinal examination up to £50 (observed with other customers). I went for the £50 as had previous retinal tear went through it and waited for feedback from her...none... and later from ophthalmologist.... again none. After he'd said we were finished I reminded him I had had the retinal examination. He clearly hadn't seen/checked it and was evidently surprised I'd gone for the £50 "Ultimate". I gave me some feedback... but this was purely by chance. Not impressed, wrote late that month to Customer care at Nottingham and got a reply with link to some FAQs and a reference number! No contact back since despite my reminders and evidently no investigation. Rival Opticians nearby offer same retinal examinations at less than half price and only offer the higher examination on Ophthalmologist's recommendation.

I would NEVER trust my eyesight care to anyone else. Even though I no longer live in the area - I return to this branch without fail.

The staff were very helpful, polite and professional however the computer system needs upgrading as there was an issue with the frames I was ordering.

Had a booked appointment. I am 82 years old. When I arrived I was told that they could not guarantee that NHS would pay for my eye test. I walked out. They should not have made the appointment in the first place. I had to walk there with an injured foot. I do not recommend Boots Opticians.

I have been a customer of Boots Opticians for many years now but was very disappointed with the Service provided by the Boots Contact Lens Scheme where all the lens provided for my right eye over a 9 month period had the same expiry date. Consequently I am going to throw away over £50 worth of unused lens. I took it up with them but they were just not interested so I shall be changing Opticians for my eye test which is now due.

Boots itchy & watery eye drops is a very bad product and not only didn’t help to the dryness it made it worst and so red and give me burning sensation.

BOOTS 7/10/26 PRESCRIPTION GLASSES PAYED £290.76 RETURNED HOME TO FAMILY MAJOR PROBLEM WHICH NEEDED MONEY FAST SO RANG BOOTS HOURS LATER FOR REFUND EXPLAINED PROBLEM HAD TO WAIT TO MAKE SURE ORDER WAS STILL CLEAR YES NO PROBLEM CAN YOU POP IN WITH CARD ETC SO WENT IN YESTERDAY GOT RECEIT FOR REFUND ETC TOLD AT TIME OF ORDER WILL BE 10DAYS AT LEAST ANYWAY YESTERDAY GOT EMAIL SORRY WE CANNOT REFUND DUE TO GLASSES BEEN PREPAIRED/ HANG ON WE RANG ONLY HOURS AFTER PURCHASED THERE IS NO WAY THAT ORDER COU BEEN MADE THEY WAITED A FEW DAYS SO THEY COULD SAY GLASSES WHERE IN PROGRESS OF BEEN CONSTRUCTED THAT IS SO CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE WELL IT WILL COST BOOTS A LOT MORE THAN REFUND IF THAT IS THERE SERVICE. FRIENDS AND FAMILY ARE NOW SWITCHING THERE OPTICIAN TO SPECSAVERS WHICH IS A LOT MORE FUTURE TRADE GONE ALL THROUGH REFUND WE ALSO SAID WE WOULD POP IN NEXT MONTH AND THEN REPAY AND ORDER PRESCRIPTION

So at the end of June purchased a pair of glasses and over three months later still haven’t received the advantage card points. The store said go to customer services, customer services said go to the store, the email address provided doesn’t exist or no-one can be bothered to respond. Now considering trading standards - absolutely ridiculous and poor customer service. Avoid this company

The Boots Harlequin Opticians team is polite, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. They always put the customer first, in my experience.

Very good optometrist (Signe) and optical assistant, who very patiently helped me choose my new glasses. He explained the options well and was very patient.

My husband had an eye test today at Boots opticians in Barnsley...we were welcomed by Simon assistant manager who was one of the nicest people we have ever met !!! He explained all about the different frames ..lenses etc picked frames that would suit his face and told us facts that have never been explained to us at any of our previous opticians and we have both been wearing glasses for years !!!....also a big shout to Reena the lady who performed my husband's eye exam ...he said she was really lovely and explained everything so clearly.So we are so glad we chose Boots opticians for our eye health....both Simon and Reena are a credit to Boots opticians and the Barnsley store.Thank you !!!

From walking in the door to leaving both people I dealt with were very polite ,professional and friendly…….Dee was very helpful with my initial exam and Mohammed shebul miah my optometrist was very polite and thorough Dee helped me choose my new glasses and I left very happy

The staff were brilliant. Alice, Roney, Ann and Lucy. The optician detected and referred me for cataracts and Roney treated my eyes for blepharitis. Everyone was helpful, polite, professional and and happy. They deserve 5-stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had my appointment today at london colney , was refused to be seen as i reached 5 mins late on opticians desk. I was at boots on time , took me time to locate optician area.
