Having find things difficult at the moment due to the cost of living etc I was in arrears with my IVA and it was worrying as hard to cover everything at the moment. But I spoke to Mikeal Dhalapah and I’m so grateful in how helpful he was. He didn’t judge and was there to listen to my situation and guide me on what he could do to help get things on track. His customer service skills were second to none if only most companies have someone like him it would make things a lot easier, he is a credit to your company and very professional whilst being a good listener and resolving my issue at the same time.

Neelesh Keesoondoyal provided excellent support and helped me in every way possible. He was reassuring, professional and understanding throughout the process. He took the time to listen to my concerns and reassured me that my case would be handled urgently. His approach gave me confidence that my situation was being taken seriously. His customer service was outstanding, and I really appreciate the effort and support he provided.

I contacted Ebengate for advice on dealing with debt following a divorcee. I was unknowingly mis-sold an IVA after being told that I could pay it off using the proceeds from my pending house sale. I later discovered that this was false.

Following an internal audit, the company contacted me and confirmed that I had been mis-sold the IVA. I was advised to opt out and explore alternative options. I was then promised a follow-up call to discuss my options, which never came.

I then called chasing them about the previous call I had, to which I was told there was no record of.

Since then, I have had to chase them two to three times a week just to get answers. Each time, I spend 10–15 minutes on hold, only to be told that they cannot find my case. If someone eventually manages to locate it, I am passed from one team to another, repeatedly explaining the same situation and answering the same security questions.

After weeks of chasing them due to their appalling communication, I was eventually told that my IVA had been deregistered and instructed to cancel my direct debit, which I did.

Now, weeks later, I am receiving emails regarding ongoing IVA payments. Naturally, I contacted them again, only to be told, once again, that they cannot find my case.

It is genuinely astonishing that a company dealing with people’s finances and serious debt issues appears to have such poor communication and case management. There seems to be no consistent record of previous calls, conversations or actions taken, leaving customers to repeat themselves endlessly while getting absolutely nowhere.

To this day, I still have no written confirmation that the IVA I was told had been mis-sold has actually been deregistered.

The entire experience has been incredibly stressful, frustrating and completely unacceptable, especially when dealing with debt following a divorce.

Honestly, avoid them like the Black Death.

I spoke to Ruth Sefali on Monday regarding our documents for our annual review. She answered all the questions and reply with an email very quickly.

Found myself entering a IVA. As I had over extended myself. I felt ashamed I had got my self in such a mess.

I contacted Ebenegate. They reassured me, talking through the various options open to me.

I was expecting to be shouted at. I know sounds ridiculous. But nothing could be further from the truth.

I am now in a better situation after I decided to enter into IVA.
