Every member of staff of Daish - coach drive, hotel staff and email information was brilliant. Would highly recommend this company.

The Imperial Hotel, Eastbourne
Thank you yet again Daish for a wonderful holiday at The Imperial Hotel in Eastbourne. The hotel staff are wonderful, the food was great and plenty of choice and we had a brand new coach which was very comfortable. I had a room at the front and had a disturbed nights sleep every night due to people shouting and arguing outside so if I travel again will ask for a room at the back.
The only criticism I have was the driver on our journey from the west country to Eastbourne. I have no idea what his name was as he didn't speak to any of the passengers. He did not give a safety briefing. One elderly solo passenger found someone was sitting in his seat when he joined the coach. When he mentioned this to the driver and asked for help the driver told him to sort it out himself.
I would have given this holiday 5 stars but for the attitude of the driver.
People polite,food decent

DAISH ABBEY LAWN HOTEL
Have just spent 5 days at Abbey Lawn hotel what a fiasco ! Meals were disorganised, nearly colld and having constantly tp ask for missing items off the table set up.we had to hand back china on several occasions as they were dirty
Rooms were grubby on arrival, particularly the bath and our room was not cleaned every day so towels were not changed. The whole hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment.
There was a Cronic staff shortage during our stay and to add to our frustration a Daish coach driver who parked across the exit to prevent us leaving. And deliberately walked away thus refusing to move
Would I revisit , not on my life! Avoid at all costs......
As an ex coach driver there’s some…
As an ex coach driver there’s some things I would like to point out.
Firstly the hotels & food.
The food is sourced as cheap as possible the budget to feed a guest per day £4.60.
The furniture is very out dated but the company refuse to spend money.
The staff are friendly enough across the hotels.
As for the driver management, the transport manager Bryan Maddern is a well known bully within the company constantly sacking drivers that can’t keep to within the law as the company keeps on pushing the coach drivers.
It’s going to happen one day where there will be a serious accident.
The DVSA have been informed but for some reason keeps getting covered up.
The coaches are barely legal as they keep the cost down by using a back street garage, I know this is true as awhile ago they had my coach in for inspection should of taken 1.5-2hours I had it back within 45mins.
My advice use Shearings or Alfa travel even tho they use interchanges you will be a lot safer.
Penny pinching
I.like daishs.in fact I have just booked for Eastbourne.but when they want extra for luggage labels.?? When I get cards .letters.then a catalogue nearly every day.dont make for goodwill or fence.
Good time at the Barrowfield…
Had a good time at the Barrowfield Newquay room was great nice and clean very roomy meals were good staff friendly and nothing was to much for them any problem was dealt with promptly will be going back
I have just spent 5 days at the Russell…
I have just spent 5 days at the Russell Hotel and was appalled at how rundown it has become. I have been there several times before and always thoroughly enjoyed it.
Firstly we were on the 3rd floor snd there was scaffolding outside our window with a walkway round not very secure and unable to open the window
My friends shower didn’t work our toilets stopped flushing our rooms were dusty cobwebs in the corners
Very little staff my room was broken into and my debit cards stolen whilst we are all in the dinning room. Receptionist never on her desk they may have to help in the dinning
room,
Another guest had her debit card stolen manager aware but to my knowledge never alerted other guests to be careful about leaving bags in there rooms.
I was very anxious as had to remain in that room for the rest of my holiday knowing someone had been through my possessions and had gained access to my room. My lock wasn’t changed.
Whole hotel very dated and very dirty lots of dust everywhere.
Food adequate nothing homemade no fresh vegetables and very small potions.
Sorry won’t be returning.
plumbing not good entertainment great
The venue is amazing opposite the beach the rooms are tired but servicable food was care home standard. They need to rember oap work till at least 67 so expect better. So dissapointed was locked out of the hotel because we went out to the pavillion, sat like vagrants for 25-30 mins and freezing, no response from sister hotel or service door. this must be a health and safety issue. Quick fix welcome pack advising door will be locked and a number that can be entered to gain entrance for paying guests. Iwas told the bell was not working. i was able to see who was at our house in weymouth miles away no excuse. they need to do better. Bar closed at 11 pm most of our coach party were very unhappy about this. Entertainment was brilliant lack of staff and plumbing very questionable. sorry
Daish's reprieve
After our not so nice experience at the Esplanade thought we would give Daish's another try so booked Daish's blackpool which was great room lovely bright, fresh and clean, staff lovely, food not bad entertainment good, would definitely return
Food really poor
Staff are good, rooms clean, need updating, floor in bathroom has a hole in the floor ,very scary. Food was really poor.
The Esplanade Scarborough
Unfortunately there is nothing good I can say about our recent trip to the Esplanade.
Having booked a sea view room, I could not believe the room we were given. On asking at reception for another room, we were told there were none available.
