Perfect for people who need help to finally get productive on their computer. Not a miracle (I'm very creative when procrastinating) but at least you can't wander aimlessly on social networks anymore.

Annoying and doesn't let me open websites, so it's doing its job.

The premium version also blocks apps and a schedule. Which I personally struggle with, since I usually just open a gaming app and play for hours.

The fact its a one-time payment, shows they do want to help people and not exploiting the fact I have an addiction at least.

Software is useless, can be easily circumvented by launching windows in safe mode and deleting the software folder. Developer would not return money even though he specifies on the website that if the software is not what we expected he would refund.

Brilliant app. Blocks websites AND apps. Free version is brilliant, and paid version is brilliant-er - and absolutely worth the $50 for a lifetime (so that someone else can put a password in and you can't get on certain apps or sites, no matter what you try)! Can bad screen time habits for good.

A really helpful feature is the "Blocks Categories", where you can have lists of websites to block all at once (eg. Games, Social Media, Adult Content, or Sports). They have pre-made ones, and you can customize your own.

Very easy to setup blocks to prevent myslef using distracting apps or websites. I started using it to lock in for exams because I kept procrastinating.

If you are not a dummy, and you can set it up correctly(not hard at all), it becomes one of the best apps on the internet.

"Cold Turkey nearly destroyed years of work. It failed to block the websites I selected but somehow managed to lock my entire system. Every app would auto-shutdown after 60 seconds. It even interfered with my BIOS/Boot menu, preventing me from navigating with my keyboard. I had to perform a system restore and a clean reinstall of Chrome just to recover my PC. Unstable, dangerous, and refuses to uninstall. Avoid at all costs if you value your data."

Cold Turkey Blocker is an amazing piece of software that has changed my life over the past two months. I used to be a hardcore gamer, spending 7–12 hours a day playing, which was slowly ruining my life. After a lot of searching, I discovered this tool—and it made a real difference.

Horrible, keeps closing Chrome even though I have the extension installed.

This has been my ride-or-die web blocker for desktops (Mac and Windows) for the last 3+ years.

Nothing compares to Cold Turkey. It is simple to set up, has endless profile options, and is extremely strict when you need it to be.

One time purchase price for life is unheard of in the modern SaaS world, a breath of fresh air. It is well worth the fee to have password blocking (the safest method IMO if you have an accountable partner/friend).

Also, a side note: I cannot believe how many negative reviews there are on here. These users are likely to be creating their own problems and then blaming the software. Yes, this is an extremely effective blocking tool. If you use it, you may block yourself more strictly than you anticipated. The stricter it is, the more effective it is, and thus the more careful you need to be. This is the software working as it should.

I finally found a site blocker that actually works and doesn't feel like a total headache to use. I ran into a small technical glitch while setting up my block lists, so I reached out to their team expecting to wait days for a response. To my surprise, they got back to me in less than an hour with a clear fix that solved the problem immediately. It's rare to find software these days that combines a rock-solid product with customer support that actually cares. If you’re struggling with distractions and want something reliable, Cold Turkey is definitely worth the investment.

The is the best writing app I've found to overcome procrastination. Each day I kept checking my e-mail or watched another YouTube video, postponing my writing more and more. I never hit my daily word count and kept coming up with excuses and promises like "I'll do it tomorrow." (I wouldn't)
Long story short, ever since I started using the app, my daily word count went from 500 words to 1800 words. I think that's all I need to say for how effective the app is.

I'm using an M4 Mac Mini with a 2TB SSD and 16mb of memory. My browser is Safari.

Yesterday, I installed and set up Blocker only to stop myself from watching YouTube from 0630 to 1830h on weekdays. I set the security to stop me from changing the settings in any way to prevent myself from cheating.

It did block YouTube completely.

However, I started to get odd things happening immediately.
"Not Connected to the Internet" kept flashing up constantly.
Websites took ages to load. I do mean ages. In fact, my computer became unusable.

I uninstalled Blocker this morning, just to be sure it was the software that is causing my problems.

I will test for today and update this later to be fair to the developer.

It has all the options you could ever want to customise your blocking settings while locks are truly impossible to bypass. Most importantly, I wanted to post a review out of gratitude for the wonderful, personal customer service. But the app in general is amazing, changed my life. You can tell it's created and managed with a lot of care and I hope it stays that way always.

Error of the Chrom extention, I am unable use Chrome, and Google accout, email, it did happend second time, it dangerous. The support sent me an email that they will conntact me in two days....

Garbage software - Do not install!!

Does not work at all on mac and is very difficult to uninstall.

This is the first blocker app on my laptop that I actually can't get around in a moment of weakness... and it's free, has no ads, and is SO easy to set up! It's incredible, and I highly recomend. I just wish it was possible to have the same thing on my phone...
