Holistic approach to health & fitness
I joined TSD at a time when I needed to focus more on myself & to rectify some poor eating habits that had crept in. I was already used to exercising regularly but TED's holistic approach addresses nutrition, fitness & mindset in a holistic way with continuing education in how to make the best of yourself & I especially learned about resistance training.
My personal coach Fra is excellent, always keeping in touch, motivating & encouraging, with great solutions for whatever I need at the time to keep going forward.
The mindset coaches are also very good & helped me see the way clear when I felt a bit overwhelmed at the beginning.

I’m putting my health and fitness first…
I’m putting my health and fitness first and am supported and guided through that on this programme with thesportdietician. I was unhappy with my weight for a long time and not facing up to that. More than that I was lacking energy and vitality for life after a few years of ill health. I had read a lot of info on what to and felt overwhelmed with days but no action plan. The sportdietitian is Alex plus a team of experts and they help with mindset, food plans, exercise plans and a wealth of tools to make this sustainable. I’ve dropped weight, I now enjoy my cloths, I am sustaining that new weight. More than that I’m getting stronger and fitter and have more energy for myself and my family. I did have anxiety about the cost, it’s not the cheapest option. But for me it’s working and I’m worth it

Taking ownership of me! Weight, activity and wellness.
My weight was moving the wrong way, and underlying health conditions were impacting all aspects of my life. I find a quote supports me and keep a visual reminder.
This one is on my noticeboard- She changed. No, she healed. She learned. She grew. She set boundaries. She stopped settling. She put herself first. My copy has She crossed out, and I instead.
Since beginning, I've massively increased my daily step count, and now consistently walk 7000 + each day. I've lost 10kg and taken back me!
If you're unsure. Reach out ask some questions based on what you need to know. For me, sometimes doing what scares you is necessary & know that the team, community fully support. Working with Andy, my coach has been a space to be heard, encouraged and 'on my side'! He gives clear guidance, food and nutrition insights tailored to me and an activity plan which worked with my fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis. Very grateful.

Making better choices
Decided I really needed to tackle my weight and fight against all the limitations to my life that I was experiencing.BMI in obese category ,breathless on exertion, achey knees, reduced flexibility and missing out on family activities.It felt like now or never. Very definitely not cheapest but much better choice than injections that a lot of people are using. Some feeling of anxiety relating to cost but really pleased so far. Have lost 5kg and already noticed less breathless. Really feel like there is hope for change.
Eion, my coach is really supportive, has lots of useful suggestions and keeps in touch. He is helping me move forwards and is always up beat. Jane in mindset team also amazing. Pleased with progress so far and learning to put myself first but it is a slow journey.

I was dubious regarding the free offer of course materials. Alex promptly got in touch to reply to my query. I have received the course materials. FREE!
I’m delighted as my current finance situation does not allow me to afford any such plans at a time where I really need help. I have hypothyroidism and currently going through perimenopause. Looking forward to starting the program. Really grateful.

Putting myself first
The help and support that I have received from my coach Michelle has been greatly appreciated. Michelle has supported me in putting myself first, helping me to make the right choices and making sure that I am able to do my best to fulfil my goals.
On the 10th of May I joined the team of TSD members and staff in doing my first Tough Mudder, thanks to Alex and everyone at TSD I’ve caught the bug and have signed up to do another one later this year.
If you are unsure about becoming a member of TSD I would highly recommend you put yourself first and give them a try!

The Sport Dietitian has completely changed my life
Being a member of The Sport Dietitian has completely changed my life. I was thinking that my future was immobility and a shorter life because I couldn't get my weight off and had many obesity-related health issues. I had diabetes, fatty liver disease, was on list for bariatric surgery, had long term depression and anxiety, had long-term pain, my self-esteem that was in the gutter and was completely unable to set effective boundaries - so was just doing everything for other people. I had tried everything to lose the weight, including injections.
Now I have lost a good deal of weight and continue to do so, my body shape has completely changed. My blood sugars are normal, my liver is normal, my self-esteem is good, my depression has gone, I am less stressed, my anxiety is are now. All those things seem really massive, and they are, but the biggest thing is the way I think now. I'm a completely different person.
I have done Tough Mudder twice and couldn't be more happy with the support I get from the multi-disciplinary team on the programme.

Free advice and courses and motivational texts
As a lady of a certain age struggling to lose a pound despite calorie counting and exercising, along came Alex who saw the rut I was in and offered to help me with some FREE very helpful courses and advice as well as motivational texts. One thing I found helpful was getting in 100g of protein a day. Whilst I’d counted calories I’d never considered the macros. Its early days and I’ve a long way to go but I’ll definitely be taking some of the tips with me on my journey, thank you Alex 😁

