Stumbled upon this store while at the pot place garden centre, found a great dining table which extends, staff were really friendly and the delivery men placed my new table exactly where I wanted. 100% satisfied and will be back.

Not overly impressed with this company. The sales staff are extremely warm and friendly. However, having ordered some bedroom furniture, I found the same products elsewhere at a much cheaper price. The items were delivered as arranged, but the delivery men refused to remove their shoes, saying they were clean. Once they assembled the furniture, muddy footprints were left on the carpet. Very disappointing and will not be using the company again.

I'm happy with my purchase of a sofa from Cumbria Oak. The ordering process was straightforward, and the delivery was quick and hassle-free. The sofa itself is beautiful and very comfortable. I couldn't be happier with my decision to buy it.

What a great lady in the Kendal shop, she was so friendly and helpful, we wanted a bed quickly and she was only happy to help. She checked with their warehouse to double check it was in stock, then booked us in for delivery. We got a call confirming this a week later we received our bed as promised. 3 weeks on we now have a full bedroom set to match our bed all delivered free to Arnside. Brilliant thanks Jo.

We bought a bed, two bedsides, a chest of drawers, large bookcase and 2 small bookcases from Cumbria Oak. Really lovely pieces of furniture which are perfect for our home. We were originally told it would be 4-5 weeks delivery but it came in 3 weeks on a friday as we had asked for and we even got a 2 hour time slot so i did not need to take the whole day off work. The guys who delivered amazing they put all the items in the places we requested and were really friendly. A week later Graham from the plumpton store called to check everything had gone ok with our delivery, we did say that we would like to return the large bookcase and swap it for a smaller one, he said this was no problem at all and gave us a refund for the difference.
Customer service and delivery have been really efficient and I would definitely buy from this store again if only i needed more furniture, i will however nip back for a pair of lamps.

Please check returns policy before buying I bought an item but the oak didn’t match our floor so returned it - offered credit note and took a bit of persuasion to get a refund. Was made to feel unwelcome- lady behind counter ignored me certainly won’t be back and we have had a number of items from here in past just never had to return any.

We visited Kendal shop which had a great selection of furniture and purchased a lamp and mirror, while we were there a very helpful chap recommended that we visited the shop near Penrith. 3 weeks later we paid a visit to the Plumpton showroom which also has a garden centre. The food there is really good and the plants although out of season were sill Looking good. We then bought a dining table and chairs which we had delivered 3 weeks later, we had it delivered by mike and another guy who were really friendly and they placed the table exactly were we asked. We will be back once this terrible crisis is over.

excellent service from start to finish, got a great price on an oak bed and mattress, had it delivered and assembled in my bedroom and all the packaging was taken away. a thanks to the delivery team who were very friendly.

My partner went to Cumbria Oak shop at Kendal today, to purchase a sideboard. This is to match the other items of furniture we purchased from Cumbria Oak, Kendal last year. Currently we live in Kendal LA9. We are moving to Skipton BD23, which is about 49 miles maximum distance, which is where we want the sideboard delivered. On trying to order the item, he was told by the shop assistant that 'they only have two drivers and it (ie Skipton) was too far away'! The assistant told him that we 'could be waiting three months until there was enough orders to deliver in Skipton'. No alternative was suggested, even though we expected to pay for delivery. The assistant did ring her head office in Plumpton, Penrith to try to help us, but to no avail. We are so extremely disappointed as we were trying to support our high street, rather than using the Internet. What's more annoying is that we have just checked on their website and it says: "NATIONAL DELIVERY
£20 to £60 | Delivered by Chris. We use a local firm who ensure your furniture gets to you in perfect condition. Chris picks up the furniture from our warehouse and delivers it direct to you. No middle men, no delays, just great service". So my partner rang the Head Office with a view to seeing if we could arrange this. However, before he could even ask about it, the receptionist told him she knew about our request, and hung up on him!!! So, if you are thinking about trying to support an apparently local business, go elsewhere. Not only are they not interested in good customer service, the furniture isn't even from the UK.
