The Salisbury branch has always been good but their new optician, Shauna, is a delight. Making things feel simple and explaining at every step.

My Experience with the opticians at the west Bridgford shop has left me very angry and upset. I’m a eighty two year old I went to have my eyes tested on the 14th August and they would be ready on the 27th it’s been eight weeks and I haven’t received them I have complained but to no avail. I will never use them again.

I visited your Sevenoaks branch to sort out new glasses and I was very impressed with the service I received. Chris was very helpful and patient, advising me as to the best design and explaining which frames would be most suitable for the prescribed lens. I look forward to collecting my new glasses soon. Thank you Chris

Management is extremely unprofessional, making promises/commitment, more than once, and not keeping them. And not even calling a single time to explain or apologise. Not a good experience.

I was seen very quickly after reporting an eye issue at Boots opticians in Livingston. All of the staff were excellent and the optician (Sara?) was comprehensive, taking time to explain things. Thanks for this service.

The optician was lovely. Didn’t rushed me. I have complex health needs, explained everything, treated like I mattered not just someone that pays their bill.

Dropped in on Friday to discuss floaters in my eye I have had since June. Due to length of time was advised to get them checked out. They phoned 30 mins later with appt for next day. Got them checked out. All fine eye health good. Just have to live with them. Alice the optometrist, and Jasmin the eye technician were friendly, helpful and very professional. Can’t fault this service

I attended the eye test on the day and also looked for a new pair of glasses. Zahraa and Nubah have been very patient and nice to help me out. They are very kind and professional.

Went there again 2 weeks later for contact lens trial review and met 2 other staff - Enaam and Jose - again they were very patient and nice to support me and explain everything to me during the eye test, and later when I was trying to get the prescribed eye drops. Thank you so much team!

Yes another day Saturday 3.10.26 and boots in Acocks green is closed again if not Monday then It's Saturday but according to the opening hours on the window and there website they are open not very good customer service open/closed when they want and not when there office want.SHIT customer service.

avoid this place. Really poor experience from start to finish. I was sent here by the St James Quarter opticians to get Oakley prescription sunglasses. On my first visit, I was left standing there for about 10 minutes while a member of staff basically ignored me before deciding to help. I should have taken that as a warning. I eventually got the glasses ordered and was told everything was fine. A week or so later I got a call saying I couldn’t have the lenses I’d picked with the glasses I’d chosen, so I had to go back and choose different ones. Did that, then another week later I got another phone call saying those lenses couldn’t be fitted either, so I had to go back again. Then, on my third visit, I’m finally told that the Oakley frame I had chosen apparently couldn’t be made with my prescription. My prescription is single vision, so hardly anything unusual. Rather than taking any responsibility for the fact that nobody had apparently checked this properly before taking my order, I was told it was the factory’s fault, then the manufacturer’s fault, and that I’d need to get my prescription refined. No proper apology, no real attempt to help me find another pair, just excuses and another problem for me to sort out. I’ve now wasted weeks and made multiple trips to the store because they couldn’t get something as basic as checking the compatibility of a frame, lenses and prescription right at the start. And here’s the ridiculous part: I put my prescription into an online prescription sunglasses retailer afterwards, selected the same type of Oakley sunglasses and had absolutely no problem placing the order. Things not being available is one thing, but having a customer come back repeatedly because nobody seems to know what’s actually possible, followed by blaming the factory and manufacturer, is completely different. The whole experience has been a waste of my time and the customer service has been terrible. avoid this place. I certainly won’t be using Boots Opticians again.