The walls, floor, curtains and shower were all badly stained. The furniture should have been taken to the tip long ago.
The bedding and towels were clean.
The breakfasts were passable but the evening meals were really not good. In spite of often being among the first to be seated, we were always the last to be served and people became very annoyed at this.
All in all this trip was not a good experience.
Great experience
I’m surprised at some of the hotel reviews on here (though we’ve never had to contact customer services, so can’t comment on Daish’s refund policy etc). We’ve just had 4 nights at the Imperial Hotel, Eastbourne. We had efficient and punctual coach transport with excellent drivers, and a very decent traditional hotel on the seafront with dinner, bed and breakfast, even a half price bar on one night. Our room was a bit basic but was kept spotless and had all we needed (comfy beds, a decent en-suite with walk in shower, TV, good towels, tea and coffee facilities, plenty of storage). Two bars and a coffee lounge, evening entertainment - a singer, quiz and bingo every night - if you wanted it, and without exception the most friendly and helpful staff you could wish for. The food was absolutely fine, with plenty of choice, and the portions more than adequate. It wasn’t 4 star, but neither was the price! We had no complaints at all. We’ve had similar good experiences with Daish in Llandudno and the Isle of Wight, so would certainly recommend them.
Value for Money
Had a good time at The Devonshire in Torquay. Room large and neat and tidy. Hotel warm too hot for me. Food fine but slightly on the small side. Staff fine but was out most of the time. Went to show at Babbacombe which was awesome. Overall great value for money. Thou not a five star service you get what you pay for. Rooms weren't cleaned every day but that didn't bother us but would others.
So so disappointing having stayed in…
So so disappointing having stayed in Daish Eastbourne last year.
Ground floor room experience was non-stop creaking floorboards from room above. Each day 5 am onwards and late night. No sleep at these times. Do not book a ground floor room. Curtains in room riddled with black mould. Shower curtain too short for shower flooding bathroom floor. Breakfast OK but evening meals a lot to be desired. I think that most staff are trying there best. Example one bar person really bubbly and chatty. Other one not a single smile for any customer. Would most definitely not return. I feel that this hotel receives many dissatisfied reviews.
Great experience.
We, Epione Wellbeing Centre, organised a 5 day stay at Daish's Hotel, Shanklin Isle of Wight for 53 of our members! The booking of the whole event went so smoothly thanks to their excellent customer service. From Day one we knew we were in good hands. Craig, our coach driver, was fantastic. The hotel staff were absolutely amazing, nothing was too much trouble. We left with 53 very happy people. Thank you to everyone.
There customer service is a joke
There customer service is a joke. Went to scarborough in January. No heating. Wrong food given .dirty furniture. Went for a shower. Got shampoo and shower gel on. Then water stopped. Stood there 30 minutes freezing waiting for water to come back on.complainted said wait 35 days. Took 37 to offer me a £15 voucher off another holiday. Told them would never go with them again. To be told already posted voucher. And hope I would change my mind.
Worse experience in any hotels
We were very disappointed in our recent trip to Russell Hotel in Weymouth, We were allocated our room in the attic next to the lift. The bed is placed under a window (that was very draughty)it was 2 degrees outside and very windy inside and out, the bed itself was like jelly, if 1 person moved the whole bed shuddered. The shower sounded like a jet engine and just dribbled cold water, my husband went to complain but we never saw any maintenance person so never had a shower. We have stayed in numerous hotels throughout the years and we can say undoubtedly the worse one ever.
Disappointing Christmas stay
We were very disappointed with our Christmas break at the Russell hotel,Weymouth, recently, the Christmas buffet was very poor and had to queue for ages, the staffing was very limited in the restaurant and food meagre ,as we had paid a great deal for Christmas, the window in our room 125 was also cracked and would not open, we ve been here before but found it wasn't so good this time, good entertainment though, room otherwise good,
Weymouth turkey and tinsel
I have just returned from a Christmas turkey and tinsel weekend at the Russell hotel Weymouth.
An old fashioned hotel on Weymouth seafront in a beautiful location for the beach and town. It appeared that there was a shortage of experienced staff especially in the restaurant. Meals were served rather haphazardly and were not very hot. The buffet on Christmas day became very chaotic.
The Manager and his staff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel, although mostly clean, would benefit from an upgrade on decor.
Entertainment every night and sometimes during the day was well attended.
The biggest disappointment was our coach driver who did not seem that interested, other coaches had been decorated and the drivers arranged quizzes and other entertainment on the journey. Our coach had none of this. He also never did a head count of passengers after a stop and did leave 2 behind in Dorchester after an excursion, they had to catch a bus back to Weymouth.
I have always enjoyed my holidays with Daish but this one did prove to be rather a disappointment.
