An accident waiting to happen, awful company

Driving Experience for 2 on Sunday 19th April 2026.

The whole experience was beyond awful!
My husband drove a Porsche which wouldn’t start initially, he and the “professional” had to exit the vehicle. The guy got the car started eventually and off they went. My husband returned after his “experience” absolutely livid!! The guy was extremely condescending and patronising towards him, (may I add that my husband has driven several Aston Martin cars before, he has been driving for years, used to own an Audi TT, is aged 58, and has a class 2 driving licence driving lorries daily!). The guy spoke to him like he was a 5 year old!!

As for my driving “experience” that was in a completely different league!!
I was due to drive a Mustang, I’ve always loved the cars and was so excited! I’d never taken part in a driving experience before unlike my husband.
Well, rather than driving what I thought would be a newer type car my excitement was swiftly squashed when I was accompanied over to an old black “thing”………the wreck of a Mustang that I drove was awful, and in my opinion EXTREMELY UNSAFE. The car I think came out of the ice age era. You couldn’t get your legs under the steering wheel, when I did finally squeeze in the steering wheel was digging into my legs ! This is obviously extremely dangerous as manoeuvering the car was difficult as the steering wheel was hard to turn against your legs, not to mention the lack of power steering, (which I more than appreciate wasn’t fitted in old cars – bearing in mind I thought I’d be driving a far more recent model). The foot well of the car on the drivers side was an accident waiting to happen, the carpet was so frayed it was sticking up in several places which could have easily caused someone to catch their foot in it resulting in a failure to operate the brake or accelerator safely, the brakes were diabolical, the professional I was with said the brakes are very soft and if you want to slow down or stop you literally go from “very soft” to practically standing on them to make them work! All things considered, driving the car around corners was almost laughable if it hadn’t had been so frightening!
I think the suspension needs some maintenance to say the least, even going around the corners without having my foot anywhere near the accelerator was dangerous!

Back to the price, we HAD to pay another £25 as it was a weekend, when I went to book the experience weekday driving wasn’t given as an option so they have you over a barrel there just to get some more money out of you…..
I also paid and extra £30 for photo’s, they haven’t arrived yet in my inbox and if I’d have known what a disastrous day it turned out to be I wouldn’t have bothered! The price of the photo’s is a money grabbing exercise, they are simply emailed to you, you don’t even get a “physical” printed photo!
So all in all the total cost was £90, (£35 voucher, weekend supplement of £25 and £30 for photo’s). What a TOTAL waste of money!! A truly awful few hours, driving an EXTREMELY UNSAFE “banger” and the attitude of the “professional” towards my husband was more than degrading!
I landed up in tears during our journey home!

The staff member that accompanied me was lovely, his name was Harvey, and at the end he requested that I leave a “Trustpilot” review, well I’m sure you realise from reading this complaint the review of the whole experience will be damning to say the least. People most definitely should avoid booking anything with your organisation.

Great first driving lesson - André is an excellent instructor

My son’s driving instructor Andre was excellent - he provided clear, friendly tuition and made the experience truly enjoyable. My son is 14 and it was his first time behind the wheel. Andre made sure it was a great experience.

Overall, fun, but far from perfect. Some small tweaks could elevate the experience.

Great experience to drive these cars, but while a great experience, it could be improved. The cars are all very shabby so don't expect a premium driving experience. They get well used and it shows. decrepit interiors, split seats etc... also, just grubby. The cars need a good clean and some TLC, which does detract from the experience. I paid for the two cars (Ferrari and Lamborghini) plus high speed passenger ride. You could ideally do with a sighting lap or the passenger ride beforehand so you know the circuit before you drive, as you are so focused on the circuit you can't truly enjoy the car. The two laps goes by in the blink of an eye so you dont truly enjoy it. Main criticism was the high speed lap. I paid for my 7 year old son to join me. No car seat, noone checking he was secire strapped in other then me. Not really very safe in my opinion. The booking system is also poor, just finding someone with a clipboard, not related to what time you booked. I ony drove four laps (in two cars) plus a high speed lap but was waiting about for over two hours to complete them. The system of booking and timings was pretty poor. Overall, fun, but far from perfect. Some small tweaks could elevate the experience.

