Spoke to a consultant last week around updating my banking details as I totally forgot to update for debit order to go off, made contact and change was done quick, I then tried findout about the camera for the car asking the consultant how much extra it will be she told me R99 I was ok cool did the calculations I figured it's to much as I am already on 255 with panic button n roadside assistant she proceed to tell me why don't I take the camera cancel the button n it will bring it to R300 I agreed n signed up only to findout a day later they actually charging me 350 and it will be a monthly installment mind you the button was already canceled again called to cancel cz I might as well stay with the old one n pay less and just get me a camera for the car they already deducted the 350 putting my account in arears speaking to the call center is just another mission on its own they can't explain anything properly they say they going to do one thing but don't do it God don't get me started on the whatsapp they simply just don't give a crap about customer service only person who gave me good service is simphiwe Ngcobo whom actually said my surname right, east has horrible customer service and the whatsapp people refuse to tell me who I am talking to to avoid getting there names shamed. Super bad service I feel like canceling this service but they lock u in to a cancel fee of 2650 really horrible as I type this now I still didn't get a response on whatsapp they mislead u and still become very stropy and provide shit service wow

The worst experience ever!! Guys please dont go with car track! They are quick to sell you things, but nobody assists you, keeps transferring you. They are a bunch of untrained unprofessional people that will frustrate the hell out of you. You have been warned!

Cartrack is bad I paid them the money I was owing them but they keep saying it doesn't appear and it's been a month plus, I even sent them proof of payment I contacted my bank to trace the money they confirmed it's out . I don't know if they doing this cz I canceled the contract with them or what .This is too much . I would advise to stay away.

Firstly they installed the incorrect system, even after me asking for clarification. Then they rescheduled a fitment for today. I was to travel to Mpumalanga but postponed because of the scheduled refitmen. An hour after the appointment time, I called Cartrack to find out what's the problem. "Oh sorry we did not have a technician available". Why not contact your so-called valued client and mention that? You called and confirmed the installation this morning!!! Seriously suggest go elsewhere because I am still in the dark as to what's going on.

I was told just now that if I want the technician to come and fix the cartrack device issues in my car them
I must pay R600😭, but there is an additional R30 they said I must pay for maintenance, now I'm told that the R30 was for out of warrant, iyoh such stress.
I just shared with my colleagues here at work and they are telling me the same story, what a trap I got myself into.
I LATER SUGGESTED THAT THEY REMOVE THEIR DEVICE INSTEAD OF MAINTAINING IT SINCE IT'S DRAINING MY BATTERY. THEY SAID IF THEY COME TO ME I MUST PAY R600 BUT IF I GO TO THEM IT'S GOING TO BE FREE OF CHARGE.
I THEN ASKED IF THERE'S ANY BRANCH NEAR WHERE I STAY THEY SAID I MUST GO TO THEIR BRANCH THAT'S FAR FROM WHERE I STAY WHEREAS THERE'S A BRANCH NEARBY, LOL, WHAT A JOKE.

Bad report system, no further advance filter option. Outdated features. Most of their GPS devices battery bloated it's dangerous and our equipment wiring harness short circuited damaged, very poor level of customers Care. Finally removed and terminated service.

On October 3, 2024, Cartrack with their incompetent accounts department failed to debit the full monthly payment of R219, instead taking only R129 despite having sufficient funds in my account.
The next day, a consultant called demanding payment of the "outstanding" R90. When questioned, she hung up.
On October 6, Cartrack sent a threatening message:
- Disconnecting of services
- Withholding theft coverage
After sending them a WhatsApp message about this, they resubmitted the debit order for October 7, incurring additional bank fees for a debit order resubmission I never requested.
This is the second time this has happened (previously in September). When I requested cancellation due to their failures, they demanded an outrageous cancellation fee of over R2000.
Cartrack accounts department is bloody useless!!!!!!

Cartrack are scammers, stay away from these crooks, i cancelled one of my vehicles which i sold, they first said, pay R870 for removing the unit, which i did and they keep the unit or pay R2600 and the unit remains in the vehicle, now they say i got to pay the R2600, after much arguing i decided to pay it, now they come back for third time and say i got to pay another R1000 ontop of that for a back up unit. I mean what the Hell??? These thieves need to be reported to the consumer council. They are ripping people off....

I am not happy at all, I called to ask Cartrack to check the location of my car and whether the device is still working and I was told they could not see it. So they will send someone to look at it. All of a sudden I am told I owe R600, which I was never told about and unwilling to pay because I was initially never told about it. :( :(
I’m beyond disappointed I regret changing to this tracker. A few weeks ago someone from car tracker called me offering the road side assistance he didn’t mention that it would come as an extra cost to my normal installment to me it sounded like it was an offer that car tracker is offering for all their lady customers.When I saw the new Debi check of R243 I didn’t accept it.I called them and explained that it wasn’t explained to me that this will be an extra cost can they please cancel it, I was told I need to pay a cancellation fee of R50 of which it was debited on my account and then came the debit order day they still took the R243 installment of which number 1 I didn’t accept on debit check number two I already paid cancellation fee for. Every day a different person calls me and I have to explain the same story over and over again but no one is assisting with solving it. A solid zero for me I wish I never left beame tracker for this horrible service.

Dear cartrack will you please be reasonable and sensible. About 6weeks ago you installed a faulty unit on my bike and I struggled calling and emailing to get this rectified & only now your people started calling me and offering to come and fix "a new device that hasn't been used" for R650 ontop of that you requesting me to pay R1700 for the unit how stupid do you people think I am???? You have debited R500 already and yet you havent rendered me any of your services..Let's be reasonable I run a business too and I would never do this nonsense to anyone but tell you what Im gonna make 4 reviews everyday till you act like humans. So now if you get your way that means I would have paid R2500 for a tracking unit???? This is sick!!!

