Dreadful service

Dreadful service, order was never received. Shipment processed by a courier with a website in Portuguese with no way to change the site language - having to manually translate each line to find out whats happening with my shipment. Shipment got in country and was sent back without delivery and no notice at all, also took way longer than advertised even though I paid for expedited shipping.
First and last time.

Just a warning that you are invoiced directly from a third party for additional custom & delivery costs. Mine were £80 over and above. There is no warning about this when purchasing your products.

For reference I purchased 2 x Skin Ceutical products that would have ended up being more cost effective if I had bought directly through the brand.

I strongly recommend you do NOT buy from cosmetic2go, unless you are comfortable with the possibility of a significant additional invoice arriving after the goods have been delivered, perhaps from FedEx or another courier company, for unpaid duty or tariffs. This happened to me - I got an invoice from FedEx for 57% of the value of the order. It turns out they ship from abroad, despite their website having a UK address and pricing in pounds.

cosmetic2go say this is nothing to do with them and not their responsibility. I'm not so sure. While I haven't been able to work out exactly what's going, they're either not paying the right duties in advance, haven't done their VAT registration correctly, are making errors in documentation or are just comfortable loading additional fees post-delivery, onto their customers - probably to make their products look cheaper than they would be otherwise.

One thing is clear - I receive items from outside of the UK all of them time, and this has never happened before. So this company is definitely an outlier.

They have admitted to me that the information on their website about the potential for additional fees isn't prominent or clear enough - I couldn't see it anywhere.

Looking through the responses to the many other reviews here on this same theme, you'll see their defensive, 'this is nothing to do with us', responses. I'm sure this review will get one too. It's not good enough and I won't trust them again.

So whether they're just incompetent or actively looking to mislead customers and treat them unfairly, I don't know. Simple message - be very careful buying from cosmetic2go. You're probably better off going elsewhere.

We're sorry to hear that your experience with our site wasn't a positive one.
However, I would like to point out that customs issues are not the responsibility of the seller, although other sellers you buy from may assume this responsibility.
Our terms and conditions page states that we are a company based in Portugal, which does not mean that we can’t have a UK tax number and domain, which is duly communicated, registered and validated by the relevant authorities. Prices are converted to facilitate the local buyer's experience.
In addition, we clearly describe in terms and conditions and on the checkout page that the amount is charged in euros (€). Also, our checkout page clearly states before payment that orders over 130£ will pay customs duties. This is something that is legislated by the UK and a condition that no one can escape.
In addition to all these issues being clear, we offer customer service that is available every working day to answer questions and/or doubts. We also offer return and/or refund solutions for customers who are not satisfied with their purchase, product or any other eventuality. We always advise customers to contact us via email so that we can clarify and help with the whole process.

Great option and service

I decided to make an order with Cosmetic2go.com after I couldn’t find the baby formula Aptamil1 here in California because it was sold out for several weeks.
The service was great and only took a week to get the product by my door.
I would Recommend.

Useless customer care from start to…

Useless customer care from start to finish I received a payment confirmation an then was told I did not pay a week later so they then put up the price thinking I was coming back but no I would not recommend

I'm sorry you had difficulty completing your order.
Your payment was not completed and therefore your order was automatically cancelled. The customer is only informed of payment confirmation when the payment is completed properly, which did not happen in this case. So it is not possible that you have received a payment confirmation. Additionally, on your card payment account statement you can see that there is no payment movement for this order.

Customer service confirmed these charges were my responsibility, which wasn't mentioned upfront. Additionally, I encountered issues with product delivery and a partial refund that didn't cover shipping fees. It's crucial to be aware of potential extra costs when ordering.

Under the Brexit deal between the UK and the EU, two-way parcels under £135 are not covered by customs duties.
Unfortunately we have been informed that some (very few) customers are being asked to pay fees for orders below this value, as in your case.
Customs decisions are not our responsibility and we do not have any influence on the decision fees and/or taxes. However, the order recipient can always make a complaint to customs requesting a refund of fees and taxes that were unduly charged.
Once again I regret the situation of charging fees.

I have mistakenly ordered the wrong product and asked for this to be exchanged and was told that it was not possible.

Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable behaviour from them.
