Paul King came in a very timely manner, very quickly diagnosed the problem, which he advised me was due to the water pressure at my property. He advised me that I would need to contact my water supplier, which I did in his presence. He stayed with me to speak to the water board himself in order to get a fast response. Lovely, friendly and chatty guy, and very helpful. A* service, thank you

The engineer, Paul, from R.E.T plumbing & heating gas engineer, was very professional and hard working. He installed our new boiler and explained how to use the WiFi interface very competently. I would happily recommend him to work for anyone I know. Emergency Hero definitely sent us one of their best.

Excellent service from Paul King, had a leaking boiler and after ringing round and not having any luck found these online. Came round within an hour and explained what had happened, fixed the problem for us and we ended up booking him for a new boiler to be fitted a few day's later. Again turned up on time and did a absolutely brilliant job. Clean and tidy after, was so pleased with his work. Lovely guy you won't be disappointed with his excellent service. Highly recommend 👌

I returned home from holiday to find the house freezing and no hot water, our Worcester Bosch boiler was not working and hadnt worked for a few days by the look of it. I tried my local heating engineer however he was tied up for a few days, i searched google and found this company. I looked at them and checked that they had engineers, i carried on searching for someone local but was then rung my Emergency Hero. I was wary but desperate. The caller stated they had 5 engineers waiting and could be with me within 2 hrs to get the heating fixed however the cost was going to be £480, this was t 3.15pm i agreed as we were getting desperate by now. I paid the money and about 45 minutes later i was rung by another company who told me thet they would be attending butthe engineer was on another job about 40 miles away and would attend as soon as he could. The engineer eventually arrived at 7.50pm, he diagnosed the fault as a fan replacement and would have to order the part. I have no issue with the engineer who attended but i now have to pay a further £400 for parts and labour.

The only thing that emergency hero did was basically call a engineer off their list and it has done nothing to replace or repair the fault that they called me about in the first place. It is bordering on fraud to charge £480 and not attend within the time frame promised and not repair the fault as promised.

Appalling service from Emergency Hero - long wait for an engineer to arrive for quite a steep call out rate; additional charges for labour, which normally would be acceptable - however, no labour was done, only a speculative diagnosis what the boiler problem could be; and leaving wihtin 10 minutes with false promises made for next day follow up - and then total silence. Only after messaging the day after if there was any progress a very late curd reply stating replacement parts could not be found. And that was it. I have no idea what i have been paying for other than a complete rip off

Yes it’s also more expensive (£300 including the first hour) but you get what you pay for; no hassles of finding someone at 7am, a plumber at your door within 90 mins to fix the problem, text updates and an app with a count down timer.

Ian was on time and very professional, he made sure the job was completed and then throughly checked that everything was working correctly, very happy with the service and would recommend to neighbours.

I used the services of Emergency Hero's in November 2025. I was charged £300 in advance to get an emergency plumber. I assumed this included the callout charge and the first hours labour. I expected to pay for the parts and any additional labour after 1 hour. I've just received an invoice from the plumber (23rd Feb 2026) for a further £204, the total value of the work carried out, and this came as a shock as I thought I'd already paid the full amount required. After a lengthy conversation with my plumber it turns out that the original £300 is just an introduction fee to link me to a plumber and nothing else is included. It is explained in their small print but in a desperate situation it is unlikely that anyone would read the small print. I feel deeply disappointed and will never use this company again.
I contacted the plumber and he informed me that he did not receive any payment from Emergency Hero. So someone is not telling the truth. He also claims he had issues himself with charges he had to pay.

This company charged me £300 to get a plumber out for a leaking radiator, the plumber sealed it off, he informed me that his charge was £120 that means the company charged £180 to phone a plumber or whatever anyone needs at the time. A lot of money to pay for one call. I have been without heating or hot water all weekend now waiting for gas engineer to fix things for me. What a waste of money. Never again. They are definitely not HEROES.

Got ripped off £360 for an hour visit, payment up front , couldn't fix it and no follow up.
Dont touch better waiting for local plumber in your area .If if have to wait a few days.

We were quoted £480 for a two hour guaranteed "Express" call out for a blocked toilet. We were told this was for the call out, repair and parts. The plumber didn't arrive within the two hours. He called us at 12.01 to say he'd be half an hour until he arrived. At 12.55 he called to say he'd assessed the problem and we needed to pay another £220. I said that wasn't what we were told. He said that we needed to pay as the £480 was only for the first hour. He had only been there for 50 minutes. This is a ridiculous price for an hour's work. £700 for less than an hours work! Absolutely disgusting.

What an amazing service after British Gas and Calor Gas couldn’t fix our gas leak having had our gas supply cut off.
Louie found Kevin who travelled 50 miles late on a Friday to fix what turned out to be our LPG hob. Isolating it meant we could reinstate our heating which was an emergency due to someone who has a disability.
We recommend this service so highly.

Been away for a few days and came back to the boiler not working and a freezing house. Contacted EH and they explained that if they came out that night there would be a £150 call out charge and £150 costs for engineer, but call out charged would not apply if booked for the following day. Appreciated the honesty from the advisor, especially in these days were everyone is looking to take take take.
Good experience with the engineer Paul King who came out, rang earlier to say what time he would arrive which is a blessing so your not just waiting in. Very knowledgeable, explained exactly what would be wrong with the boiler, tested it, checked the gas supply and gave explanations on the best course of action. Paul then followed up with a courtesy call asking to be updated with what the boiler company said and if he could help further to let him know which was a nice touch.
Overall Paul was helpful, considerate and knew his stuff 👍