Cartrack is useless but very quick to double bill. After I saw the triple payment going off I phoned them. I got a "we apologize for the inconvenience and the money will be refunded in 14 to 21 working days". What the fck. 2 minutes to take but a month to give back. Ridiculous. That is were it stayed. Month and half later still nothing. Phoned them agian and I got the same we apologize. A bunch of bull sh"t is all we get everytime one calls them. So glad I canceled and went elsewhere.

Had Car track installed on 13 September 2024. Downloaded the app, phoned customer care for help on how to use the app. The consultant giggled and said its self explanatory. I told her I did not know how to use the app and she asked what I wanted to know, I told her I wanted to view a live location of my car as I was told with the contract that I am paying for I would have cameras installed and it would show the exact location of where my car is. She then gave me an address as to where my car was, I told her it was incorrect as the car is with me at my work address, she asked when last did I drive the car. She then says that she has to reboot the system and I need to drive the car for about 5ks and phone her back. I told her that I was concerned that my car could not be located now so how would they locate my car in the event of theft and she could not answer me. I told her I wanted to cancel the contract as it was of no use paying for a product that doesnt work and she says that I will have to pay R2650.00. So I said I will downgrade to the lowest package and she says I will have to pay R300 for the downgrade...what nonsense. At the time of selling the product they are very convincing but when it comes to deliver they do not keep to their promise.

I got car track installed in my car in the begining of the year i started my car before install all was well and runnig like a dream
after my install my car had a loud knock on start the car track tec response was we always have a prob with VW with out checking the cause thy left the car like that . My wife calls me at work and tels me she cant come to fetch me becouse of the knock she is afraid to break down on the road i had to take a bolt from work to home 33 kl .when i got home i started the car same knock
i called car track thy loggd a ticket and thas where it stayed
i started the car again same knock i left the car to idle after about 20 min the knock stopped ,lovely took the car around the block only to see it does not change gears automaticly i have to change it on my steering wheel reported it again no luck no feedback it was just left like that
I drowve the car like that its my only transport a month after that my wifre dropped met at work went home at 3 o clock the called me told me the car does not want to start i took a bolt home again got home turned on the car on enjn light
i got a mecanic out to come and take a look he found my ECU blew o lovely
after replaceing the ecu and got all the new codeing done the car started
dove still nog automtic gears
drove the car for about 2 month just to have another breakdown all 4 my injectors blew
now car track want to call about my account but did nothing to take a look at the reported issue no i have about R55 000 damage on the car

Extremely disappointed with the service at car track. I have been with car track for 3 months and it has been a horrific experience. Today I was called 13 minutes after a car watch alert. In 13 minutes my car could have already been taken. I've asked my this matter to be accelated many times but up till now have not received any feedback. I was told on Sunday that someone will call me at 2pm on Monday to deal with my matter, up till now I have received no call. Absolutely terrible service. I do not feel safe nor is my vehicle safe.

They installed their device on my car 2 months back.A day after the installation smoke started to come out of the dashboard as I was driving. And a fire broke out.I immediately contacted them because I was blaming their unit,My car had zero issues and faults.They sent their technician and he said it was not their device which started the fire as it was still intact.They did not want us by the car when they were doing their investigations.
The following day I took the car for repairs.After 3 weeks the car came back .I have been driving it for about 2 weeks now just to see if there is any problems.I then contacted them last week to come connect their device since they had said they had disconnected it.To get the appointment was difficult
Their technician was always canceling.When he finally came he said the tracking device is not there.I got a call from their office saying I must pay for the new device and and I must pay for Call Out.I refused.The car caught fire a day after they installed their device.I am still convinced it's ther device which caused the fire.The car went for repairs, I do not know where their device is.The technicians which came to investigate were supposed to take out the device since the car was going for repairs and the dashboard and wires was burned.I did not even see their tracking device,The auto electrical did not see the device.But now I must pay for it and their Call Out

PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CAR TRACK! I’ve been fighting Cartrack for 3 months for messing up my car! They pathetic & unprofessional! PLEASE! There are better car trackers out there! No one in their call centre does their jobs! Don’t bother with them. You’ll waste your time & you might lose something off your car. Good luck if you choosing them for business

Definetely have lost all trust on these guys.
The service is pathetic on minor things I cant imagine should I have a real issue.
Their response time is a few days so definetely if your car gets stolln thats enough time to never recover it. Theres also so many t&c's around the recovery warranty so...
I called in to cancel/opt of the extra R400 charge for extended warranty which initially when you sign up its said to be included in the fee but actually only for 3 years then all the sudden you must pay extra for the exteded warranty, I was reassured and rechecked with finance that they had not put in the R400 debit. Behold few days later there goes a debit of R560, the watsapp line is pathetic it sends auto messages that they will respond in working hours and each time someone picks up they ask you how can they help you over and over agai just to FRUSTRATE you and give up on your refund.

Car tracker is very bad company they are scammers , I lost my job with no income I sold the. Car that had car tracker to start a business I called them to cancel the debit order , they said I must pay R2000 I said I don’t have that money coz I’m not working they said if I’m not working then I should pay the cancellation fees , I paid cancellation fees , 3 months ago today they took my money from my account since I canceled the contract why they’re still stealing my money ? I would like to recommend everyone who bought new car batter not install car tracker they’re scammers , they don’t have good service at all , one week ago my brother lost his car they charged him R10K to recover the car , until today not found the car but they took that R10K and eat it !
Please if you are new wishing to install tracker don’t ever fall for. Car tracker ! Is scamming company in South Africa !