I have only been on the plan for a week and I’ve lost 2.5lbs already. The aim is to achieve a healthy plan that is easy to follow and sustainable. This is the start of my journey…..
I have just discovered Alex The Sports Dietitian . After watching his introduction online I responded as I was interested in how he was going to be able to help and support my weight loss /fitness journey.
He responded very quickly. I had a very thorough, informative conversation about my issues , my feelings and my goals.
I felt very encouraged that Alex could help me, a 63 year old menopausal Glam Ma find my way back !!
Unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to commit to the monthly fee…. But Alex has very kindly offered me the services for free.
I have spent all afternoon with my headphones on watching the information/support and success stories…. Wow ! I feel very encouraged, and wholeheartedly want to commit to this new lifestyle journey and see if I can find me again …. Sustainable weight and fitness WIN
My weight was beginning to affect my mobility (knees), and I wanted to be more active, get down and play with my grandkids, be more adventurous and feel more alive.
Once on the program I was impressed by the main thrust is on sustainable weight loss and sustainable fitness, not just weight loss.
How to retrain your mind to believe you can do it. A lot of work on how to fit exercise into your day, with it being sustainable.
How to stay on track, ensure you look after yourself, and push yourself to be the best you, and get the most out of life.
My coach, Jamie, listened to my reservations, talked me through alternatives, and has been v supportive. I check in with him weekly.
After 9 weeks, I feel, I have explored my reasons (why’s) as to why I am doing this and come to term with them. I now drink water !, walk with more confidence and feel more in control of my life.
I found it difficult to do the exercises at home, and have now joined a gym to do classes Yoga / pilates and, new to me, Kettle bells.
Weight training may follow soon.
This is an expensive course, but no more than if you had a Personal trainer (PT) 2x week. If you chose to do this program you must engage with it.
Do keep in contact with your coach / PT. If you find an issue discuss it with them, usually via Whatsapp.
I did initially find it difficult to navigate on my phone, and found the website easier.
Different suggested meetings of short mindset talks / discussions by Psychologist and sports trainers, are thought provoking and have been helpful.
Finding you can watch them back at your own time Reduced the stress of thinking id missed them.
With the added support of the Facebook website of like minded people, a more active adventurous life is achievable for me.

Alex went out of his way to set me on the right path
I have had long discussions with Alex and his team regarding weight loss issues that I am experiencing. Although my recent weight gain was due to menopause and associated medication, I also realize after speaking to them that it is also very much related to deep rooted mental issues.
I am unfortunately not in a position financially now to sign up for the full programme, but Alex very kindly sent me the Metabolic Mastery Course absolutely FREE OF CHARGE. It is a load of information and I will be working my way through this during the coming week to get a better understanding of ways to loose the excess weight and KEEP IT OFF! :-)
Thank you very much Alex to you and your team for all your support and I will give further feedback once I have looked and listened to all the videos and read through all the material provided.

Alex is so personable
Alex is so personable, and really cares. It’s not all about sales with him, he has a genuine interest in helping people and that really shows.
I bought his mini course and it had a wealth of information. He text me and asked my so many questions so he could understand what I really needed. I really felt he got into my world and knew what would benefit me.
As I am menopausal he sent me a free
gift with a wealth of information about the foods I should eat, supplements, exercise - a real insight into what will work for me, a 57 year old woman in need of a lifestyle change to help me get stronger and feel more energised.
Although I only bought the £17 course it was well worth £500! Once finished and I have surplus money I do intend to join the monthly subscription as I know I will be in good hands and Alex and his team know their stuff.
I totally recommend ❤️

Stop procrastinating
I was like every other person of a certain age, giving up thinking I'm never going to lose weight now, until Alex and the team came to my notice. I have a coach Peter who has supported me over the last few months when I wasn't making the progress I wanted he encouraged me to look closer into things and turns out I had medical issues I had no idea I had, thanks to Peter I'm on the right path and with his encouragement and with everyone at the sports dietician I will do this thank you to everyone for their help and encouragement. If your not sure if your procrastinating like I was then stop, thinking of your future and how much energy you will have is a game changer

It's more than weightloss
When I first reached out to TSD I was in a bad place. Over the years I have tried every commercial and "Common Sense" method going. I add Common Sense as I also used the age old "burn more calories than you consume" because when I had to stop running, through injury, 10 years ago the weight piled back on, with the associated health challenges that brings with it.
I have spent far more money on this than I can truly afford, but I have had great results; the live coaching happens at times when my busy life prevents me accessing it, but it is available on playback and covers all kinds of health, fitness and mindset matters. While I can't attend myself, I recognise the ladies who do attend and they ask the questions I would have asked. These are real women on the same journey, experiencing the same challenges as the rest of us.
On joining, a 4 week meal plan was devised to my requirements, which got me started while I learned what nutrition I needed to build into my diet. That learning allows me to find and adapt recipes that work for me, where other commercial programmes keep you tied to their fixed eating plans and you fail the moment you finish following it.
Exercises are devised to be manageable at home with minimal equipment, starting a strength building regime that is the foundation on which to build an active life.
I have lost 28kg in 10 months, but more importantly, I have gained strength, fitness and self confidence in most aspects of my life.
Video calls with physio Tristan gave me targeted exercises that have got me running again, pain free.
The weekly check-in asks about non-scale wins and measures success and struggles in a way I have started adding into my journal to allow me to continue measuring where my head and body is long into the future.
Running through this is the Facebook Inner Circle where successes are shared and emotional support and practical advice is shared among the clients. Being a closed group allows us to open up where one wouldn't want the world to hear and see.
The biggest support through this is coach Peter, keeping me accountable when when I make a new commitment, putting small wobbles into perspective and cheering on when things are going well. I have acheived a healthy BMI and Peter is working with me through the subtle changes from weight loss to making the new lower weight and active lifestyle truly sustainable.

Impressive programme and supportive team
I have to say that I believe this extensive team of experts offer a really comprehensive programme that will help anyone achieve their goals.
I saw the programne but it was out of my reach financially due to unexpected cash flow issues.
I relayed this to Alex one of the co founders who has already been very supportive and has even sent me access to the programme for free.
I really love the goal that these guys have to help as many people as possible.
Give it a go folks as you will have access to a wide variety of experts who will help you to achieve your goals.
