Was skeptical seeing the reviews but ordered with them through NZSale and will say they did great. Did take a little longer to arrive but they were great and professional abt it, found it was an issue with NZPost not them. They dispatched my order the next day after ordering and took 5 days to be in Wellington. Would 100% use again

Took my money, none of the contact details work, so I was unable to ask what was happening with my order. Then after 18 days said they cannot fill the order, said would refund but not received and no way of contacting them. Avoid Avoid Avoid

Never purchase a Mobile Phone via Buy Mobile NZ from DickSmith's Online Store!

I bought a high-end foldable phone for Christmas. It arrived in good time from Australia to New Zealand. However, within two weeks of owning the phone, the internal screen started playing up to the point that it became unusable.
I contacted the Buy Mobile NZ to get the phone fixed or replaced. I was told I had to send it back to Australia at my expense so they could examine it. Before sending the phone, I sent pictures of the phone to illustrate that it was not damaged and that there was a problem with the internal screen.
I followed up two weeks after sending the phone because I had not heard anything. A couple of days later, I was told I had caused the damage to the phone, and they attached some pictures of a phone that was clearly in a different state (damaged) from the one I had sent.
When I resent the original pictures of the damage, I was told that their study had shown that an impact (there was absolutely no physical damage to the phone before sending it back to Australia) had caused the internal screen to malfunction.
They offered to find out how much it would cost to fix it and got the following reply:

We have checked this with our technician, they got a quote for the part however it was too expensive as it is between $800-$1000 (AUD)

Please let us know if you would like to proceed with the repair, otherwise we can send the device back to you so you can also check other options at your local repair centre.

The communication with the Buy Mobile NZ has been poor. It takes days to hear back from them, and at times, if I hadn’t followed up with them, I’m not certain I would have heard back at all. Answers are short, with missing information, and no consideration for facts about the phone's condition before reaching Australia was ignored (despite photos showing there was no damage).

The result is that after purchasing a phone for $2,595.43 (NZD), I am being asked to spend another $1,000.00 (AUD) to fix a problem that was not caused by my actions.

After this experience, I will NEVER be buying anything from DickSmith again and would encourage others to do the same.

Paid for two Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra Tablets. After 10 days they emailed saying they only had them in beige not graphite, so I said that was fine - please ship them. In the end after quite a few emails, and 4 weeks and 5 days of waiting with promises of contacting distribution dept and getting information on when products would be sent, I finally gave up and got a refund. I see from other reviews that this is not uncommon. This is really not acceptable practice, and was a huge waste of time and energy - why list products for sale that you obviously don't have in stock!?!?! I would recommend other people to avoid the lure of buymobiles lower prices - and buy from someone who actually has the product - or be prepared for a potentially eternal wait for nothing.

Great prices on the website, but the goods were never delivered. When I followed up, the customer support team reassured me three separate times that they were working hard to get it sorted - both my stars are for that team. Sadly, their supplier-warehousing process is obviously broken. After waiting 5 weeks, I asked them to cancel and refund me. That bit, they did promptly and efficiently. (I was not charged a cancellation fee.) I agree with earlier reviews that the failure to declare they supply from Australia is a red flag.

After 15 days of placing the order, still waiting for them to dispatch the order. Customer care replies fairly quickly but they are based in Australia I guess. I saw they use After Pay so seems trustworthy. Boy! I was wrong. The customer care person requests me to wait for a few days every time I write an email. I've requested multiple times to cancel the order but nothing has been done yet.

Just steer clear of this Website if you live in NZ.

OMG I wish I had read the reviews. This company is TERRIBLE. They sell you cheap older product, I suspect seconds, and then when the items break, they refuse to do anything about it and tell you you have to go to the Manufacturer to get the item fixed. They have NO understanding or care of New Zealand or Australian consumer law. They just want to take your money and provide NO customer service. DO NOT BUY from them. Read the reviews.

brought my son a mobile phone on the 21 may, throught HUMM, didn't think twice...I trusted HUMM after still not receiving in 2 weeks later I contacted buymobile, apparently didn't have in stock, so they upgraded the order. nearly 2 weeks and still nothing, I contacted aramex to find out where the item was, no help, they stopped dealing with amamex, rang the phone number given, number doesn't exist. Next best thing I rang HUMM to find out my options, they are cancelling my order.

worste place to buy a phone from absaulute waste of time i highly recomned any other company!!!!!! also if you want to cancell your order after getting sick of waiting for it to get sent or a tracking number they charge you $50

I ordered a watch which I was not happy with.
The return policy was poor with communication and then gave me a HUGE list of criteria to return. PLUS a 20% restocking fee.
I shop online all the time. NEVER have I had this experience.

they operate from Hong Kong, therefore are not bound to the NZ consumer guarantees act. Dont buy from this site.

I had problem with a Nikon camera bought from them. It was covered under the Consumer Guarantee act. They were slow to respond to e mails (no phone number) they didn't respond to emails regarding the repair after all the information they requested was emailed to them.
I consulted Consumer NZ who agreed it was covered by the Consumer Guarantee act ; didnt perform according to advertised by Nikon;
products or services are not reasonably fit for a particular purpose

They are based in Hong Kong, which isnt on their web site. AND they arent registered as a business in NZ, despite appearing to be with the .co.nz .

I bought a smartwatch, and I needed a repair in Warranty. I sent my product to they in May 2020, and we are in Dec 2020, and nobody answer me about my smartwatch. They STOLEN my product.

Using this shopping site was with no exaggeration one of the biggest mistakes I have and will have made and I would not reccommend this site to anyone else.
First the service is ridiculous, there is no phone number so the only way to reach them was via email which also was terribly slow. They had sent me the wrong item from what I ordered and wanted a refund. I had to chase them for months to even get a reply and even though it was not my fault or mistake they were rude and would not even listen to my issue and the mistake THEY had made. It was a situation wher I had to spen more money to send back the wrong item to get a refund. And from the way they had acted I wasnt even sure if I was going to get my money back because all it seemed to me was they are scammers. I am definitly not the type to waste my time and energy with people who aren’t worthy of but I would not want anyone else going through the same issue as I did.

Brought a $1300 phone. Day 1 upon receiving it I turn it on install updates and it has a fualt. I tried to make a claim for it to be fixed, replaced or refunded. They tell me its due to an app I have installed and to do a reset. I do the reset and don't install any apps and still the same thing. After 3 weeks of back and fourth emails they have just flat out stopped replying. Will have to get lawyers involved

In short, don't buy.

Note that phones are not locally supplied (or even from Australia), they come from the country of origin. This means long shipping times.
In my case the phone had some bad lines, this meant a potential $55 NZD shipping cost to send the phone back for replacement. Not worth it for the phone i bought so I live with the faults.

Buy from a shop or proper local company.
