We are sorry to hear that you remain unhappy with the outcome of your claim. We understand how disappointing it can be to have a claim declined.
Insurance cover is provided in accordance with the terms and conditions of the policy. Where the appropriate cover is not in place, or a claim does not meet the policy requirements, terms or exclusions, unfortunately cover cannot be provided. In this instance, the policy terms were not met and the claim was therefore declined.
Following your concerns, the matter was also fully investigated by our Complaints Team and a final response was issued. You subsequently referred the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service, who also agreed that the claim had been declined correctly.
We appreciate that this was not the outcome you were hoping for and thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
