I had an emergency call out on Tuesday 24th march, paid 250 6.30pm and a guy came out around 8ish.
He came out looked at the part and work needed doing and he basically turned around and said ‘I can’t go out now and get the part as there’s no shops open’ so my reply to that was ‘so I paid 250 for F*** all then?’ and he basically agreed. He said the company should have told me to ring back in the morning where shops are open for parts and there would have been a guarantee fixed. And then I rang the company back the next day to complain and they tried to get the engineer back out but his excuse was ‘I’m from Newport I won’t know what shops to go to find the part, go and find the part you need online and see if I can fit it myself’ so paid 250 for nothing basically and no fixed boiler!! I will be putting a bad review down from this as my experience from this was disappointing and disgusting! I will happily wait for my money back. Should not be called ‘emergency hero’

Costs were clear upfront and Abbas, who came to sort out an electrical problem, did a really good job

When my Vaillant gas boiler stopped working, Emergency Hero responded immediately. Service options discussed, payment agreed and a named professional engineer despatched within the agreed time frame of 4 hours. Result- faulty sensor replaced with an original part and within minutes the boiler was working again. In emergency situations I would fully recommend Emergency Hero, just be prepared to pay a higher rate for the immediate and professional service provided.

On the initial call they are lovely and just want to help, and insist you pay the £360 or £400+ (for a in 2 hour slot) so they can get the ball rolling quicker. Being in an emergency with a leak you definitely want to get it fixed so I paid the money and got told they would be at my house by 6pm, later that time changed to 4pm I though great! At no point do they tell you that they might not be able to fix it!!! or I would have definitely not paid the £360 and gone to a regular plumber for way under half the cost! Then at 4.45pm the plumber turned up, a lovely man called Darren. He was very nice explained the sat nav got confused which was why he was a bit late. He had a look and said it was the automatic air float that needed replacing but he doesn't carry one as it was an unusual size so I need to get another plumber to get one and fit it at a later date. I have no issue with Darren but Emergency Hero should have told me fixes are not guaranteed or if it requires a follow up visit then this should be done for the £360. So a job which should have cost me no more than £150 is now going to cost over £500 as of the misleading sales tactics of this company.
I wish I'd read all the other reviews before using Emergency Hero, more like Emergency Maybe fix maybe not, it’s the same price!
On the phone on the initial enquiry at no point was it said the deposit was non refundable or that the problem would not be fixed!

Promptly sent me Nihat to solve the lack of electricity supply. He solved the issues efficiently and kindly checked my appliances too.

We needed a plumber quick and he came within 4 hours.

AVOID EMERGENCY HERO.

They sent someone to repair our boiler. A few weeks later exactly the same fault occurred leaving us without heating or hot water. Emergency Hero took no responsibility, we couldn't contact the engineer, they wouldn't offer a refund and said that the contract of service was with the engineer, even though we had paid Emergency Hero.
According to Emergency Hero, they just send an engineer. If your boiler breaks again the following day that's nothing to do with them as they have done their part. What a waste of £300.

Nihat Uyar from Emergency Hero attended our electrical issue within 24 hours. His work was quick and professional and completed in just under an hour on site.

Struggling to find anyone on a Sunday and with tropical fish we urgently needed the electric working. They were very helpful on the phone and explained cost for the call out which was very expensive. But they managed to get someone in just over an hour. Nihat was fantastic and did a really good job, he managed to find the issue and fix it. Nihat also did a great job tidying up and making good anything that had to be removed.

After cancelling an appointment within 20 minutes of making it, l was told Emergency hero do not give refunds, which was not explained to me in any way when l made the appointment, they kept £200, which is extortionate, l wouldn't advise anybody to ring this company on any account, l could understand it if an engineer was stood at my front door it was 3pm and they said somebody would be with me at 7pm, they charged me £400 up front, the local man that came charged £155, a massive difference, he couldn't believe they'd charged me before doing any actual work avoid this company at all costs, absolute robbers and dreadful customer service, hope they had a marvellous Christmas with my money because we certainly didn't

Good service from the plumber sutti but for the price I paid i would have not expected to wait 4 hours and for the repair to be a temporary fix. Now the original issue is worse than it was before. For paying £360 I'd expect it to be sorted

Initial contact with guy who booked the call seemed professional and thorough - opted for next day service as £150 cheaper. They took the money from my account straightaway, despite telling me they wouldn't. Yes, someone did come to look at the problem (very pleasant young man), half-diagnosed it (as subsequently found out), went away and then as 4 days later I had heard nothing but problem not fixed, I chased, took 24 hours to respond, apologized for not sending a quote. Quite clear they didn't want to do the job too small probably - happy to take the exorbitant fee just to turn up and spend an hour though. I found a local guy who turned up today within half an hour completed the diagnosis, changed parts fixed the issue all within an hour and charged me a fraction of what Emergency hero charged, he also said they'd ripped me off - definitely not heroes in my book and would never use again.

Brilliant! I must confess I was a bit worried at first when they asked for my card details, not being familiar with the company or service, but the person on the phone was very patient and helpful, explained how the payment wouldn't really go through until after the service was done, and he went out of his way to get me the best price and service. The electrician showed up within the next two hours and he was professional and friendly, went out of his way to make sure everything was safe and working. Would definitely recommend!

My 82‑year‑old mother, who lives alone, contacted your company because the cistern on her toilet was not working — the water was continuously hissing and the toilet would not flush. As this occurred on a Saturday, a plumber attended and simply turned off the water supply. No repair was carried out, yet she was charged £270.
Four days later, after speaking directly with the plumber, I was informed that a further £140 would be required to return and replace the flush mechanism. Since the initial visit, I have had to handle all communication because my mother does not understand what she is being charged for beyond a vague reference to a “call‑out and hourly fee.” At no point was she made aware that the job would require an additional charge or that the repair itself had not been included.
To summarise: a vulnerable customer was charged £270 without being told what work was required, what the charges covered, or what outstanding repairs were still needed. When I contacted Emergency Heros, I was told that everything was “transparent and in order,” despite the fact that my mother is now £270 out of pocket and her toilet remains in the exact same condition as when she first called for help.
This experience feels deeply unethical and resembles a scam operation

Paul king and the fella who answered phone (so sorry I forgot your name in my panic ) he took my details make it quick and painless shortly after Paul king called from phone call to engineer coming was less than 30 mins found out it wasn't a gas leak and he told us what we needed and got us a quote and kept in touch couldn't ask for a better service from both of them
