Missing ingredients
My order was delivered perfectly on time & in pristine condition but was missing key ingredients ie sauce & pesto which resulted in the dish being bland & unappetising. When I complained I was offered €3.60 off my next meal. I thought this was very poor. Customer care has now offered me a further €10. Thank you

I made the tandoori chicken
I made the tandoori chicken. It was so easy with everything measured out.
The marinade gave the chicken a great flavour. The portion sizes were ideal.

Has gone downhill recently
We started getting hello fresh a few months ago. At first it was good as you get everything you need so no food waste but recently there are number of issues. Firstly the ingredients just don't stay fresh long enough to use them all. Often, multiple items from different meals will have use by dates within a couple days with no way to have made all the meals before and twice I've had to throw away an aubergine less than 5 days after receiving (we get 5 meals), I've had to throw away the included peas, chilli and even once the garlic clove had mould so food wastage which defeats the purpose. I'm a vegetarian so we always get the vegetarian meals. Recently, a bag had chicken stock in it instead of vegetable stock. My husband contacted them to say and whilst the mistake was acknowledged, they said the veggie meals does not necessarily mean vegetarian. Sorry what??? Isn't that false advertising? We have also received the incorrect recipe card and had items missing from the box, for example the pasta for a pasta dish. In our most recent box,we received a free dessert. How nice! Well no actually, it contained beef gelatine so I couldn't eat it and it was made with pistachio nuts which my husband doesn't like so it was wasted.

The first thing people ask is how much does it cost?- it sounds dear but it is excellent value for money. I literally don’t have to shop for myself. The only thing I purchase is cleaning supplies. Everything is in the bag with the recipe- no need for jars of spices that sit there for years. Perfect proportions and everything is FRESH. I won’t go back to shopping again, I live on my own and it’s perfect.

Arrived a day late and the ice packs…
Arrived a day late and the ice packs had long since melted in the hot DPD van. The refrigerator items were at 6c when I opened the box so for safety I chose not to use the fish and chicken supplied and purchased alternatives. The portion sizes are very large - enough for 3 meals rather than 2.
Overall, nice dishes but I don’t think I will buy again.

Very easy instructions to follow even if you dont know how to cook.
Great selection of meals available. Picture of meals and what is them so you're not trying to think of what to cook that week.
You can change your menu if you dont like whats on that week.
Takes the fuss out of going shopping and getting all the ingredients.
Gives you exactly what you need so theres no waste.
Over all very happy with hello fresh and i am enjoying trying new food and recipes.

Great variety of food to suit our needs. We chose low calorie dinners but they are all delicious and so easy to make with the step by step instructions that come with it. I would highly recommend it. It takes the stress away of choosing meals in the supermarket and there is no food waste as you get what you need.

Promised an update - still waiting 28 days later.
In May, emails to HelloFresh went completely unanswered for over a month with no bounce-back or warning.
Live were no help and the agent abruptly ended the chat session right as I was typing a request to speak with a manager. It then took another nine days of silence before that escalation was even acknowledged.
After raising these issues, a customer service manager (K) called me four weeks ago (on June 16th). They promised a formal follow-up email with the outcome of an investigation into the ignored emails and the disconnected chat.
28 days have passed since that phone call. To date, that promised follow-up has still not arrived.
I have sent multiple emails over the last two weeks asking for an update, but my requests have been continuously ignored.
Please do NOT reply to this review directing me to contact your customer support or live chat. Doing so in the past has achieved absolutely NOTHING and is a complete waste of my time. I am asking for an update and reply to my email with the outcome promised.

I have only been using hello fresh for just over a week and so far I am very happy with it. I am now retired and my wife still works so cooking duties fall to me, I am far from a good cook but the instructions are very clear and the pre prepared portions make life easy.