Disappointing

Appreciating we’d book a car that is renowned for breaking down, we knew there might be issues, first attempt at booking the car broke down on the way and we were called so we’re able to make the decision to book again. This time we turned up, asked what we were driving and basically got a laugh and a “no your not”, we thought he was joking but turned out the car had broken down again but this time no phone call or email to let us know. Baring in mind this was bought as a Father’s Day gift for 2025, our first attempt was in nov 2025, and we weren’t able to get booked in until April 2026 at no choice of our own. We were offered to drive another car, of which they appeared to have a huge selection on their print outs but in reality there was about 10 cars, which limited what my husband could wanted to swap to. Once decided, we were then faced with a £50 upgrade! It wasn’t us at fault!

That’s not to mention the poor state of the cars, for many this is a dream experience to drive a car you’ll never have the chance to drive. Whilst my husband loved the actual drive he was so dissapointed that the car just wasn’t looked after, warning lights all over the dash. One gent we spoke to said there was algae in the Astin Martin, and then when we queued for the high speed ride, another car broke down and they “had too many cars in the workshop to fix it there and then”.. it only needed a new tyre!

We are desperate to book a drive in my husbands dream car but we won’t be using Everyman again.

I can confirm I have no received an incentive to write this, but the team get £5 per good name review.

A very enjoyable supercar driving afternoon at Dunsfold Aerodrome circuit

The lady who greeted us at the bus stop drop-off point when we got to the area close to the track was very pleasant and welcoming, and she took us straight to the marquee where hot and cold drinks were laid out, and we had our own table. We were lucky with the weather for a mid-April day, but it was still good to be able to sit down between races - especially for my wife, who was there as a spectator to watch me drive. Our host, a young lady called Charlie was friendly, helpfully, and attentive throughout, and is a credit to Everyman Racing. The young guy I had spoken to the day before by phone to book our premium package at a discounted rate also took the trouble to come over and say hello to us, which was a nice touch. I enjoyed driving all five cars that we had booked, for the day, but particularly the Aston Martin Vanquish convertible, which had sublime handling, the Maclaren, and the Porsche 911 Carrera. The instructors were all very good, friendly, and - where required - such as when I drove the extraordinary Ariel Atom - very patient. We much enjoyed our day, and Willy be sure to book another Everyman Racing experience before long.

Long queue but good in the end.

It took half hour queuing to be be booked in, it was fairly cold but at least it was dry. Once we were through it was good. Harvey, the instructor was very calm and understanding. Look out for extra payments in the T&C's.

Great fun but deliberately misleading communication on insurance

I bought a track day experience for my son on his 18th. He really enjoyed the day. The cars were fun, and the instructors great. I did not, however, appreciate the poor communication around insurance. There is a £5000 excess, and advance information only lets you know this and the fact that you can purchase a collision waiver on the day. The day before we were due at the track I had a call at 4:30pm from Everyman trying to sell me some add on options (there are so many add on options - be prepared to be bombarded with offers to pay more for all sorts of things) and I asked about the collision waiver. I was told this was highly recommended because unlike on normal roads, if someone else hits you on the track (ie it’s not your fault) you still have to pay for the damage. I was also told I had to buy the insurance then or the price would go up on the day. But with 30 minutes before their office closed they could not provide proof that they had told me about this in advance, and I was was left feeling that communication had been deliberately misleading. Looking at previous Trustpilot reviews I see these criticisms have been levelled at Everyman for years. I would advise those booking to read all the small print, ask in advance about hidden last minute costs like insurance, and be prepared to be bombarded with (expensive) add-on offers on or just before the day.

Updated review: I see Everyman has responded to my review. It is a strange response given that I had no problem with waiting times.

Fantastic experience

My 15 year old had an hours driving experience and it was fantastic. She learnt so much. The instructor Dan was so patient she absolutely loved it. Definitely coming back! It was so well organised and run, barely any waiting around.

The cars are in poor condition

The cars are in poor condition. The Ferrari was particularly bad. No drivers door handle and parts of the dashboard fall off whilst driving. The track at Carver Barracks is not fit for purpose. So many pot holes to avoid, which negatively affects the enjoyment.
The two laps per car is simply not enough, especially if one one of those you’re held up by a very slow driver who’s instructor doesn’t ask them to move over.
The organisation is good, but this experience is not good value for money at all. I would not recommend it.

Very professional ran

Very professional ran. No time wasting. My son had 3 cars to drive there was about 15mins between each car. The instructor are very friendly.
