Thanks for sharing your feedback. We understand that charging time is an important consideration, especially when you’re trying to get back on the road quickly.

Just to clarify, the charger used for your session is a 50kW fast charger, rather than a 25kW unit. The 45-minute period refers to the point at which an overstay fee begins — charging can continue beyond this point, but an additional fee may apply. The applicable time and pricing are shown in the EZO app before starting a session.

If you prefer not to use the app, an EZO RFID fob provides a quick way to start a session with a simple tap. If you’d like one, contact us at support@ezo.ie and we’d be happy to arrange a complimentary fob to make your future sessions hassle-free.

Overstay fees are applied once the allocated charging time has passed, and the applicable fee and time limit are shown in the EZO app before starting a session. This helps drivers plan their charging time and allows the charger to become available for the next driver.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. We understand how frustrating it can be when you’re relying on a local charger and don’t get the speed or availability you need.

The charging speed you experienced is certainly something we’d like to look into, so we’ll make sure this is passed to our team for review.

Just to clarify the charging time limits, if you’re referring to EZO’s overstay fees, these don’t begin after 30 minutes. For the fast charger, the overstay fee applies after 65 minutes, while the slower charger allows up to 12 hours before an overstay fee applies. If the 30-minute limit you mentioned refers to signage in the car park, this has been put in place by the car park itself rather than EZO.
