I have been working with banks and mortgages on and off for over the past 50 years. NEVER have I had the positive experience I have had with GoodLife home loans. The reason for this stress free wonderful experience was due to Dave Shulte. He was amazing! He is knowledgeable, professional and friendly. He took control and guided me through the entire process making it pain free. I would recommend him highly to anyone. I am going to miss our fun conversations since my loan is closed. He said he will always be there to support me in the future and I might just call him to say Hi.

With the recent reduction in mortgage interest and our reverse mortgage loan at 5%, the right decision to re-finance saving 2% was an easy one to make. The problem would be finding the right agent/officer to get the job done, as my prior agent/officer was terrific but no longer in the business.
Having built a relationship with him, he generously referred me to a friend and associate of his still in the business, Dominick Rodriguez, who turned out to fulfill every point in the title I have given this review.
Dominick was knowledgeable about the business and details of these loans, clearly experienced in this business and most importantly to me, having been self-employed all of my life, communicative. With the normal bumps and grinds in the road of getting a loan done, he was always there either by phone, text or email following up on his and the company's needs as well as mine....a highly valued guide through a difficult and tedious process. To me, communication is the key to a successful end, coupled with persistence and timing, in any business effort.
And, although the loan, for all intents and purposes, has been finalized, Dominick is still assisting us with a detail that needs attention. Impressive and much appreciated.
Good Life Home Loans should be proud and happy to have such a "K-E-C" individual in their employ.

As a 69 year old retiree I was searching for a way to lower or eliminate my mortgage payment. I spoke with several Mortgage companies and found Brandon Simmons of Good Life Home Loans. What a wonderful experience it was to have Brandon walk me through all of the process, approximately 4 months worth. He explained every step of the way and by the second month he was like family. He checked in with me every week whether there were updates or not, just to see if I was ok or had any questions. His level of compassion and concern was admirable.

The Goodlife agent,, Dave Shulte, is very good. He knows the business of Reverse mortgage extremely well, and he isn't pushy. He responds to questions and inquiries in a timely manner. Kathy at the local office is also very helpful. It is a frustrating process, but they remained friendly and concerned throughout.

Dave is the consummate professional. Honest, thorough, knowledgable, and maintained a "can-do" attitude that we appreciated very much.

This is not my first endeavor into reverse mortgages. The comparison between my prior mortgage company and GoodLife is unfair because there really is no comparison. The service my mortgage officer,Chris Lee, provided was amazing! No question was unanswered. Non of my inquiries were treated as tedious or not important.

We checked online to get more information about how a reverse mortgage worked. We found "Good Life" and input our contact information on their website. We were contacted by their representative, Chris Lee. Chris was very friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the process and provided us with the information that we were looking for. He was able to answer all of our questions before we even asked them! After we decided that a reverse mortgage was for us the entire process with Good Life from start to finish was amazing. They sent a notary to our home to sign the necessary paperwork on the application in the beginning, and also to facilitate the closing at the end. Once the closing papers were submitted (on a Friday afternoon) we received the money in our bank account the following Wednesday. Chris remained in constant contact with us and he always responded immediately to any questions that we had. He took time to get to know us and we never felt like we were being pushed or rushed. He made us feel like we were the most important customer he had. Overall the process was much easier than we thought. We would recommend Good Life to anyone!

It was a pleasure to work with Dave Schulte. This seemed an overwhelming and traumatic task with all the paperwork and requirements, but Dave did it step by step and kept in close contact, and it went so smoothly. Chris Lee did a fabulous job of getting our refinance of our RML after contacting GoodLife based on a mailer we received. Process went very smoothly without a hitch and we were never contacted by our original broker to same us the money on interest and get our credit line increased. Would recommend GoodLife to anyone interest in getting a reverse mortgage loan.

In my search to find out information and get proposals for a reverse mortgage, my first call was with Dave Schulte with Goodlife Home Loans. Dave informed me about the whole process and every step. He was very friendly and was very quick with mailing the proposal. After talking with several companies and getting their information, I decided to go with Dave. Unlike some of the other companies I spoke with, Dave did not try to pressure me into anything and was not a hard sell. I really appreciated that and his detail oriented approach in layman's terms. David Schulte, is the BEST. He was on top of the process from start to finish. He has guided all of us thru this process the best way possible. the closing was a process due to COVID-19.
