After shopping around, the representative from Closetsbydesign (Deborah Michael) was an ACE and came up with a plan to provide us with ample space for our clothing and 60 pairs of shoes. She drew out the new space, and it looked fantastic. The morning of the install, my husband said he could not believe they could make more space. Our installer, Juan Zaragoza was on time, reviewed the plans with us and started on the Master Closet. I must say, Juan is a hard worker and would say he is a Master Class Installer. We waited until he was done to look at everything. SPEACHLESS AND AMAZING are the only words we can use to describe our joy.

We had an excellent experience with Closets By Design. Heidi Nash worked with us to build the perfect closet. It took months for us to make a decision;
Heidi was always available. She offered additional ideas that gave us more direction while working with-in our budget. I would highly recommend Closets By Design.
After the design was completed David came to our home and built the closet. He built it accurately and didn’t hesitate to ask us if he had questions. He was fantastic, very professional and knowledgeable. I am glad we chose Closets By Design.

Everything was explained well and she listened to our needs. She presented us a very well designed closet plan.

I just wanted a simple rod and 2 shelves across the entire double closet. I was told the shelves were adjustable as was the rod that held the hanging clothes and the shelf depth was 16". I was hoping for 20" to 22" but I could only get 16" as the closet depth would not accommodate 24". OK I go with 16". When installed, not only are the shelves NOT 16", but only one shelf is adjustable. The very top is a set piece for stability, I get that. But the shelf over the rod is also a set piece. The rod itself is adjustable, but why would you lower it when you cannot lower the shelf as well? I'm disappointed. I should have gotten different quotes from other companies to see what they could do; however, CBD had a sale and I went for it.

We had amazing experience with our designer today ! Very professional, efficient, knowledgeable and understood our needs quickly.

They came to measure, and never followed up! Never heard back from anyone lol very strange to come and measure and not provide a quote.

The master bedroom closet came out well, but the installation crew made a mess of my walls when filling in the previous screw holes from the old closet. Instead of just filling the hole with spackle, they made a couple of inch wide repair for a 1/4 inch hole requiring professional help to repair every one of more than thirty holes with texture and paint. The Orlando franchise manager explained that it was in the contract to do a rough repair but this mess they made of the walls was not necessary. Some of the drywall anchors were still in the wall partially sticking out. Totally unnecessary and nothing but aggravation reporting the issue to the company who thinks this is the way it should be done. This is not what you would expect from an expensive nationwide company.

I have never had a worse experience with a company before. The process was flawed from the very beginning and Closets By Design admits it. They know their designer/sales guy measured wrong, didn't take water lines into account and changed the design without my consent and told me via text message--so incredibly unprofessional. I got a sketch on graph paper and that is what they think is sufficient for a $6k install. Why don't they use CAD? I should have seen a rendering at the minimum.
I paid for a product that was not what I designed, and they have offered no way of making it right. The design was so flawed the installers had to build a faux wall to make it work and in doing so took up 18" of precious space. I will never work with this company again and wish had read some of these reviews before committing to them; I highly discourage you from working with this company, Aaron and Nick in sales/install specifically.
The only good part was the guys that actually installed the flawed design and did the best with what they had-- talk about making lemonade from lemons.
If you are unwise enough to do project with these people (DON'T) make sure Aaron is not your sales person and make sure that CJ and Jonathon are you installers. CJ and Jonathon were wonderful, the only acceptable part of this process and company.

We had a mediocre experience with Closets by Design, Niagara office. Our salesperson had visions of grandeur that, when it came right down to it, didn’t work great with the angled wall in our closet, and required some very creative measurement adjustments from two installers on two dates two weeks apart plus additional cuts, materials and fandangling to finally get a finished product. For the $3500 we spent, in all honesty we’d not use them again. It was a TON of money for what we got, for the kind of materials used. We can’t say enough good things about the installers. But not one apology for the inconvenience from the office managers, no offers of any free upgrades for the trouble, not a word. That, to us, smacked of unprofessionalism. And certainly no word from our salesperson who was made aware of the issues.

