Dave Schulte was the reason i got the loan. He was so professional and from the beginning he was a real go getter. He explained every step along the way. Dave was the reason this loan really happened. I loved working with him. God bless him.

The representative I worked with, Scott Sherman, was amazing! He explained everything to me, and apologized for any "hang-ups" we experienced. By hang-ups, I mean delays. It did take a long time, over 3 months, to complete. The rep kept me aware of what was going on regularly. The specific problem came from the appraisers who didn't do their job completely. Other than that, it was quite painless. Again, my representative was awesome!

My representative for GoodLife, Kathy, was very helpful from first contact. She was readily available to answer my questions and did so in a manner that was very clear to understand. She kept in good contact, letting me know what was happening with the progress of my loan status. All in all, it was a very good experience.

I used GoodLife to refinance my existing reverse mortgage through AAG. This experience was drastically different as my Loan Officer, Kathleen Pritchitt was very knowledgeable and helped me to understand so much more than before. In addition, GoodLife does not charge many fees so I received much more money - my original RM had $16k+ in closing fees deducted from my initial disbursement.

Dave went above and beyond for us. Made the complicated something we could understand. But the best part was easy access to him. Just a phone call away. Prompt returned calls. Well Done.

Dave Schulte my loan officer kept me sane, and was a great guide through a jungle of red tape. He explained simply, what is complex.
We made it together, and he is still ready to help me.

I contacted three companies, AAG, Liberty and GoodLife. After receiving original paperwork I had a personal problem and told all three I would need a month before I would do anything. AAG Haunted me all month. Dominick from your company acknowledged and offered help. I then contacted and asked for up to date figures AAG Sent old figures. Dominick sent up to date. His approach to me was such that I felt respected, no question his customer service is one of the main reasons I chose GoodLife. I then dealt with Dawn Klein who again was efficient and caring. I had originally been told the process could take 8 to 10 weeks due to the high volume. It took 31 days. I would be pleased to highly recommend Dominick Rodriguez and GoodLife to everyone who needs this service.

I've had a previous Reverse Mortgage, and was not thinking of refinancing it - until Dave Schulte contacted me! He was a so friendly, and peaked my interest, so I asked a lot of questions. Dave was SO patient with me, and took the time to answer all of my concerns! Once we actually started the process, he was right on top of things, and walking me through every aspect. We had daily contact until everything was completed. It was a pleasure working with Dave, and I got a much better deal than I had previously! Thanks, Dave, for making this a painless experience!

I understand that the process is complicated, with lots of requirements and paperwork and some delay, but it went as well as I could have wished. I am glad that to have it completed.

This was a big decision for our family to obtain a reverse mortgage. I researched all the rates and fees. Then it boiled down to choosing the lender. Most are competitive, but a few were looking out for their best interest, (not ours). The key points I look out for are: honesty, integrity, responsiveness, (ability to communicate in a proactive way - (keeping us informed along the entire process), and education. By education I mean the agent should be able to explain things in laymen’s terms at times. I lucked out and found all of these traits and abilities in one person/company in Dave Schulte with Goodlife Home Loans. He was patient in communicating and helping us determine which program was in our best interest. I guess that’s what made it seem so effortless on our part.

The caveat in this is DO Your own RESEARCH. That makes it much easier for you to you choose your agent/company.

Kathleen Pritchett at GoodLife Home Loans handled all aspects of our HECM- from application to closing- promptly and efficiently. She kept in touch with us about all requirements of the process. And the terms of the mortgage were very competitive. We could not have been more pleased with her services.

My 92-year-old father was concerned about the possibility of losing his home if he could no longer care for himself and would have to go into a nursing home. Since he doesn't have the financial ability to support the high monthly costs of living in a care facility, he (or his estate) would most likely lose his home to the state for "estate recovery."

I looked towards a reverse mortgage as an option to give him peace of mind and the possibility of in-home health care for as long as possible if his health should take a turn. He is very active with no major health issues, takes care of his lawn, and bowls twice a week with scores in the 200's! I knew reverse mortgages have gained a bad reputation but I soon discovered that the industry now has better oversight and control and was worth checking out. I reached out to three different companies for information and rates. GoodLife Home Loans was one of them.

Dave Schulte was our representative from GoodLife. Right from the start, he was professional, passionate, courteous, and above all, no high pressure. He takes the time to listen to your situation and needs and provides the answers and guidance necessary throughout the process. I didn't have quite the same experience with the other two competitors.

A reverse mortgage may not be for everyone or every situation, but Dad now has the ability to draw funds to assist with home care, if it's ever necessary, and will not have to worry about monthly payments or losing his home for the remainder of his life.
