Extremely Disappointing Support and Unfair Refund Policy – Feels Like a Scam

I am extremely disappointed with Corporate Finance Institute and the way they treat their customers.

I live in Ukraine, where severe electricity outages and limited internet access have made it practically impossible for me to use their educational platform. I explained these extraordinary circumstances to their support team and requested a refund for my annual subscription.

Instead of showing any empathy or understanding, CFI simply referred to their refund policy and refused to make an exception. When I asked for my case to be escalated, my follow-up messages went unanswered.

For a company whose mission is to make education accessible, this treatment is completely unacceptable. They claim to support learners, yet seem unwilling to consider situations where customers genuinely cannot use the service due to circumstances entirely beyond their control.

Their refund practices feel more like a money trap than the customer-oriented approach I would expect from a reputable educational institution. The whole experience feels borderline scam-like, especially when they keep your money and stop responding to your concerns.

I am not questioning the quality of their courses, but their customer support, lack of empathy, and rigid refund practices have completely destroyed my trust in the company.

I strongly recommend thinking twice before purchasing an annual CFI subscription. If something unexpected happens, don't expect much understanding or flexibility from their support team.

My experience with CFI has been genuinely great! What I liked most was the hands-on, practical approach to learning. Instead of just focusing on theory, I got to work on financial statement analysis, valuation, and financial modeling in a way that helped me understand how these concepts are applied in the real world. I also picked up some really cool Excel shortcuts and tricks that make working more efficient.