Had my master closet and linen Closet intalled today by Jesse and he was a true professional. He was quick, very clean and was great. Thank you for a job well done. Now I am very excited to get organized and complete the look. Great job! Thanks Jesse

I cannot sing enough praises about this company in particular our rep from Closets by Design, Jarett Mutts. We used Closets by Design a second time because of the amazing service we had the first time. Jarett was not only a good salesperson he was a great designer. The second time was a larger job and he used his expertise to execute our ideas. There was several areas in our home we wanted to maximize space and he had such inventive and well thought out ideas. He was amazing from beginning through the whole process. We have a rather small flex room that has to serve many purposes including a guest room. Jarett worked tirelessly to assist with getting that idea to a fruition. He measured and remeasured and we fit a single murphy bed that was so well measured it was within an inch of the window sill. It is perfect for our needs. We were skeptical it was not going to be possible but Jarett made it happen!
The installers, forgive me I do not remember their names were also kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions during installation and got it all done in a day!!
We are so happy with our closets and shelving. Don't hesitate to use the company. Ask for Jarett Mutts he is the BEST!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS: My Nightmare Experience with Closets by Design

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but my experience with Closets by Design South florida was so horrific that I feel obligated to warn others before they make the same mistake I did. From start to finish, this company demonstrated a stunning level of incompetence, dishonesty, and disrespect.

Bait and Switch Tactics
The sales consultant Karim who initially came to my home showed me beautiful samples and made grand promises about the quality and craftsmanship of their products. What was eventually installed in my home bore little resemblance to what I was sold. The materials looked cheap, with visible issues, mismatched colors, and edges that were already peeling within days of installation.

Shoddy Craftsmanship
The quality of the product is nothing short of embarrassing. Drawers that don't close properly. . Doors that aren't aligned. Even the hardware feels flimsy and cheap, despite paying premium prices. When I pointed these issues out, I was told that these were "within tolerance" - apparently their tolerance is "completely unacceptable."

The Angela Experience
But the absolute worst part of this ordeal was dealing with Angela from their team. I have never in my life been treated with such blatant disrespect by a company representative who I believe is management. When I called to address the numerous issues with my installation, Angela was dismissive, condescending, and outright nasty.
She interrupted me constantly, accused me of not wanting to pay. When I asked to speak with a manager, Angela said "if you want to speak to the him to give out about me im not putting you through" and that she "didn't have time for this" before putting me on hold for 20 minutes, only to return with the same attitude.
Her unprofessional behavior went beyond poor customer service - it was genuinely shocking. No customer deserves to be spoken to with such disdain, especially after spending thousands of dollars on a defective product.

Bottom Line
Save yourself the money, time, and inevitable frustration. Closets by Design sells a premium image but delivers dollar-store quality with below-zero customer service. There are numerous other closet companies that will actually deliver what they promise without the added bonus of being insulted by staff members like Angela.

I've now spent thousands of dollars on the product that I'll likely need to replace within a year. Don't make my mistake - run far away from Closets by Design.
One star is one star too many for this company.

We had our Master Walk in Closet and Kitchen Pantry redesigned. Michele asked the right questions and listened to what we had in mind. Her skill in measurement and design was just perfect! Gabriel was our installer. WOW - talk about professional, courteous and such an efficient installation. He was meticulous, checked in with us regularly and cleaned up nicely when finished each day. We are VERY pleased with the outcome. Thank you.

I met withmy soon to be designer, Whitney Sanders, for just a consultation, ideas, possiblities on my new relatively small walk-in closet. I expressed my long wish/needs list and she went to design a space for everything I needed and wanted. Whitney was such a joy to work with, besides professional.
Once the "go ahead" was decided, a two man team came in and built my space just as designed. Leaving it all clean and spotless.
These closet units can get really expensive but she was able to provide averything I wanted within my budget.
I am recommending Closets by Design to my son now.

Everyone we interacted with at Closet by Design was incredibly professional. From the beginning, Caitlin was very friendly and easy to work with. The two installers, Justin and Jacob, were the Best, they showed exceptional respect and professionalism. When there was a discrepancy in the measurements, they promptly called their boss, and Closet by Design addressed the issue. Not only did they complete the job on time, but they also did an excellent job with the installation, which I am very pleased with!

I could not be happier with my new closet. The whole experience was great from the start with the girl who answered the phone when I called who immediately connected me with a consultant, Kelly. When Kelly arrived, she listened to my needs and designed the perfect way to organize my closet. It didn’t take long before Zeke arrived for the install which only took a half day and he did an excellent job.

PERFECT! Close by Design met our expectation 100%. The designer was thorough and knowledgeable. The installers arrived on time and did a wonderful job. The closet looked like it was always a part of the room. We will certainly use them again if we need any of this kind of work. And the cost was reasonable as well. No complaints.

I am very disappointed in my closet. I was promised one thing by Faith, and received something totally different. Faith my designer consultant assured me that I would be able to store at least 200 pairs of shoes, which I was only able to store 115. The closet to hang clothing was not aligned appropriately and her suggesting was to put another hole to accommodate the flaw in the closet. In my opinion closet by design is misleading and deceitful.If you decide to used them be sure to have them put everything in writing what you are getting, don’t go by the design.
